If you guys want to know more on the Boba Fett/Sarlacc thing read the book, Star Wars, Tales of the Bounty Hunters, it's a great book and goes into way more detail about Boba Fett along with some other bounty hunters you may or may not of heard of. and yes he killed a lot of Jedi, he even tried to duel Vader with one of his Jedi "trophies". he lost and Vader took the saber but it isn't mentioned in the book, if you go to luukesabers.com you can get a history of almost every lightsaber ever mentioned including the one Boba Fett used.

I know I might be playing the devil's advocate here, but I heard the story of the stormtroopers being left over clones, and it made sense to me. It was explained to me that the Stormtroopers can't shoot as well as the original clone army the Jedi had because they were third and fourth-generation clones (and you know what happens when you make a copy of a copy of a copy . . .) Although I was also told that due to the quality of the stormtroopers failing, that the Empire did recruit some new guys to make fresh clones. Obviously if the new guys aren't as good as Jango was, then their clones will also be inferior. This also explains how there could have possibly been a trooper short enough to fit Luke, if they're not all clones of the same guy. or it could have been a clone so far removed from the original that it had degenerated to that point. I also feel compelled to point out that GL has agreed to let people write certain stories into the EU before and then done something completely different in the movies. Witness the entire back-story of Boba Fett. There were no clones in the book I read. Weird thought... Are the Clones digital copies or analog copies? ;D Afterall, digital copies wouldn't lose their purity (supposedly)

. . . eh?
I have no idea what the answer would be, but then, I also don't think I understand what you're asking. How could you make a digital clone of a person? Wouldn't that just be like a hologram or something?

It was really meant as a bad joke...as the clone troopers were digital characters for the most part.
Though, I suppose if you did make a digital map of the DNA structure and make copies from that, they would be digital clones.

Luuuke Skywalker is what happened to Luke's hand (and lightsaber) in ESB.
As doe the Palpatine Clones...he knew he would have to die eventually, so he had a few made for himself.

The whole cloning storyline in the EU really turned me off. Resurrecting old nemeses is very unsatisfying. Been there, defeated that.

But Ani, I liked the Death Star of the Month Club!
*stomps foot* - note heavy sarcasm ;D ;D ;D
Unfortunately Aayla, I believe Palpatine's clones was on Byss. (Dark Empire)
Other clone facilities were on Wayland (Luuke)(Thrawn Trilogy)

They make a digital copy of you and then fax you somewhere else. Of course "you" #1 is then disintegrated and "you" #2 somehow materializes someplace else. Imagine cloning yourself everytime you had to run out for milk!
