Ok, Jedi... show off you lightsabers! I saw so many different saber hilt designs being carried by Jedi at Dragon-Con, that I thought it might be fun to have a thread where we can show them off! Post a pic (or a link) of your saber here, along with how you made it (or where you got it). Also, if you have a collection, post a pic! Here's mine to start. This is the saber I carry on my belt. I found it on e-bay about 5 years ago, but it was a bit different when i got it. It had a hollow plastic (not acryllic) blade which was illuminated by a krypton bulb. The saber also had a sound unit in it that was merely an electric motor that made a buzzing sound, kinda sounded like an electric toothbrush more than a lightsaber! Another problem was that it had two switches, one for the light and one for the sound, but they both ran off of the same battery! Every time I turned on the sound, the light dimmed! So needless to say, all the electronics were removed and replaced with a blue LED that came from a penlight. I'm continuously looking for a brighter LED so that I can get a more visible beam of light. I don't plan to put a blade in this saber. I have other EL sabers to duel with. As for the hilt design, it was meant to be a copy of Obi-Wan's from ANH, but I gave it a new paint job (added the gold and copper colors) and filled in the extra switch hole with a green gem. So let's see yours!

I'm embarrassed to show mine here. Go to the Main Page and see it on my profile if you're that curious. It's basically just a drain pipe with some o-rings and two pill bottle caps glued back-to-back and painted for the pommel. I call it "primitive style" since its so lame

It is the one that I carry. It is the one I created based on design Style IV from The Big Yellow BoxI built it the week before CII. I'm always suprised that people ask me if it is real. More to come

No way... never be embarrassed of you creativity! Hec, what do you think the original props were made from? They were made of spare parts and junk! Your saber looks great, definitely not lame! A flashlight would be lame, (especially when worn with a bathrobe).

I just went to Big Yellow Box... what a good resource. I've always heard about it, I just never took the time to go there.

I tried posting it from the site, but it's WAY too big. But I uploaded my new saber pic in my profile. I can screw an acrylic blade into it like you see there. A freind of mine made both my sabers. ;D

Oh yeah. Duh! What she said. I still can't figure out how to get both sabers there, though.

Deletion done. lol! But the link isn't letting me in. It's "restricted". Looks like i need a password or something. You could also try this: ![]() URL here[./img] without the "." after the third bracket.

This is the one I normally carry around. My own design. and my modified Fury I have 4-5 other EL sabres besides the resin stunts, MR FX ones and the toy versions. One of these days I might even get around to taking pictures of them.

tengence, thats a really nice saber... I'm partial to that particular style (Luke RotJ, Obi-Wan ANH and RotS). Did you make it? Does it have a blade, a light, or is it a prop replica? Do tell!
