Thanks Mon-Jas. I sent him a request for custom boots and a blueprint a couple weeks ago and hadn't heard back. I thought maybe he was mad at me. I'll give him a few more days then. ~ Koda

I heard from him late last night. He will be making the Rahm Kota boots. ;D They'll be similar to Qui-Gon boots but with 5 straps instead of 6. ~ K 3

If anybody has been doing business with Carlos Diaz, you may have seen that he took all of his merchandise "off the shelf" so to speak. He has no items for sale at the moment on eBay. I sent him an email asking him why. He responded today:
Hello Bill,
Thanks for your e-mail. I apologize for the delay getting back to you. Yes, I’m still in business. I just need to resolve my shipping issues in order to offer a better service. The last shipment was handled awfully by the shipping company and many customers were upset.
We are currently working on your order. It will be shipped as soon as possible.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
Regards,
Carlos A. Díaz

Here is a site for great boots. But you have to send very accurate measurements. If you do, you will not even have to break them in........ www.motorcowboy.com/product/ANIK1 That's where I got my boots and yes I didn't have to break mine in but there is one thing make sure you make your shoe size bigger if you tell him what you drew you will not have much space for your toes lol. I just got mine in yesterday....a month and a half. I got the Obi Wan EPII dark leather color. They are awesome in appearance, but the only problem is (as trying them on in shorts mind you) the calf part is like a little bigger than I sent in measurement. It has adjustments around the heel which is fine and the bottom is hard sole except the heel. I'm sure the fit will be perfect when in costum ( pants) and will have to break them in......oh and INSOLES!!!

I just heard from Carlos yesterday regarding some design changes to the Rahm Kota boots. I had insisted on getting them in the dark brown oiled leather (Anakin style) instead of the med brown (which he had already made my boots in - had to remake them). I also suggested how he might hide the velcro stitching on the cross-straps by lining them individually. He is working very well with me on this project, and communicating regularly. I think the key in getting him to make a custom design is to allow plenty of time and make sure you see lots of pix before he ships the boots. I'm fairly sure these will come out very nice. He is sending me photos of the updated prototype in a couple weeks which I will post in the Rahm Kota thread. ~ Koda

I asked for pix and he told me he couldn't promise anything and he would try. Needless to say I never saw anything as far as progress on my boots. Maybe because they were not as cutomized as yours. But still....
