Didn't see it in the local Target but snatched one up today at Cost-Plus, but it was "cost-plus" as it did cost a bit more than $10. later edit....and here it is: (the second one down is the only one I didn't make and the third one down is the only one that needed power tools!)

Just finished this one today! It's the Big Yellow Box Style VII Right now the blade is only 3/4 in. PVC, but I do plan on buying some acrylic for it.

Wow... thanks a ton!
I thought for sure it wasn't gonna turn out, but my dad and I pulled it off! My friend is going to make up his own design, and it's going to be like mine, only single.
I do have to say, it said 40 inch blades, and man i'm cutting that down big time, what do you guys suggest?

For a single bladed sabre 40 inch is pretty much it but for a dual blade then personally 40inch is way too long. As a maximum I usually go for 2/3rds at most, otherwise when spinning it around it hits the ground too much.

Well the blade is detatchable. With the blade out of the hilt, it's 32 inches, but when i screw it in, about 3-5 inches or so is screwed inside the hilt. So in other words, screwed in, it's 28 inches or so, but when I screw it out of the hilt, 32 inches.

That sounds fine to me.
My sabre is nearly as tall as I am. :-D I stand at 5' tall. The sabre with blade stands up to my shoulders. I hadn't had any problems with twirling. Not yet at any rate. Although lower ceiling rooms it's a challenge to not chop off the ceiling fan. :-)

Well the standard length of Karate Bo is six feet, and since the double bladed lightsaber is based on this weapon, the length should be consistent. But if you are very short or very tall you should either increase or decrease this to suit your ability.
Nice job on the saber by the way! ;D
