Sho'ar paused for a moment. Her senses stretched out in the battle, touching those that fought for the greater good. Searching she found what she needed and knew where the two hostages were. What she touched.. was power.
'Oh my...' The Alderanian Jedi released her hold. For a moment she was stunned. What she felt was surprising. It wasn't from the enemy, but from the ones that needed rescuing. The small life that was also there was bright enough in the force to stop her breath.
" I have to get on that ship.." The Jedi whispered as she to made her way quickly down to the ships. .

The hanger bay was a bustle of crowded equipment and workers. Ships hummed as their pilots climbed in. Words of encouragement rang as the Republic fighters cheered on and began their lift from the ground. Sho'ar arrived in time to see a few transports and her fellow Jedi leave. A crew chief quickly approached. Grease smeared his face.
"We have a small fighter ready." He stated. The Jedi had to smile. No doubt the others had told him she was coming.
"Thank you." She replied as he took her over, handing her a com-unit head band for communication.
'Now things really get interesting.' She thought as she set it on.

The ship that awaited her was small and sleek. Twin lazer cannons graced the sides of the silver hull. The shape was slightly U shaped. A few black scorch marks from small skirmishes painted on the sides of the ship. Sho'ar flickered her eyes over the ship as if to check for any anomalies. shouts still rang in the room, as crew members worked on damaged fighters that came in.
"Master Jedi..." Sho'ar turned to look at the crew chief once more.
"Standard wing and landing group." She replied as the Jedi master Leaped up int the ****pit, hands racing over the many controls. As the engines rumbled, the Jedi hit a switch activating the com to her head. The static flared and then cleared as her wing come threw.
"Green 5 at your command."
"Green 7 standing by."
"Green 3 here."
Two more staticy replies shot threw the com units. Sho'ar flipped a few more switches and took her hands to piloting the controls.
"Stay on my lead, close defensive formation. We're heading straight to the main ship."
Murmurs of agreement came back as the group left the hanger and entered the battle. Stars shinned back against the blasts coming from the mixed ships. Sho'ar dived straight threw a small cluster of enemy ships that looked as if they were made from different models of ships.
"Green 5, mark .205 on your right." The Jedi Master came over. The force tingled her sensors as she dived bombed down and around. An enemy fighter came up behind Blue 5 as he moved to the coordinates she gave him. Triggering the firing button, the plasma blasters shot out, clipping the enemy pilot 's right wing. It spiraled off onto space smashing into one of its own. A brilliant ball of light erupted.
"Nice shot!" Green 5 replied.
"Cut the chatter. Reform on Green Leader." One of the other pilots shot threw. Sho'ar ignored it all as they continued on to wards their target.

CHAPTER 36
The small transport 'Dreamer' swerved and buckled as it headed down to wards the zabrak home world. Inside the pilot cursed under his breath as he hit a few controls. 'Dreamer' was a small carry freighter, able to hold over one-hundred personal. As it did now. In the back , strapped in were the Jedi knights. Looks of worry were on their face.
"I don't get it.. why do we have to leave Master Sho'ar by herself?" Kirruk snapped out almost impatiently. His cool eyes looking at his companions as the ship buckled again, forced him to grab on the the handle bar over his head.
"Patience Kirruk. Sho'ar knows what is best. As we must do what is needed." Mataka replied. her long golden hair spun over her sandy tunic as deep blue eyes shinned like correlian gems. Vetkarth only nodded as he folded his hands to his side.
"I am sorry. I just don't think we should have left her on her own..."
"Remember your training Kirruk. A Jedi's life is full of hard choices. You will understand later. Now is not the time for this. Master Sho'ar will be fine. Now we must concentrate on the planet below." Vetkarth sighed softly as he finished. Sometimes he wondered how Kirruk was already a Knight. At times like this he was more a padawan then anything.

Kirruk only nodded and closed his eyes. So many things were happening. He didn't like it, yet he tried to hold down his impatience.
"Hold on back there!" The pilot's voice came over the com system. The Jedi looked at each other as the ship suddenly dropped into a free fall. The pilot swerved to control the ship as they entered the atmosphere. '
Smoke and fire filled the view port as the ship cleared the cloud cover. The city was heavily under attack as 'Dreamer' came down and under control. Once landed a switched was flipped and the back hatch was lowered, allowing the troops to file out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``
The Jedi were the last to come out as another Republic cruiser landed nearby. Soldiers went into squads as unit commanders approached the Jedi. Vetkarth spoke first as his comrades stood a few feet behind them, scanning the area.
"Send out each squad to secure the surrounding areas. Establish a safe area for wounded and capture those you can."
"Yes sir." The man replied. Trained to take orders as he turned on a heel and ran off. His black and blue uniform seeming bright against the sands around them.
"Mataka." He turned and looked at the others as one squad set up, staying behind to be under the command of the Jedi directly.
"yes?"
"There has to be a layout for some sort of plan here." He started. Kirruk only lowered his head as he waited to be told something to do.
"Look for whoever is in charge and capture them. Without leadership we may be able to control the situation on here." Mataka smiled, finishing his thoughts as she pulled her long hair back over her shoulders. Vetkarth only sighed. Mataka was gifted in thought-sensing and it was only prudent that she let him know she still could pull small pranks.. even in times like this.
"Yes...take whoever you need. Stay in contact.. I don't like the way this feels..." The Jedi finished and then looked over at Kirruk.
"Kirruk, I need you to take part of the squad and head to wards the main capital. Be visible and help those you can. we need to secure the central city."
The young Knight looked up with a startled look. Never had he been directly in charge of any squad. Let alone lead anyone. After all this was his first real mission without his master and as a Jedi Knight!
"Yes Master." He replied in utmost respect. he knew he would be able to do it.
"I will take whoever is left and head north-east into the city. This way we should be able to flush out the attackers easily for the rest of the Forces. May the Fore be with you." vetkarth dismissed them. Mataka gave the young knight a smile and she too hurried to take charge of her unit.
A ship exploded just ahead of Sho'ars team. One of their own was taken. This was not a good sign. The group that threatened this planet was well trained . Hitting another switch as the Jedi blasted apart two more enemy ships she sounded over the com unit.
"Send signals to all squads. Tight formations and use secondary command."
A buzz of acknowledgment rang over the com unit as she changed frequencies to the main ship.
"Captain Laster. Proceed with secondary command. I repeat proceed with secondary command. These are no ordinary fighters."
A few static clicks returned her answer.
'darn.. they must have lost communication.' She thought. Another flicker in the force, Sho'ar rolled to her left as a fighter screamed past.
"Ive got it." Green 5 came it. His ship sped right in front, almost as a dance. The enemy fighter exploded. The small parts or chaired metal flying past her hull.
"Thanks five."
"No problem."
The Jedi took a calm breath as the fight went on. Secondary command was a code for the Republic to stay in close formation and call for more help. In essence it was more for each unit to take charge in case something else happened.
'I don't like this. If these fighters are this trained then this man must have more then these ships. Why hasn't the Republic or the Council found them?'
It was an interesting composition. Yet one for later debate. The Jedi Master stretched out with her senses and touched the minds on each ship. There...
"On my mark.. Follow..." She replied to her team. Hands moving on the controls as her dark eyes scanned the battle. Even this was hard. To feel the lives snuffed out threw the force. It was painful to bear. Yet she was a Jedi. She would suffice!
Flying over scattered Debris already gone cold the group fought their way closer to the larger of the ships. To a regular eye it didn't look much larger. To a Jedi it was.. Sho'ar looked at her data box.
"Shields are down for the docking bay..that's odd." She replied. It smelled of a trap... then again there were ships of the enemy paneling in and out. many coming and going from the planets surface.
"We're going in fast and hot. As soon as we land take evasive action and stay together..." Sho'ar commanded over the com. More replies yelled threw.
"About time we see some real fighting.."
That would have been green seven. The Jedi cracked a small smile. Enthusiasm was good for this. None said a rebuttal to the pilots comment. They were going to need it on the ship.
CHAPTER 37
Chunks of charred rock from buildings were everywhere. The air rank of death as Kirruk began to lead his team into the city. A few survivors poked heads out of broken windows. Unsure of who these new forces were now. The Jedi Knight stopped and looked back. His eyes in a friendly gesture as the men behind them looked around for any signs of attack.
"Please. We mean you know harm. We're from the Republic." Kirruk stated, Moving his hands up into the air.
One zabrak male came out of the house. His tattooed face and horns looking very fierce. sandy brown tunic That was torn and bloody graced his body as he half-limped toward the group.
"Why have you come offworlder? We sought no help? Why should we trust you?" He hissed, yellow eyes becoming slits.
Shouts and sounds of blaster fire rang in the air. The soldiers tensed up more as a few raised their weapons.
"The Jedi Council sent us. We received a message from orbit. We're here to help and save whoever is on the ships in orbit." Kirruk replied quickly. He must have said the correct thing for the Male immediately dropped his vengeful gaze.
"Priestess Aerith and her consort? They are still alive!..."
He turned his head and yelled something in their own language. A moment later two other zabrak's came out. One a young child and the other another male. Kirruck stored the names in the back of his mind.
'Those must be who Sho'ar are going to save.'
"Come with us. We have a safe place for now and we will tend your wounds. Please.. hurry."
The Jedi urged. Kirruk added a bit of his force calming techniques and sent them to the small group. For a moment the zabrak seemed to decide otherwise. A look from the child seemed to decide otherwise.
"Take us there."
A republic solider came up to Kirruck, offering a friendly smile.
"Just follow me. We're not far from safety."
The Zabrak didn't offer anything in way of a thanks as they hurried past the Jedi and disappeared down the street. Kirruck only sighed as he brought his hand to the lightsaber, uncapping the silver and gold hilt. Things were going to be getting interesting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
West of the city mataka pressed her back to the side of a building. Her Purple lightsaber hummed in front of her face as the rest of her team was scattered in the surrounding buildings. Blaster fire scudded the buildings as the enemy shout out orders.
"GO!"
The Jedi yelled as she moved out from the building. Swinging the silver hilt in a forty-five degree angle she caught two bolts that went right back at their attackers. Mataka opened her right hand, using a force push to bring forward a small cart into a group of three Grey clad attackers.
"GAHH!"
"TO YOUR RIGHT."
"I'M HIT."
Pains of anguish rang out as both sides shared casualties. Already two of her own soldiers had fallen from shots. Matakka spun her blade again, deflection more red bolts. She noticed that there were even more of the unknown enemy then she thought. Things were starting to look bad......

Vetkarth felt that the others were in danger. Yet he had to go on with his part of the mission. He was sure that the others would manage. They were Jedi and it took alot more then a few blaster bolts to kill them.
'I hope.'
He thought sourly as he leapt up to one of the taller buildings. The Republic soldiers had already formed into smaller groups as the frightening continued on. Already their own group had managed to capture a handful of the enemy. The Jedi tightened the grip on his hilt. Once again he thumbed the activation button. A bright blue blade hummed magical to life as he pouched off the building into a somersault. Landing into a crouch the Jedi kicked out to the side as one of the enemy came running into him. The impact to the mid-section stopped the man in his tacks with a low grunt.
"You are under-arrest...

CHAPTER 38
Aerith gave the man a look of surprise and disgust. Her eyes flickered over his new facial features.
'He should have been out cold..'
The Sith gave a low growl as Mephitso tried to make a move toward him. Brax caught both gestures and with a wave of his hand he sent the male flying back against the bulkhead.
"I see you've notice the remodeling of my face.." He sneered. "No matter.. you will have plenty of time to get use to it."
"No.. "
"Your friend can no longer help you. You belong to me. Daerith isn't the one you need to fear now Princess."
His eyes lite up with anger as Aerith started to retort when another wave of pain came from her belly. Knees buckling she fell to the cold floor as Brax came over.
"You see.. it was I from the very start controlling the board." He smiled, stretching his face as the blood started to leak from the barley healed wounds. Aerith looked up with rage.
"I see it in your ...eyes.. you were a slave..."
Aerith stretched out a groan as she tried to back away.Mephitso stared back at him, yet unable to move from the pain.
"Yes.. that was true... you see I was a slave to him.. but in time I should he could trust me.. that was his mistake. I was there when he destroyed your world. Young though I was I learned from watching. it's amazing what one can do by learning on their own. At first I thought I had no potential...then it happened. I had learned and slowly I had pulled the strings to the true puppet." Brax laughed as the ship shook from a blast. He looked around feeling out that Daerith was still searching for them.
Aerith couldn't believe it.. yet he was showing his true self as he grabbed her arm and violently made her stood up. He noticed the pain in her face as she tried to hide it.
"I think your species does fit my new powers..."
Mephitso at that moment snarled and found strength as he fought his body, pushing back the pain.
"Let her go!.. Can't you see.. even if this scheme of yours does come through you won't make it off this ship. I can feel the presence of the Jedi.. they will see that you are caught.."
Brax turned his head and laughed.
"I think not. Have you even paid attention Daerith didn't even know of my powers. I think I can manage an escape. I already have a ship ready. Thanks to Daerith this makes things much easier. Unfortunately for you you will not see anything more..."
Aerith struggled in his grip as Brax gave an evil smile, raising his hand and using the unforeseen powers. He closed his fist just as when the Sith launched himself at Brax. He went down like a stone clawing at his throat.
"NO! Brax.. please.... Let him live.. I'll come willingly.. please.." Aerith begged. The human turned his eyes on her as Mephitso gagged and slammed his fists into the floor. Maybe if he made enough noise one of Daeriths people would come. Giving them the time to run again.
"Why should I? Regardless you are mine."
"Please.. I will come peacefully.. "
She trailed off. Maybe threw his dark powers he could sense it.. but Aerith knew that whoever these Jedi were they were coming on the ship. All she needed was enough time.....

Sho'ar hit another control button on the console. Lights flashed on the screen indicating targeting lock from behind. Rolling to the port-side the ship shook as it was grazed by a blast. Rolling the pitch Sho'ar pulled back on the stick and barrel-rolled to come up behind the mis-matched ship. A moment later there was a brilliant flash and the Jedi fighter blasted threw the fireball.
'I need to get on that ship!' She thought as shouts came threw the com.
"Flight-lead, point-zero-three-four..."
"There's too many.."
"Concentrate, pilots.." The Jedi called threw with a bitter-sweet voice as she jammed the stick forward to roll threw more fighters. Directly ahead lay her target and the pin-point of power.
'I don't sense a tracto-beam...'
The ship pushed on, taking in some damage as she moved in on the vessel. It seemed to easy. No guns, no other attacks, as if she was expected..
"Because I am.." She whispered, directing her eyes to her screen as the ship made contact. The hanger bay was practically abandoned on approach. No crews or personal of any kind. Landing the craft The Jedi stepped out and scanned the immediate area for any threats. What she felt was pain, anger and death. Sho'ar reached down and unclipped her lightsaber, the cool metal resting easily in her warm hands, eyes flickering across the room as she moved forward threw what was a chaotic arrange of repair and stubbornness.

Daerith ran a hand threw his graying hair as he hurried down to the command deck. News of yet another intruder threw the force warned him how much control he had lost. His anger boiled threw his veins as he approached an officer, death in his eyes. This was his ship, his battle and he was loosing control of the situation. Brax was a traitor and not only had he trusted the man he now had his escaped prisoners and a Jedi on board.
"Sir, we're ana-" The little man never finished his sentence as Daerith reached out with a blinding force and crushed the mans windpipes. A popping wet sound protruded from the officer before he crumpled to a heap on the floor. The whole room went quiet for but a moment before continuing on their tasks. There was no way they were going to approach him for the moment. The only reason he even came here was to assist the battle. Turning he cracked his neck, making small popping sounds.
"I suppose I'll have to deal with the Jedi first.."

CHAPTER 39
Kirruk moved his squad threw the cluttered streets. He noted a few bodies laying in strangled heaps of all ages. It disgusted him to see such pain. The death toll weighed on his heart as he felt each life snuffed out to join the force. Rubble moved from collapsing huts, tensing the soldiers as Kirruk reached out with the force...
"It's a trap!" He yelled igniting his blade as a stream of blaster bolts flew at them. Moving forward the Jedi snapped his wrists into a lock and blocked the attacks coming to the front. Screams from his men and attackers swarm around him as he heard bodies drop. The assailants were trained rather well as he force leapt up and over a pile of rubble. A blast charred threw his creamy robe as he landed. Kirruk knew he was outgunned and the force would claim him. Yet for the moment he fought with all his heart and training.
"There is no death.."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mataka slowed her heart-rate down as she leapt from her place on the wall and rolled over to another building. The purple blade out on the side as she pulled her hair out of her eyes. Splintering sounds of cracked stone filled her ears as buildings started to crumble from the impact of the weapons. Mataka breathed in heavily as she reached out to see where her Jedi brethren were at.
"No.. Kirruk.." She whispered, feeling him preparing himself for death as he fought. The Jedi shook with revelation as she twisted her hips to throw her weight into the side of a cart. The rotting food deflated and sent out a ray of smells as it's own weapon forcing her to move as she swung her purple blade to direct a bolt back into the enemy....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Standing, Vetkarth pointed his weapon close to the man draped in what looked like a black officers uniform. He did know that all the enemy seemed to wear similar items of display but he sensed that this man was a stronger leader. A republic soldier moved forward and hauled him to his feet, creating a small circle of a dust at their feet and sifting up into their faces. The man wore a pair of goggles and had a scare running down the side of his face. An almost unpleasant look on his face as she struggled against the soldier.
"It would be wise not to move. You are now under the arms of the Republic and a prisoner or war.." Stated the Soldier as Vetkarth lowered his blade and turned it off. There was not other threat in the area for the moment.
"Who do you work for?" He asked, stepping closer with a calm look on his face. The prisoner snarled.
"Someone higher then you!" He spat at the Jedi's feet. Vetkarth nodded to the soldier to take him back to the base camp and then moved forward a few more steps. A wind picked up, blowing dirt off buildings, and carrying the sounds of crew and fighting with it. The Jedi froze and looked out in the distance..
"Kirruk.." Wildly he looked to the men and gave them orders to secure the area and if he didn't return in fifteen minutes to carry on the mission. Without a word they went about their orders and Vetkarth clipped his weapon to his belt and ran off int he direction he needed to.

Brax looked down on Mephitso with a distaste in his mouth.Yet the pleading from the one he truly wanted caused him to think, but only for a moment. He raised his hand and whipped back another force push into Mephitso knocking him out cold. Aerith screamed and moved forward to attack him. Brax smiled and back-handed her to send her up against the wall.
"Never.. underestimate me.." He hissed, moving on her as she touched the wall. Brax clamped his hand over her mouth to prevent her from, making another foolish move. Mephitso was still alive, if barley. "You wouldn't want to harm your child now would you?" He snickered and pulled her to him as he forced her away from the wall and down the hall. Aerith had enough time to look back to see Mephitso was still breathing and alive, but for how long?
'Get up mephi.. I need you..' She thought as they turned a corner and he was gone from her site. Pain then swelled up in her body again, forcing Brax to half-carry her as her pangs gave way. The young women wanted to die at that moment. Had her Goddess lied and forfeited her? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moving threw the abandoned halls Sho'ar closed her eyes as if feeling the troubles that were to come. The force was with her, but there would be a time were it would take her down a different path. Moving silently, she reached out and felt the dwindling presence of Mephitso.
"Not yet.."
She whispered, taking a sharp right into a hall and was greeted with scattered Debris to what looked like was the medical center. Fluids dripped onto the floor, making small puddles as electrical equipment sparkled threateningly. Licking her lips Sho'ar ignited her green blade and force speed down the hall. Not far down she saw a body laying there, still alive and breathing. Quickly she slowed down and knelled, recognizing him as one she came to save. With a free hand she placed it on the side of his head and opened up raw channels to Wake him. 'By the Force..his power...' She thought with amazement. No wonder they were captured. This man here harnessed a great power and in the wrong hands...The Sith stirred and opened his eyes. Focusing he stiffened as his eyes moved to see the glowing blade. "Who?" He started in a gruff voice and started to stand. Sho'ar pushed him back down for a moment.
"You're hurt.. give it a few minutes..I am Sho'ar. Jedi to the Republic..." She smiled at him, not letting him know she felt of his power. Mephitso opened his eyes and took in a deep breath.
"Your what Daerith mentioned.. Aerith.. pl-ease.. help her..I'm Mephitso.." He started to ramble from shock. Sho'ar touched his shoulder and sent a calming wave as she locked into place the names she mentioned. Again he started to stand and this time she began to help him, holding her weapon in one hand and helping him in the other..
"Why isn't this touching.." A deep voice boomed down the hall. Both heads turned and Mephitso began to ramble off every curse word he could. Sho'ar leaned the man up on the wall.
"Where is Aeith?" She asked him quietly, keeping one eye on the man that had to be Daerith. He had managed to come to them unnoticed. She decided he was even more dangerous then originally thought.
"Hanger bay.." He whimpered, clutching his badly wounded arm. Sho'ar looked in the direction and then back at Daerith.
"Go there.. I'll deal with him.." She ordered the Sith. Mephitso didn't have to be told twice. Badly hurt as he was he began to move down the hall and then out of site.
"My aren't we a noble Jedi.." Daerith hissed with pleasure, moving closer toward Sho'ar. Every step forward a test.. a test of his power. Sho'ar smiled and raised her blade in front of her.
"What would you know of being noble?A dark evil that has to prove his power destroying worlds.." She snapped back, moving her feet into a back stance. Daerith smiled and stooped a few feet away.
"What makes you think that? For years my one goal has been to rule the known galaxy and destroy the one power that could stop me.." His eyes flashed at sho'ar. "The planet below was just a distraction my dear Jedi. A trap they all have fallen into.. and now once I finish you I will have the ultimate power.. and revenge"
The Jedi opened her eyes, trying to see if he was lying. What she felt was not a boastfulness, but the real truth. She had led her own comrades and brothers to their death. 'No.. I will not fall.. that's what he wishes. To cloud my judgment. I will not fail.. Even if the others fall I will not yeild...'
"No. You are wrong."
"We shall see Jedi.." Daerith snapped his arms up and let loose a jet of lightening. His face a brilliant mask of evil...

CHAPTER 40
"There is no emotion.." The young Jedi whispered under his breath as he found himself backed up against the wall of a building. Bodies lay littered everywhere as he pounded his boots into the sandy floor. Kirruk was one of only a couple men left as he looked up and pulled with the force a weak point in a building above where a small groups were firing from. His face a mask of deep concentration as he willed it to fall in a crumbling heap.
"GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!" One yelled over the screams as it fell. Too late for himself as his cries mingled in death throws. No time to think in anything else Kirruk moved from the wall to cut threw another black-clade attacker. The Republic soldier he saved didn't have to say a thank you as he shot off his weapon to hit between the eyes of another, only then to be shot from behind.
"ARRGH.." The scream ending in a gurgle as the Jedi force leapt up onto the small roof, forcing a few men to be killed by friendly fire. Kirruck swung a forty-five degree angle, blocking a series of blaster bolts and used his free hand to force push the attacker into the next building.
"This is not what I signed up for in the Academy.." Kirruck mumbled, trying to lighten his mood. Again he leapt off and landed behind a small group, ending their firing reign quickly as one would blow out a candle. A stray bolt clipped the Jedi in the leg, dropping him like a stone. His chin hit the ground, clattering his teeth together. Pain swam before his eyes as a group of twenty came out of various places, surrounding the boy.
"Lord Daerith will be pleased.." the nearest said, and quickly clipped Kirruk in the Jaw sprawling him out and loosing his hold oh his lightsaber. Another kicked the blade far from his reach.
"Yes. A nice reward.... No survivors..." Another kick, but this one to the knee, forcing him to scream out in pain.
"Not so strong now are you Jedi?" Laughter from the group rose as, Kirruk spat blood from his mouth.
"There is only peace..." He whispered, closing his eyes, as the same man who just kicked him came down in a swing with a jagged pike.... Pain never came, as a whoosh of air and yells came. Kirruk opened his eyes and looked up to see Vetkarth in all his glory standing over him. He must have shown his surprise for the older Jedi smiled and helped him up.
"There is only the Force.." Vetkarth replied with a grin and called the Jedi's saber over to him. "I think you'll need this.." He handed it back to him and ran head long into the enemy. Kirruck winced in pain as he put weight on his leg and then used the force to turn it off. There would be time later to tend to it. Yet something felt wrong as he rushed to join his comrade in battle. Something that wasn't there before...
"Master.." He started and then felt it the last moment as he pushed a group into their own sides oncoming fire. Vetkarth turned and opened his eyes wide as a group of three men had broken from the ain battle and had picked up rocket launchers. With a downward slash he turned and pushed Kirruk out of the way and shouted to him as he did.
"GO. SAVE THE OTHERS..go Kirruck.. It's my time.." He whispered the last and ran into the group. Kirruk fell and went to his feet as he watched the Jedi take out two of the threats. The third went off in a brilliant flash as if a bomb exploded, taking out not just the Jedi but the greater threat.
"VETKARTH!!!NO!..no.." He screamed in sorrow as the blast picked him up and rolled him a few feet. The pain filled him up as his friend became one with the force. He had given himself over to the force and now it was up to him to carry out his last wish. "I promise you Vetkarth..I promise.." He whispered and picking himself up, didn't look back as he went with haste to help who he could, lightsaber in his hand and with more urgency in his step.

CHAPTER 41
Sho'ar steped into the blast, angeling her blade to let the charge seem to absorb into her weapon. Only in stories had she heard of the possibilities of harnnasing such an evil power. Grittign her teeth the Jedi Master pushed foward and then danced to the side, taking a free hand to let loose a force push to knock Daerith off his feet.
"You will not win." She stated as he hit the back wall. A mechanical thud seemed to vibrate threw the walls as he stood with a deviant smile on his lips.
"Very well done Jedi..but the games are just starting." He laughed as he took his hand, behind his back and pulled out a lightsaber hilt. Solid black with a hit of red in the pommel. Her eyes flickered to his hand and back up. Daerith laughed again, catching the gesture. "You see I am not the only one who knows the way of the lightsaber..." With a slow calculated move he activated a switch and a brilliant red beam shot out to match her own blue blade. As if by fate Sho'ar felt a disturbance in the force. A bright light that had once flickered was snuffed out...
"Vetkarth...no..." She shook her hand in sorrow, controlling her emotions as Daeriths grey eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"You see now, your friends are lost. The rest will fall shortly.." He licked his lips and rushed in at her with a blinding speed. Sho'ar raised her green blade and blocked his cut.
"Never.." She hissed and pushed him up and back. Planting her feet with the right leg behind as she came foward calmly at a forty-five degree angle. Daerith met her cut and spun, pushing her to the side and then jabbed inward to her leg. Sho'ar moved her leg at the last possible second, feeling only but a burn as the blade graced her skin. Concentrating on the moment she stepped in, sliding her lightsaber up and pushed him back so they faced each other. In a blink on an eye the Jedi Master pushed foward and elbowed the man in the left eye, making him back off for a moment with a snarl.
"You will not defeat me.." He cried in rage, as his eye turned red were she poped a vein, rendering him partially blind.
"We'll let the force be the judge of that." With a blank face she stepped back and turned the corner. Mephitso was gone and hopefully he made it to the hanger. His appearence there would give her enough time to stall and reach them all.

Blood dripped off the side of the Sith's head as Mephitso hurried down another hall. So far noone had run into him and he was perfectly happy with that. There was enough going on to make him being here to make little diffrence. He could feel the fight behind him and hoped the Jedi would be alright.
"Of course she will be.. getting this far an un-hurt is unbelivable.." He whispered, staggering foward as he fell to his knees. The pain was to the breaking point but he could feel Aeriths was even greater. Snarling he forced himself back up and continued along the hall. Mephitso could smell her struggel and knew he was close. After all he was a Sith and he would live up to his name even if it killed himself.
The clanking sounds of machinery came to his ears as did the staggering of feet. With greater haste he hurried and stumbled again as he came to a door. The hangerbay was littered with parts and charred metal from either the fight out in space or other battles. HIs eyes franticly searched until he saw Aerith being handeled into a small Freighter unconcious for the moment. The Sith's blood boiled with anger as he saw her in such a state. A strenght he thought was gone lifted himself up as he yelled out to him. "LET HER GO." Brax was just abut on the ship when he heard a call of challenge out to him. Turning, his demeaning eyes opened in suprise. "My, My.. arn't we the stubborn one.." He laughed and walked back down the ramp. His hands empty for the moment, but Mephitso wasn't fooled. "You should have stayed there int he hall.. now I am afarid I shall have to tell Aerith the grave news of me killing you when she wakes.." He smiled for a moment more and then went pale unreadable.
"I doubt that. You will fall here, along with Daerith.." The Sith challenged him as he moved foward in his bloody rags.
"Come now.. I know of useless hopes and dreams. Yes Daerith will fall.. I am certian of it. As for myself.. you hope the Jedi will help." It wasn't a question as he noted Mephito's eyes open slightly. "It was I who let down the sheild to let them on.. and in only twenty minutes this whole ship will self-destruct and I shall win.."
