Very nice, guys! Looks like he's finally working his back-log.
Hopefully I'll hear back from him too.

Did he say anything about why he hadn't been responding?

I cited personal issues for the lack of response to business inquiries.

beware- I am have been trying to resolve a simple thing like a faulty (defective) pair for months, he doesn't answer for weeks on end, wont refund, suggests I find a local repairer and he'll pay (sure!), says he'll send a video on how to fix. I am $250 out of pocket! Truly folks, though his product looks good, it is not worth the hassle if something goes wrong! Such are the illusions of fair trading on the internet. We are too quick to judge it OK when things go correctly, but slow to realize the good old advice that a trader's worth is shown when things go poorly, and how well they respond to fix the inevitable problems that arise. This deal has been as about as bad as it gets, and ebay provides no protection.. Be warned! don't buy unless you are prepared to write off the cash if it doesn't work out

Well I gave mine the real test this weekend, 2 14 hour days at the Ren Fest ... mind you the Colorado Fest is on the side of a mountain, the only flat ground is the jousting arena ... onl;y one blister on the heal from a wrinkled sock. I got an email from hiom last week asking how they were fitting.
I hope once he get caught up he customer service will improve.

His boots look nice but it doesn't seem to be worth the hassle. I'd rather give my business to Simon at Costumebase in Singapore; boots look the same, quality seems pretty good and a lot cheaper..

Simons boots are of a MUCH lower quality and accuracy. The Hassle problem is a good one, but I have to disagree with the rest.

Wow those do look terrific.
I just emailed him today asking if my boots were still scheduled to go out at end July and asked for pics.
I still haven't cancelled the Amex inquiry though.

Well I've heard nothing about my shipping inquiry and request for pictures.
Amex to their great credit has refunded the $$ I spent. Lesson learned - always use a credit card to pay for PayPal items.
I'd still be willing to pay Carlos for these boots though. If they do show up I will contact Amex and have them re-issue the money to him. But there's no way before I have them in my hot little hands.
I so bummed. I had planned to order a pair of black field boots from him this summer - but now, no way!!!
What a shame. Great product by all accounts and he's just shooting himself in the foot by atrocious customer service.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Well, at least you've got your money back, but it would be better to have the boots. I was very lucky to find some decent boots without needing to have anything made.
