Some nice stuff there, you always post such great links for fabric. It's a shame that most of the places that I shop don't have websites.

I have a question that doesn't involve fabric I have found but rather fabric I am hoping to find. I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to where to look or even if something like it exists.
I am trying to costume as Atris from the Knights of the Old Republic videogame. Her tabbards and obi have a geometric design on them...I have seen some people who are Jocasta Nu who have the same kind of geometric pattern that i need just in yellow instead of white. Any clue as to if they created the pattern themselves or just happened to have a really lucky day at the store and found it?

Thank you very much for sharing that with me. That is really helpful. I don't think I am up to embrodiery considering this is my first costume. Best of luck with yours. With all the detail I'm sure it does get time consuming, labor of love though I'm sure. I really appreciate the help though. I would have never thought of that myself.

You're welcome.
I got the idea from how I ironed on ordinary hand embroidery designs. I've also see one person use iron-on seam binding but it looked too wide, in my opinion.

Yeah I could see where the seam binding might look a little wide. I really do appreciate you sharing your experiences since that is such a huge help. I don't embroider so I would have never thought of that and probably would have come out with something that didn't look even close to as nice. It is a very interesting concept and the final product looks really great as well. I'm thinking of doing mine in grey since the design on Atris doesn't stand out as much...well I guess I will do it in grey if I can find that color in the marker. ^_^

Finding the color you want in a permanent fabric marker could be a problem. Keep hunting!

I have set a goal of possibly getting it done by September and I'm hoping that that isn't crazy of me. I do have some time on my hands so perhaps it is feasible after all. I plan on doing a lot of hunting and I am going to try and not settle if I can help it.
