Since I really don't have the time to learn leatherworking, I was looking for the Jedi pouches like Obi-Wan and Anakin have. I found some on a site, e-mailed for prices and never got an answer to the e-mail...and now I can't find the site back!! There were some on E-Bay that I put into my watching file and then forgot to watch (yeah...I am a doofus).... So anyway....do any of you have a site for the pouches bookmarked?
As a side note, I also found some of the Jedi food capsules on E-bay and won that auction. I figured by the time I found the pens and bought them for the caps, bought the cans of spray paint and buttons that I would spend $20.00 in supplies and aggravation....so it seemed worth it. The guy did a super job on them!!

Czuco has a guy who made her pouches and they look excellent. I don't know if she is giving his email address out though................maybe you could email Schph and I with it Czuco? Please???
As for the food capsules, I wound up making my own, and they came out well, but it does cost a lot in materials and can definitely be aggravating!! Plus, I couldn't find the right pen caps in time for CII (though the ones I used worked fine). Those pens cost about $2.00 each!! I wasn't willing to spend that much at the time, so wound up paying about $0.75 each. At least I have a lot of spare pens now ;D! Who did you wind up getting them from Schph? Can you email me (or post it, if you wish) with his eBay user name so I can check ou his auctions? Thanks!

I'd have to find the e-mail first. I may have gotten lost when MicroSith e-mails went down for good. give me some time to check my old mail.

I looked all over for the Staedtler (i think that is how it is spelled) roller pens and could not find them locally. Found a few places on the internet that had them and did find they were quite expensive...then I would have had to buy a couple cans of paint etc...so decided to skip the entire aggravation and did the e-bay thing.
I also ended up ordering a Jedi belt from the Prop Palace. It hasn't arrived yet so I can't tell anyone if it is good or bad. I really respect people who make all their own stuff instead of just buying it, but there are only so many hours in a day and I am chasing my tail most of the time. I always set out to make it myself, then when I run into supply problems and finding the basic tools, I usually relent and buy it already made. Well, at least I did manage to sew the costume and make my lightsaber.....

Schph, theres no shame in getting help with something. I love my cosume, but i'll admit right there on the spot that I personally didn't make it. I don't have the skills for it and rather then waist $$ on materials to keep trying I know where I can go to get things done. Thats all it is. I have a friend who says my web page looks f*cking awsome. And while i put MANY hours into it. alot of the stuff is borrowed backgrounds, and the buttons had to be made by a friend of mine because i just dont have the software, or even the right computer to do stuff like that. Theres only so far a person can go before they're going to have to step back and say, "i need help"

I'll say right now, that I have no intention of making my own lightsaber. I'll be happy to buy a custom one from someone more talented than myself. Nothing wrong with that Schph! I will be very happy to just get my tunics done and make a new robe!;D The belt and pouches, well Nick knows a place around here to order them, so when I'm ready I'll probably do that. And can we please watch the language?

Um, I have to agree with Xana on this one Czuco. Sorry, but even censored (and hiding one letter isn't really censoring it ), that word does not belong on the boards. Hey, I know everyone swears at times, but we shouldn't be doing it here. Remember..........we are JEDI!!

Eureka! The guy who made the Jedi food props that I won on e-bay has another set up for sale. His ID is: phantom-shadow and the number for the current set is: 1551747316 ...auction ends on July 30th..they are at $10.50 right now....I ended up paying $21.00 for my set...I figure the pens at $2.00 a piece, the buttons, 4 cans of spray paint (his set has one copper, one silver, one bronze and one gold), and finding the time to do it...well...it is worth it
And Xana...if you change your mind about making your own lightsaber (the final step to becoming a Jedi is the making of your lightsaber...or so it is written)....I do have an extra distributor shaft from a Chrysler (it is aluminum) that I used as a part of my hilt....it is yours if you want it.

Thanks Schph! One question....do you know if he/she used the Staedler pen caps for the capsules? Because it doesn't look that way in the pic!
And Czuco....I agree with your friend that your webpage is awesome ;D!!!!

I have never actually seen a Staedler pen close up...I really could not find them locally. I took a good look at the ones I have and there is a small marking on the bottom of the clip part, but I can't make it out and I don't recognize the marking as any pen that I am familiar with like bic, fisher, or anything like that.... so I can't say 100% for sure...... they do look cool though!

Pouches are simple. If you want them just mail me at kimsha17@yahoo.com. If you can send designs and ideas I can send prices back.

Well, I don't know about the pouches, but as far as the capsules are concerned I made my own. I have 6- 3 silver and 3 gold. I bought the spray paint on sale and already had/have leftover Crayola modeling clay from a bio project my freshman year of highschool ('00-'01).
For the capusles themselves, I simply used the caps from erasable pens that had no ink left (and believe me I go through at least 4 of those a year now), took out the eraser, and filled the gap from the eraser w/ clay then made a rounded piece of clay for the bottom of the cap. Several (and I do mean several) coats of spray paint and voila- custom food capsules.
I don't have any pictures, I don't think, because the capsules are on the belt I use with my first Jedi costume and I don't wear that one anymore... However, if you want pictures, I can see about taking some! I can even show what the cap and clay piece look like separate because a couple of the capsules need to be re-glued together... LOL. -Sionna
