The icy air licked across the Young child forcing Mephistophele to hug his knees, trying to keep warm. The flames from the camp fire had long ago died. The rest of the refugees had blankets, whereas he only had his tattered robes and torn shoes.
As he sat there, cold and in sorrow, he remembered back just the year before when everything seemed warm and happy. He remembered his mother and father's laughter, and how he enjoyed his lessons at school.
A tear dripped from his dirty cheek. Nothing would be the same now. The over lords had wrecked their lives and overthrown their religion which ruled nearly all aspects of it. His mother and father had died valiantly to try and preserve that way of life. He was told to run through the hidden chambers and meet the duchess and her daughter in the back of the palace, that they would take him to the safety of the secret Fort Condor.
Then he remembered her...Aerith, the duchess's daughter. They had grown up together, visiting each other's countries, and meeting for banquets, festivals, and ceremonies of all sorts. They had always enjoyed playing together.
He began to sink to the ground now. He didn't know if he would ever see his friend again. Fort Condor had been found, and nearly everyone was killed or taken to spar to the death for amusement. The dark ones....how he hated them. They taught their ways, and then they deprived the people, enslaved them, and killed them.
Mephisto growled and pounded the ground with an icy fist. He couldn't feel it. But when he hit the ground, his skin broke, and the thin blood poured out and scorched a patch in the seemingly frosted red sand. Blood....all that came to his mind was death. He wouldn't even be surprised if that was what made the sand red.
"Tarin, Kazeku, Ikakumai, Yoma, Marda, Isis,.......Aerith, Mother....Father." He sniffled angrily, gripping the sand. Those were the names of his dearest friends and family members. Now they were all lost.
His anger burned inside him. It made him warmer, brought the feeling back to his body. In his mind he could hear whole towns of people screaming, swords clanking, explosions, fires. he could smell the blood, the smoke, and later, the decay.
All these things haunted him, making him boil, his power rise. He knew what the force was now. But he believed it to be a Gift from the gods still. it wasn't something to be taken for granted. Those dark ones didn't know half of their so called powers. His ways, the old ways, they were the true ways of the Sith.
He tried to comfort himself now, to calm himself. It would be foolish to feel hatred. That would give away the camp's whereabouts, and surely there were hunters searching for them. This life on the run couldn't go on forever. He and his camp mates where going to a place where they could steal a ship, but had stopped to camp in an underground cave.
"Oh great Goddess.....I seek thy guidance." Mephisto muttered in his native tongue. He had bent down to the ground in a worshiping form. He would now wait patiently to receive a reply or a sign.
Soon the young 8 year old sith had felt a tingling in his body. He welcomed it, knowing it was to get his attention, and he looked up and saw a vortex of dark colors. Lightning thundered in the background, illuminating a feminine outline.
She was the color of lightning, blue and white. Her her floated as if in water, and her eyes seemed sad. Yet, she raised her hand. It had the longest finger nails he had ever seen. The Goddess was the very essence of beauty.
"Mephistopheles.....do not cry my child. You have a gift." She spoke. Her voice echoed and was stern, yet gentle.
He was amazed, his eyes wide with wonder. He had never seen her before. It was said she only appeared in her true form before a chosen one, when a special task was to be given. Remembering his teachings, the young boy straightened himself and stopped crying, wiping his tears away, and tried to remain calm.
"What gift, oh Goddess?" He asked.
In the Goddess's hands appeared a golden chain with a ruby red stone on it. It burned of fire and steadily faded as it was made. Then, she lowered her hand, the treasure floating just above it, and she guided it to him and he took it from the air and held it, looking it over for a bit. On the back then, appeared an inscription written in the ancient language. It read:
Keep it close to you, it will heal your heart. Forever, until the last. ~from your Mother and Father
Mephisto felt like crying again, but he knew he shouldn't cry too much. Instead, he slipped it over his head and placed it around his neck. The stone lay against the center of his chest.
"Thank you, Goddess...but what do I do with it?" He asked. As he fell silent, he saw the stone glow and immediately he was warmed and felt lively.
The Goddess smiled slightly and told her child sweetly, "It does what your mother and father said it does. They asked if I could give it to you. They love you, sweet child. Just remember they are still with you, even though you can't see them. They are always there. You will learn that someday."
Mephisto just looked up at her, puzzled, but he was grateful. He bowed his head down again and asked her, "What must I do now?"
The goddess half smiled...and another tear ran down her crystal face, shattering like lightning. The clouds began to fade, as well as her picture.
The fate of the galaxy rests upon your shoulders. You must tell your group to let you pilot the ship you will find. You will know where to go. If you do not do this, I will die. There will be no more magic.
Mephisto stood again in awe, and felt pain as she left. He somehow knew he would never see her like that again. But it was enough. Now he had a real reason to keep living. He had to do what she said, even though he didn't really understand.
"I can save us...." He whispered. He pictured Aerith in his mind.
That same night young Aerith stood in the cooling sands on the planet Korriban wishing she was elsewhere. behind her was a large cave where she and a few other were staying. Off in the distance there were search parties looking for them to bring them back to the concentration camp.. the death camp as she learned what it was.
Only a few hours ago did she and a few others manage to escape the smell of decaying and burnt bodies of her people. her own parents among the dead now. Stifling a choking sob she turned and walked back to the coolness of the cave. There were six others that managed to flee. How they did was beyond her seven year old mind.
A wind was picking up and forced the young girl to shield her golden eyes with her hand. Long mated black hair flowed behind her. A few horns that had just began to grow threw her head were visible as hot flakes of sand stung her face. Areith was wearing a sand colored outfit. Just the same as the rest of the group. Life was miserable as she breathed heavily. A few heads turned to regard her as she entered and then looked away. They had very little food and water and soon they would be forced to move in the hot sands to find nourishment. They had escaped but death came in many forms out here. if not from the camp then from the harsh climate would.
"Maybe that's why escaping was really easy." She whispered as she curled up by the wall. Hugging her knees Areith closed her eyes and listened to the few whisperers and the rush of the wind.
"Mephisto.."
The young girl missed her friend. They had been friends for as long as she could remember. He was her protector and only friend. Though it never started out that way......
The day had been hot.. to hot for normal activities. School had been canceled and her parents had sent her to go into the royal gardens and Fields to play. There were many children there, laughing and running around.
Areith was dressed in her play clothes for the day. Brown boots and a red and black tunic and pants outfit. She was told she was an adorable girl for a four year old and was hoped to take after her mother who was very gifted in her power. In fact, that's why she was here. Her mother and father were aiding to the King and Queen. In fact the King and Queen had a son yet Aerith had yet to see him. she had been living in the palace now for over six weeks and Aerith hated it.
Oh yes the food and the living was beyond her. yet what she longed for was a friend. None seemed to like her. The other children were polite to her yet they thought her too small for her age and quit strange.
A few shouts brought the young girl back to reality as she noticed a few young boys encircling someone. Areith walked forward on the cool pavement closer. There were other children who avoided the group for a good reason. They were older at least 10 years old and were bullies. She passed the large water fountain that was deep enough to swim in... which some were doing to keep cool.
"Not so strong now are we?" Maced one boy. There was a shuffling of feet as the boy dressed in solid blue shouted with an evil glee. his name was A'ter from what Areith knew. The small Circe broke and she noticed a smaller boy near her own age on the ground with a bloody nose. He was dressed in play clothes too, all black with a gold stripping down the pant legs that ended where his black boots started. She hadn't recognized him. Was he knew?
"Just a petty Lotte baby without mommy or daddy." Another boy said as A'ter leaned in and kicked him in the legs. The younger boy winced but made no move. Areith didn't like that.
"STOP THAT!" She shouted and then stooped as she realized what she was doing. Well she wasn't afraid of a bully and someone needed to help him for all the adults where indoors handling affairs.
A'ter and the other two boys turned. Their crown of horns seemed to catch the suns rays and make them seem more mean to her golden eyes.
"Well what have we here? A small undersized rat." A'ter said as he steeped forward quickly. He knew who she was but with no adults around he was a mean bully and none believed that A'ter would ever harm a younger child.
"I am not a rat and your nothing but a stupid bully.. Leave that boy alone or you'll be sorry."
Laughter filled the hot air as A'ter came forward and slapped her across the face leaving a bright red make on her red skin. Yet Aerith didn't falter or cry.She stood her ground staring past him to the boy who shifted to his knees. He looked up at her with his yellow green eyes as if saying thank you.
"I see your a stung brat.. what could you possible do that would make me be sorry?" A'ter said in a mocking voice. A few other children now were watching the scene unfold as the girl suddenly moved forward with lighting fast moves and struck A'ter in various nerve pressure points in his legs making him collapse in pain.
"ARRRG.." A'ter screamed and fell on the cement scrimping his beautiful carved face. His friends were so shocked that a 4 year old could do that that they quickly stammered an apology and carried their friend away. For a few hours A'ter would be in pain and wound' be able to walk. If he was lucky he won't be seen till he was walking again.
"Are you OK?" Aerith asked the boy as she stepped up to him and held out her hand. He looked at her.. stunned for a moment and then took her hand. His gaze never leaving her.
"Th-thanks" he said in a tenor voice. Aerith thought his voice at that moment was blessed from Their goddess herself.
"I'm Aerith."
"I..know.. I am Mephitso..." He said shyly.
Her eyes opened wide slightly as she suddenly knew he was the prince. Yet as a child she didn't know all the right curators and just smiled back.
"I am sorry I haven't seen you before. Mother and father don't like it when I am around lower status people but your to be a duchess and I had to meet you."
It all was clear now. he had snick past his keeper to come out and was fouled by the older boys.
"it' OK." She said and smiled again. With the scone over the other kids went back to their games.
"So will he be able to walk again?"
"Oh he'll be hating life for a bit. But it would be funny to see an adult asking him why he was hurt."
At that moment both their eyes met and Areith saw that Mepthitso's eyes held a deeper wisdom. Then they both laughed.
"Well shall we go up to the playroom before I am found about here? None will dare question you there as your to be a duchess ."
Aerith was thrilled and instantly said yes as he lead her back threw secret passageways.She didn't;'t ask how he knew they were there as he grabbed her hand and lead her to fun filled days ahead...
A loud bang broke Aerith from her past. She opened her eyes and saw that a storm had rolled n from the east. She sighed and stared out as the others slept or talked in hushed voices. So long ago where those days of free play. How many adventures they had had and oh was it shocking that first day when both sets of parents found them together. yet from then on they were never parted for very long and even begun to take classes together. One wasn't without the other and in the end it seemed to please both parents as they looked out for each other. And the bully A'tar had left them alone from that day on...
"Or mephitso I hope your alright... I hope to see you again.." She whispered before closing her eyes and falling into a deep sleep.

CHAPTER 2
~~~~
Shouts of fear wok young Aerith from black dreams. Her golden eyes shot open to see blaster shots. They were found.
"Youngling.. this way."
A female voice shouted from the darkness of the cave. Aerith hesitated for a split second to see another survivor shot and fall with his chest still smoking from the hole in his chest.
"Theres another one!!! GET HER!"
Came a voice.. it promised full of pain and that broke her from her state as she tenured and ran into the darkness.
Warm hands grabbed her and the voice told her to just keep up. Their eyes adjusted quickly to the darkness as lights were flashing behind them. The tunnel opened and slanted wide opening to locks of many tunnels.As if the women could read her thoughts she whispered harshly.
"Theres a way out.. go this way while I lead them off.. dint hesitate.. go.." And she let go her hand and pushed her to wards the second tunnel.
CHAPTER 3
Dawn was approaching. They had to make haste. In day light, they were sure to be discovered. Mephisto however, did feel a little safer that he had his guardians to protect him as they traveeled across the sands to a small port where the traders came to bring the Dark Lords their supplies which was greedily not shared with his people. This again made him mad, but soon they would be getting some, by stealing that ship. The Sith Prince grinned darkly at the thought of pay back.
"Just over that ridge, my young lord, and we will safely be away from here!" Told Saurin. They ran up a sandy hill and looked down at a space port. However, at posts around the area were watchers, looking for the escaped slaves.
"Oh great." Mephisto muttered. He clutched the amulet around around his neck, in comfort. They came down the hill and stayed as low to the ground as they could.
When they had creapt up to the wall of an outlying building, several guards marched by. The Knights had put cowls up to hide their faces, and Balthazar had given a small cloak to the boy.
"Put it on, my Prince and say concielio" He told him.
Mephisto did as he was told and whispered the magic word. He felt a tingling, and then, he was told he was not visible. This was to keep him as safe as they could in a place like this.
Then Saurin made a diversion, by making objects crash several meters off in the opposite direction, allowing the three sith to get into the port, and they walked casually, dimming their presence of mind from the watchers as they made their way to the docks.
~~~
The sun was creeping up behind her as she reachd the main gate to the city. Her pack was slung over her shoulders and she covered her face in case she was recongised as one of the Sith.
Small shops were already open with food stores of fruit and other various products. Although the quality wasnt very good Aerith knew good fruit was in the pile. She walked to the nearest stall were pallias wre sold. Small peach like fruit that gave off a sweet smell. The stall keeper who was a very grumpy old man eyed her as she approached.
"nothing funy now y'here?" He said in a gruff voice as shis cold stare drove at her. Aerith nodded and pulld a credit from her sleeve, careful not to let the man see how much she had. The coin was cool in her palm as she tossed it over and grabbed four of the fruit puting them into her bag. The man nodded and Areith walked away and blended into the crowd. So long as she stayed out of trouble there wouldn't be a need to run and hide. Or use the blaster on her hip.
Mephi
She thought silently as the crowd thickened. Aerith thought about her frined with a sad hope. The fruit reminded herself of him. These were their favorite treat and he wasn't here to share wth her. Shaking her head she lowered her gaze and made her way towards the small spaceport. That would be her only way off planet.
her feet began to hurt after a few more minutes. yet she couldn't stop. Her breathing became harsh as she felt something was wrong.
'Stay calm' She thought as she bt her lip. and then all a sudden she felt a rush come behind her as a huminoid being ran past her and shoved her into a passing man..
"OW'" Aerith cried as slide across ground and rolled to her side. The black hood of her tunic came off revealing her face. Luckly her head was tunred away and only her black main of hair was visible. Dust setteled as the man cursed.
"Watch were your going. Do you even know who I am?!" And recongised the voice as one of the men from the caves! Trying not to panick she thought quickly and replied in a quiet voice.
"No sir.. beg your pardon."
But it wasn't enough for him as a hard hand landed on her shoulder, lifted her and spun her around where her true nature was visible. "I am going to-" He trailed off as he realised who she was.. and that hesatation was all she needed as she sliped out of rht thin robe, grabbing her ack and took off down the street , making a turn down an allyway. Then the alarms sounded.
'Oh gods.. now what?'

Mephisto began to panic again. A loud alarm was sounded to alert the watchers that the escpaed sith were spotted in the area. But how could they have known about them? No one could see him, and the knights were well hidden by their magic.
One thought came to his head instinctivly as he smelled a waft of pallia, now rushing for a door a few feet off, labeled 98456.
Aerith...
But he shook his head and kept on going, although he was hoping she hadn't died.
Four searchers ran by, radios statically communicating to them telling them the location of the one they were looking for. Mephisto listened and had followed the searchers for just enough to hear them talking.
"They've found her! That rich little brat that got away!"
Mephisto was stunned. He stopped walking and stood still, until someone running ran into him and knocked him down, wondering what they had tripped over that wasn't seen. ~~~ Fear rushed threw her as the young girl ran. Her jet black hair wipped behind her as her few horns shown very clearly now. A trail of dust was left h=in her wak as she heard shouts comming from behind. The painted bricks of the buildings besides her screend past as she pushed threw the crowded streets. One advantage of her being small was moving threw small holes in the crowds. But it couldn't go on forever. Most the city would be just as glade to unertake the child for a reward that was on her people.
Angry shouts filled her hearing as she shoved threw. It took of her projectial hearing and confused her. How could she hear where her enemies were comming from?
Aerith came to a small holding and looked around frantically. She was cornered and there was nowhere left to run. Her breathing became heavy as the morning became brighter and the heat more intense. Her golden eyes looked up at a nearby door which had the letters 98456. instenctivly she tried the door and it opened leading her into a private hanger bay!
Her movments were haughty as she stumbblend over a pallet filled with supplies and knocked over empty yellow plastic barrels. She froze hoping there were no guards in the hanger. The ship she saw was more like a freighter. Yet the girl knew nothing about ships and their like. All she felt was an desperit urge to get on that ship.
'I have to get on there and hide..something tells me I have to'
She thought as she scrambled to her feet and half limped/ran over to the open ramp. Sand and blood from her scraped knee fell on the cold steel and she hoped noone would notice. Once inside Aerith found a small hole where large packed boxes of goods were filled. She made her choice and squeesed in careful no to trail anymore blood in. Shovinfg her pack in Aerith crawled inside and hide as far back in the darkness as she could. ~~~~
“Ouch! Get off me!” Mephisto yelled in a fit. An adult was crumpling him to the ground, having tripped over him during the ruckus. Looking up as the man was getting off of him, he could see the sinister look on his face.
‘Oh no!’ The boy thought, ‘He can see me!’
The hood from his cloak had fallen off during the fall, revealing his horned head, red skin, and bright green eyes. The man grabbed him by the neck and ripped the cloak off of him and held him in the air, nearly strangeling him.
“Hey! I caught another one!” The man yelled to the seekers, and once again, the Dark Lord’s henchmen were coming back to get him.
Mephisto struggeled, kicking and flailing as the man laughed, and then threw him over to one of the seekers that took and bound him in an electro collar.
“I’m not falling for that again!” The man laughed.
Another one said, “The boss’ll reward us big time for this! I’ll be surprised if he lets the mangey cure keep his head!”
“Yah!” The other one said, “He should mount it on the wall, nice rack of horns there!”
“LET GO OF ME!” Mephisto demanded, as he was being placed in a cloth sack. But just then, the other one brought out a remote and pushed the button, zapping the child full of electricity, and was then tossed in and the bag tied shut.
His captors began to run off, carrying him along, heading to a skycar. However, they stopped abruptly and threw him to the ground beside them. Mephisto, a bit weakened, couldn’t see out of the bag, and the air was stifling and it was becoming hard to breath. He tried to take the collar off, but it had no clasp and it was hard. He couldn’t even pull it off. But coming closer to the men, he could hear his protectors brilliant swords come to life, then another pair. A battle had begun.
Then he was kicked farther away as a desperate attempt by his enemies. He heard a screech and something fall to the ground, then another groan and something fall heavy into the sand. Someone just got killed!
Mephisto began to claw at the cloth of the sack to try and break free, then he tried the top of the bag. But just then, he was scooped up, and was taken back in the other direction. And then there was a bright flash of light as a lightsaber ripped through the sack, being careful not to cut the precious contents, and he popped his head out and saw Sir Saurin running toward the docking bay. Behind him, the two goons were following. One had a hand cut off and was dissarmed.
A sense of turmoil flushed over him and he looked back father to where he had been on the ground in the sack. Balthazar lay there lifeless. He quickly turned away from that. He had seen enough death for a lifetime.
Saurin, only cut a little, ran quickly through the door and closed it, as it slamed down hard behind them. He looked back again. The pursuer was now melting a hole in the door! The sith child looked down at the ground then, smelling blood. He saw a small trail of it run through the sand, small hand prints on a few yellow barrels, and coming clanking up the ramp of the ship, and into it, blood there also. Someone was in the ship!
“Master Saurin! Someone’s in here!” Mephisto cried out. He was trying to catch his breath, to calm his heartbeat. Who was it? Another assailant of some sort? Someone trying to hide from the terror in the bazaar? Or was it...could it possibly be another one like him?
Saurin set the bag down and Mephisto crawled out. They were in the control area of a rundown looking freighter ship. Coming up to stand, he remembered what the goddess had told him, and right outside the ship was the enemy knight! They had to go now, enemy onboard or not, there would be no escape for him anyway.
The child ran up and jumped into the pilots seat. He ran his eyes over the many buttoms and switches on the dash, walls and ceiling near him, wondering which ones to push. He didn’t have time. He just pushed some.
Suddenly the overhead door above the ship opened. Mephisto heard the engines come to life. He grabbed hold of a joystick and pushed a button. It shot out plasma bolts!
“Cool!” He said excitedly, and he looked at the dark knight and shot at him while the ship began to take off., and then blasted off into the horrizon and up into the atmosphere, at ever hightening speed.
“What are you doing, Mephisto!” Saurin yelled, hanging onto a bar on the side. “Do you know where we’re going?”
Mephisto was astounded. He replied back, “I dunno. But it’s working!”
As soon as the ship was stabilized and they had sped into space, Mephisto whirled his chair around, smiling. He jumped out of the seat, and went up to Saurin.
Saurin shook his head, but was holding back a laugh. He said, “I guess so...now let’s go see who else is onboard, shall we? Just stay behind me.”
Mephisto nodded as he followed Saurin into the back of the ship. Small drops of blood were leading back to the cargo hold. They went in cautiously, yet Mephisto didn’t seem to be too scared anymore, but more curious.
They went behind some boxes, and came to the very back of the room where some barrels were stacked. Behind those, they could hear quivering snivels of a little girl, and Saurin let go the hilt of his lightsaber, half smiling, and moved some of the barrels, revealing a small sith girl who sat in torn, sandy and soiled clothing.
“AERITH!” Mephisto yelled. He ran up and took her hand, bringing her to her feet and hugged her warmly. Smiling with happiness for the first time in nearly a whole year. Tears came down from his eyes.
~~~
Blaster fires and the pounding of feet made Aerith hold in her breath. Did someone know she was here? She heard a small baritone voice. yet in the muffled sounds of fightng she couldn't tell who it was. All she could do was sit there and pray to the Goddess for help and protection.
Please let me live
She thought as she felt the ship shudder and began to lift. Aerith pulled her knees as close to her body as she could, hoping that the smaller she was that noone would see her if thy even looked in the cargo. The rumbeling of the engines thundered in her head as the ship lerched one more time and then steadied. They were now airborn! Yet that just rose her fear even more. There was no place to run if she was caught here.
After a few moments Areith thought she was going to be alright.. until she heard the tapping of a pair of feet and then another. They came closer and then stopped. Aeriths golden eyes were frozen with fear, and then the boxes began to move... she put her haed between her knees waiting for whoever was going to discover her....
"AERITH!!"
A small childs voice rang. She knew who that was! Aerith barley lifted her head when her best friend swarmed in taking her cold hand and pulled her up into a hug.Her eyes darted to the other male there who only nodded.
"Mephi?.. Is it really you?"
"Yes! Yes it's me! Oh Aerith I thought you were gone forever!" Mephisto cried. He was still hugging her.
Saurin was glad that the duchess's daughter was here as well. But, he had felt something and went back up to the control room.
"I've missed you so much!" He said to her. He was so happy. Aerith looked back and smiled at her friend. It had been a long time sense they had seen each other. Yet she could see the sadness behind his eyes. It was more of a feeling then words as he let go of her hand.
"I've missed you too.. I thought you were killed with the others... mother and father..."
She trialed off as she followed him. As she observed him walking she noticed as she said those words that he brought a hand to clasp something hainging at his kneck.
"Oh...this thing?" Mephisto asked her, as he noticed she wondered what that thing was around his neck.
"The Goddess gave me this necklace. She said my mother and father sent it to me to keep me well." He told her. He took a seat at a booth around a table, and wanted her to sit next to him. He noticed she put a bag down next to her. He also noticed the new clothes she had, and the gun on her hip.
"A gun? Do you even know how to use that? What did you do, Aerith? Have you been mugging people?" He nearly laughed.
But then he also was reminded he had a collar around his neck to. One he couldn't get off. He pulled at it again, but it wouldn't budge.
Just then, Saurin took something from his pouch. It was the remote that controlled the collar. He held it in the air, and pointed it at the prince's neck, and pushed a button. The collar then expanded, and Mephisto took it off and threw it away.
"Ha. I got that off of one of them. It would be a shame for you to have to wear that." The man told them. He was now sitting at the pilot seat.
"Thank you, sir." Mephisto just said politely.
Her eyes widened in shock as he said that. As she slide into the booth with her bag she said.
"You were visitied by the Goddess too?"
She slung the bag onto the table and pulled out one of the 5 pallia fruits and split it in alf giving her friend the larger of the two fruits.
"The goddess gave these to me" She said as he chidded her. And then something else hit her.The goddess told her that she would have to find the one to help on this mission. Could it truley be?
"Mmmm! My favorite! I'm famished!" Mephisto told her. He hungrily took the sweet fruit and bit into it. He hadn't eaten anything good at all in forever, and certainly not in the portions he remembered. He remembered way back when when all three daily meals were large and sometimes presented to him all alone and he could pick what he wanted and eat as much as he liked. The maids would always be happy to watch him eat. Especially when he so graciously offered them to eat breakfast with him.
"Yes. The Goddes came to you?" He asked, eating the remainder of the fruit, and rubbed his little belly in delight. Licking her sticky hands of the fruit Aerith nodded. It was good to be with her friend again.
"That's what I said Mephi. She came to me out in the dessert after...after..."
She trailed off and shook her head. The memorie of that women who died to protect her would always haunt her dreams...
"Well she came and spoke to me saying that it was too soon for me to go to the blessed hevens.. Even though I wanted to be with mother and father."
Aerith looked down on the table and ran her hand threw her matted hair.
"But.. she also called me her prestiess. and Im not one.. I don't know what to think. And then she gave me these gifts and told me to go East.. and thats when I came into ttown.Everythign was fine until I was ran over and my identiy revealed."
The young prince scratched his dirty head.
"Yah. The same thing happened to me. She told me I had to pilot this ship and we'd go to the second planet. Whatever that means. I'm sure though, that whatever it is, it has to be good." He said, and he slumped back in the chair and yawned.
"Priestess? Hmmmm....maybe she's impressed by your skills. Someone has to be the new priestess since....since Lady Nephthys is gone. But I wonder who the priest will be." He told her. His blood shot eyes were very tired, and he was fighting to stay awake.
"I got ran over too. Then I got thrown in a bag, and I was zapped by that collar over there. But then Mr. Saurin saved me...but Sir Balthazar was k...killed." He stuttered. It was still hard to bear all the death. He knew she had just as much to bear. He looked up into her golden eyes and smiled.
"Atleast you're not gone." He told her sweetly.
Aerith looked up blinking her eyes and stared at him as their pilot paid them no mind. A hundred questions wentthrew her mind and yet she couldn't ask anyone.
"Youve been threw alot too. And I am glade your here too.But are we the only ones left? Us three?"
Aerith hated to think of the answer to that. So many of their people were killed on their home planet and many more in camps set across the galaxey. As she listened she only could smile slightly. So much has changed with him. From the small quiet boy she knew being bullied to protecting her when needed. How many times sis he save her skin from the wrath of her parents and his from sneaking around causing small pranks? All that was in the past now. Just memories.
"Me? A prestiess? I dont want to be one."
It weas true. Secretly Aerith use to go off to the guards training center back home and would learn the skills past what she was taught by her warriors. Aerith dreamed of being a general. Leading the troops in battle.
Mephisto dropped his head, looking at the cracks in the table obviously made by knives. His eyes stang in their redness and began watering again with acidic tears as he thought of what she had said.
‘It would be nice for her to be a general. She would be the general, and I would fight with her as a warrior king, defending the land from invaders. But, there is no more land to protect. There is no kingdom. Our home, our lives are destroyed, and now we travel off into space. Our only guidance is from our loving Goddess.’ He thought.
He picked his head up and looked at her. His eyes were so red they looked like they could bleed. Her....she was always his little playmate and companion. He was glad she was here now. If she wasn’t he knew he would fall deep into the abyss and never return. His face quivering, fought to smile politely and mannerly as he was taught in his personal studies. It was a smile of hurt, but of gratefulness.
“Y...Yes, Aerith. I..I think I can feel it. It hurts....HOW COULD I NOT FEEL IT?” He ended in anger. He slammed a fist into the table, knicking it. Then he cried some more and he shook his head, calming himself, seeing her fear. “I know about our people Aerith.....they are all gone now. All except for you, for I, and my last faithful guardian, Saurin. I...I’m sorry for yelling at you. You..you’re my only friend...my only true friend. It’ll always be that way. It...it always has.” He finished, looking down at the table again, and nodded to himself, then straightened and wiped his stinging eyes and looked into her sparkling 24K gold ones that shimmered wet.
Just then there was an explosion outside. The ship shook and alarms began to sound. Mephisto saw Aerith falling, and he ran to catch her fall. Plasma guns were heard outside. After picking Aerith up, the young prince ran to the front of the ship and came to the side of Saurin who was increasing the speed of the ship, and racing to get out of range of several assalt ships on the radar, moving out of the way as much as he could to avoid being hit.
“Master Saurin! Jump to lightspeed!” Mephisto yelled. And with that, his guardian flipped the switch and then there was an extreme increase of speed as the stars in the galaxy appeared as lines of white light. Then some minutes later things were back to normal. They were now in an area that they had never been to before. Far beyong the Korriban system.
But that wasn’t the last of the attack! The assailant ships had followed them into hyperspace and were still pursuing them! Saurin tried to manuever the ship out of range, but as he did, a stealth fighter came straight at him and blasted the ship. Sheilds were down and damage was making the ship loose altitude and speed.
“My prince and duchess! You must escape! Go now to the escape pods!” Saurin had yelled to the two children.
Panicking in his breath again, Mephisto ran to Aerith, grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder, took her arm and ran her to the escape pods. However, when they got there, there was only one pod!
“AERITH! GO!” Mephisto shouted above the noise. He pushed the button to open the door and put her in. He could see the terror in her eyes. There was a huge explosion and fire rushed toward them. Saurin, along with the front of the ship was evaporated. He closed the door and punched the release button, but it was too late!
“NOOOOO!!!!!” He yelled, the word echoed, and all became black as death....
CHAPTER 4
Aerith scremed as the ship began to explode. She was just getting use to having a time to be herself.. a child.. and now her world was exploding...literly. mephi had just barley managed to slam the door when she felt the fall and then assed out as her head slammed against the the siding her last thought screamed out for her friend who was still inside the burnign ship.....
'MEPHI"
The escape pod with it's two victims was on a set corse to the nearest planet and civilazation. The destination was a small planet called Iridona. It was a desert planet wit only one small part having an ocean. The ocean itself kept from running dry by the inhabbatints. The species itse'f were zabrak. Similar to that of the children.
The pod shot threw the clouds and hot atmosphere towards the outskirs of a smaller villiage near the large city. All acivity stopped as heads turned to gaze at the fireball as it then slowed and landed only a few miles from the town.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The pod's emergancy hatched opened revealing the small child as a few Zabrk warriors edged close. Seeing the child inside out cold they scrambled to lift her out and hand her off to a women nearby.
"Who is she?"
One asked. There was no answer but they knew she wasn't of the clan. yet she looked like one of them. Aerith stired and growned in one of the womens arms as they rushed her back towards the city. She opened her eyes revealing her golden hue and nodded off again after whispereing her friends name.
"Mephi."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"AHHHHH!!!!" Mephisto was screaming. Hadn't he just died? Where was everyone? Where was Aerith? Then he heard the distinct voice of his friend yelling his name. He struggeled against the darkness and forced himself back up towards the light of life.
"AGHH!!!" He spat. He landed hard in a clod of sand, headfirst and got a mouth full. He fought his body, straining to open his eyes and come to bearings, wallowing in the hot sand.
"Hey!!" An unfamiliar child yelled at him from above. Soon he was picked up from behind the collar. Mephisto shook his head and finally opened his hurting, blood shot green eyes. He felt even more delerious.
"Wow....I created a time warp!" He said, and he shook his head again, but the image wouldn't go away. He was thrown to his feet, and Mephisto stood, wabbly, and gained his balance. He looked around. He was in a desert marketplace. People with horns were walking about. Most of the adults had facial tattoos.
"Huh?" Mephisto asked himself. He looked back at the boy who found him. He himself had orangish red skin and several horns growing on his head, and wore sand colored clothing. Whoever he was, he looked at Mephisto as if he were weird.
"Oh. I forgot. Heh heh. My name's Mephistopheles....Prince to you....Umm...which way is my father's palace?" He asked.
The boy looked even more puzzled, and replied. "What's a palace and what's a prince?"
Another kid, a little girl about six years old was standing behind him, chewing on something. "Your name is weird. And you got funny horns. But I like your eyes! They're prettyful!"
~~~~~~~~~~
"Hush childling.." A strong but gentle voice said. Aerith only took a deep breath and faded away. Now the adults on the other hand didn;t know what to say.
"Who is this Mephi?" One of the male warriors asked as they entered the temple of the one goddess. He was answered by a sharp hiss and hurried away. No more then to probably spread the word of a child fallen from the stars.
The female zabrak that held the child was in fact the prestiess of the planet. Her lovley red skin and yellow eyes looked over the young girl.
'She is so much like us but diffrent'
Was the thought as she took the child down a long corridor to her chamers. Yes she was. The horns were diffrent. Slightly longer and a bit more curved. Word hadn't reached the zabrak of Aerith's people. Many species fell and none cared threw the galaxey. The room seemed to be draped in golden silk and fine black marble floors. There was a fine white rug in fronnt of a large open fireplace. The bed was laden brown smooth wood. carved with eccentric designs it represented majastic nobility and power of the one goddess.
Laying the child down the women nelt and said a prayer for her to wak. After a few momwnets a bright light appeared and time seemed to stand still. A majastic voice rang out.
My child.Here before you is one gifted to craft my will. Raise her and keep her safe. For one day the blood of the ancients will rise again threw her and another
Then the light faded before the prestiess could say a word.
"Another?" She whispered as Aerith began to stir on the bed sheets. 'Ancients. now that I have heard of.. and this.. girl.. something special she must truly be to arrive here..'
She thought no farther as she knew it was the goddesses will. High prestiess Lakatta will raise this child and protect her as if her own.
"who are you?" The small voice asked. Lakatta blinked her yellow eyes to find the golden ones of the child lookeing back up at her. Eyes that had lost their sparkle. The eyes of one that had seen and been threw hell and lived. 'No child needs that. I shall have to bring that spark back to life. Her spirit may be bent, but it is not broken.'
"I am Lakatta. High prestiess here of the zabrak. You are a long way from home little one. What is your name?" Lakatta spoke as her mind took in more information of the youngster and how she would answer.
" I am Aerith.. I am a duchess.. well was going to be before.." She trailed off as a her tears began to flow.
'I have lost everything.. and now a strange women who looks like my people but isn't is thinking I am an idiot..Oh Mephi why did you have to leave me.. my friend'
Aerith began to sob and shake. Lakatta felt the younglings pain and knew that something terriable had happened. She sat down and took the sobbing girl to her shoulders cooing to her saying it was alright to cry.
'I shall have to find out what happened.'
Aerith cried and thought the tears would never end. Just when things had gotten better she was misplaced again.
'Goddess you lied to me. You said everything would be ok.. and I lost my best friend..' Her thoughts were of anger and sadness as she thought back to when she started calling her friend Mephi....
"Mephi!!!" Aerith rang out happily to her friend as she entered the play room. Mephistophel looked up and grinned from where he was stacking a pile of books.
"why are you calling me Mephi?" He asked as he picked up a pillow near his foot and flug it at her. Aerith dodged easily as she knew he had that pillow there waiting for her.
"I think it's cute and it's easier to say then your long name.!" Aerith grinned and ran up to her friend tackeling him to the ground. Mephi laughed and rolled her to her back, his green eyes sparkeling with playfullness.
"You know.. I think iit will suit me.. But your the only one allowed to call me that." He smiled again and got up thelping her up as he did.
"I knew you'd agree." Aerith said while patting him on the head, avoiding his newly protruding horns.
"Gah. I hate it when you do that.. Now knock it off. Let's go threw the passageways to the kitchens.. I'm starving!" He said happily while grabbing her hand leading her off for more fun and games...
The memory closed off as Aerith cried herself back asleep in Lakatta's arms. Her dark hair was matteed and gresy as she llayed the child back against the pillows.
"My child.. whatever you are.. your full of more potential and power then I thought." Standing she looked back down and closed her eyes.
'Goddess.. what have you brought us?'.......

Mephisto couldn't believe what he had heard. His body ached still from days of trudging on. But he walked around frantically in the street, while the other children just looked at him. Then he finally looked back at them.
"Where am I? Who are you? What are you?" Mephisto asked them. They could have asked him a few of the same questions. But just then, a large, hard hand was placed on his shoulder. He looked around to see a man who looked at him questionably, then at his son and daughter.
"Are you lost kid? Where's your parents?" The man asked. He was looking the boy over. 'How strange..' He thought. Then he looked over at his children that shrugged their shoulders.
"Yes...I am lost and I...." He broke off, tears came from his glazed and bleeding eyes. "My parents....they're gone now....." He replied.
The man looked concerned and replied, holding Mephisto's cold little arm and leading him away, "Well kid...why don't I take you to my place? I'll get you some food and new clothes. But you'll have to work if you want to sleep over."
Mephisto kept his head low to the ground. If he still had the status he had before, he wouldn't need any of this. But as he did, he accepted, and nodded as he let himself be led away, the other two children following their father and the strange child to their little dwelling on the outskirts of town. "Thank you, kind sir." He said mannerly.
Soon, they came to an adobe dwelling and the man knocked on the wooden door. When it opened, there was a woman standing there, obviously the man's wife. She looked down at the child questionably and then asked her husband, "Kerchek, why are you bringing a beggar child home? Do you know that they act helpless al the time just to get pampered and then run home to their ratty families?"
Just then the other two litle kids ran by and up to their mom. the little girl said, "His name's Mephisto, and he has prety green eyes! I've never seen such ever!" She sounded excited and tugged at her mother's dress.
The little boy scowled at his sister, but he told his mother also, "He said he's a prince and he comes from a palace. Whatever that means. I think he's looney!"
The mother took a hand to Mephisto's chin and raised it up to look at his face. "Peculiar, isn't he?"
The father looked sternly into his wife's eyes and told her, "I don't think the boy's a beggar. He said he's lost his parents. Maybe he's from a neighboring tribe. Can't we just let him stay for awhile and then send him off? He's so young."
Mephisto looked deader than ever, but he clutched the stone around his neck and thought of what the goddess said, and what his parents wanted. He had to go on and live. Where ever he was, it couldn't have been a mistake. He looked up into the woman's face, and said, "If you want, I can tell you all about what's happened, ma'am. I asure you, I am not the begging type, and I will gladly repay you with hard labor if I must for your fine hospitality."
The woman's eyes nearly teared over at him. "Oh my....So well brought up. Yes...please come in. I'll draw you a bath and get you some new clothing..." She began and led him into the house.
The man smiled, the little girl jumped for joy, and the little boy grunted. "Bah!" he exclaimed, and he shut the door.

Hours later as the sun began to set the golden eyes of Aerith flickered open. A frown creased her features as she sat up to see the women from earlier sitting at the edge of the bed. She was wearing a striking white dress with black opals laden at the end dress seams.
"Awake are you." it wasnt a question and her voice is friendly. her red skin seemed to glow and in a way she reminded Aerith of her mother.
'Mother...' She thought as the sadness wanted to erupt again. yet she held it down as .
"Your name is Aerith correct?" Lakatta asked as Aerith smiled weakly drawing her legs to her chest. The black outfit was patched with dirt as Aerith looked up at the women.
"Have you found Mephi?" She asked in a low voice.
"Who is Mephi?" The preistess asked taking her hands to her shoulder as the light flickered in the room from candles, bouncing off her crown of horns that were laden threw thick black hair. Aerith scowled and complained in her shrill childs voice.
"DON'T CALL HIM MEPHI! ONLY I CAN CALL HIM THAT!" Without thinking she sent a mind push at the womens subconcious sending her back off the bed. If it wasn't for her sharp reflexes Lakatta would have been hurled over the chair that was a few feet away.
'So thers another one... and what power she has. Noones been able to penetrate my mind before and I was half sheilded!' She thought as she stod to see the stuned look on the girls face.
It was obvious that this girl was angry and in pain. She would have to be cautious. As the girl had slept Lakatta went to the main data pad in the central city on iridona. Threw the spynet she had found that there was a genocide with a particular race and that there was a ship that had tried to escape with remanits of that species. Searching further she couldn't find anything more. Whoever or whatever was doing this was very good at erasing or killing contacts for information leaks. Lakatta was sure that Aerith was the one involed. It matched the missing parts of te escaped pod landing here. Hopefully the ones who destroyed the ship missed the pod escaping.
Breaking her train of thought she apologised.
" I am sorry Aerith. What does your friend look like? and what may I call him? mabey I can help you find him." She offered as she walked back towards her. keeping in mind what the goddes had said and realising that they shared the same goddess!Aerith looked sullen as her eyes began to water.
"His name was Mephistopheles. He was in our ship when it exploded..." Tears began to roll down her face as she relived once again the frightening expierences of the past.
"Shhhhh. it's ok.. You don't need to cry. Everything will be fine.. You're welcome to stay here. I will take care of you. noone will harm you ever again." She said taking a hand to wipe away a tear. Lakatta then thought of what the goddess said and realised that her friend must be alive. She resolved to investagate to make sure after the child was taken care of.
"Come child. Your home now and will belong to the zabrak. Now let's get you cleaned up and fed. You'll feel better afterwords." Her voice was warm and inviting as Lakatta let a mother's instinct take hold as well as thw will of the goddess. Without saying anoother word Aerith blindly followed. Though thinking she will never be happy again.

CHAPTER 5
Mephisto had enjoyed his bath. The smell of soap and bath oil was always nice, and he felt clean. Much dirt had washed out of his skin and horns and made him bright and colorful again. But he didn't say much to the woman while he did so, only thank you. His mind thought of his mother and the chamber maids that looked after him. They had been so loving to him. His eyes teared again, and they stang.
'Oh dear..' The woman thought. Mephisto had learned her name was Relina. 'He's obviously been through alot.'
After he was done washing, she drained the bath and got him a towel. He dried himself off and covered himself and followed her to a little room where she gave him a set of light colored clothes designed for the desert and some new boots.
"Mom! Why are you giving him MY clothes?" The other little boy, Bowser had exclaimed in a growl, stomping up to her.
She turned, fire in her eyes, "Bowser! How dare you! You have plenty of clothes, and he doesn't. You'd better start being nice to our guest."
Bowser shunned off his anger for the moment and said back to her, Yes mother." And he went off to the kitchen table where dinner was waiting for him.
Mephisto changed into the clothing given to him, and it fit him well. Thinking about that boy reminded him of that bully back at home. The one who Aerith had saved him from. 'Aerith....' He thought, sobbing again. He walked down the hall slowly. 'I don't know where you are...but I hope you're ok. I'll be with you soon.'
At dinner, Mephisto ate, using his proper etiquit and manners, that suprised all of them. While he ate, he answered questions and explained who he was and about what had happened to his planet and his friends, and told them about the goddess. He also explained what a prince and a palace, since theses people obviously weren't goverened by a monarchy.
"Wow....well young one. We are all sorry for your loss. Tommorow, we'll notify the temple of your arrival. They should know something. But for now, clean up here, and then get a good night sleep." Relina had told Mephistopheles.
Mephisto nodded, and he started to clean up the kitchen. 'Hmm...' Mephisto thought, as he was doing things with his hands. 'Maybe I can use some of the magic I've learned!'
Mephisto remembered how he was told to channel the force. He used the emotion from his paining past and made it into energy, then he concentrated on moving the dishes with his mind. They started to shake on the table, and then the lifted. He then directed them to the sink and turned the water on and got the soap and squirted just with thought, and did all of the chores with his powers.
Bowser was watching. He didn't like Mephisto, and he was a little scaarred by what he saw. But he wanted payback for stealing all the attention. "Hey you! Weirdo!" Bowser taunted at Mephi.
Mephisto turned his head and looked at the boy with the menacing face. But he kept his attention on what he was doing, which was now mopping the floor. "That's very rude."
"No it ain't! This is rude, mr perfect!" Bowser yelled, running at him with a hand balled in his fist, directing to punch the sith in the face.
Mephisto took the mop and jabbed him in the gut with the blunt end then force shoved him back and twirled it, then threw the wet end on his face. "All clean!" He said happily, and walked away to the room given to him.
Bowser couldn't say anything, taken as a fool. He went to bed, aming sure not to bother their guest again.

Lakatta left the girl once the bath was drawn leaving her to have some privacy. As she walked down the grat hall she notified proper authorities about her young companaion and to ask all neighboring tribes about him.
One of the young temple women greeted her by a door to an anti-chamber leading to ancient scrols and other ancient items. The young women was around 17 and would soon be taking the final test to become one with the goddess and hopefully would become a temple prestiess. She had great potential.
'Not as much as my new daughter' She thought and smiled. Already taking hold of Aerith as her very own.
"Grettings Mistress. how may I serve you this evening? And how is our young guest?" She smiled and bowed in greeting.
"No need for me to spread the news." Lakatta replied knowing very well that news and fresh gossip spread from the guard from earlier.
"As for serving me I need you to notify the head achivest and put young Aerith down for training and a room next to mine as she will be my daughter."Lakatta smiled inside as the women's yellow eyes widen and then recovered.
"Yes My lady. Will there be anything else?" She laid a hand on her hip as she was bursting with the urge to spread the word. It wasn;t her place to question to take in a child. Much les one that wasn't their own species.
"Yes. Inform the guard to search the neighboring clans for a boy near Aeriths's age. One thats diffrent or had just shown up. He should have horns that look diffrently form ours and green eyes." Lakatta said as the girl absorbed the information.If one visitor wasn't enough.. two was deffinetly something. Lakatta smiled thinking back to as the girl had thought of her friend as she bathed. Her thoughts were of an open book revealing what her young friend was and what he looked like.
"An when he is found have him brought before me."
The young girl nodded, turned and left off in a hurry with her duties. Satisfied lakatta returned to where she left Aerith and found the grl clean and dressed. Smelling of lavander and cloves.
"Feel better?" She asked. Aerith nodded blankly. "Well let's get you something to eat." She held out her hand but Aerith shook her head.
"I would like to just go to bed ma'am." Aerith said quietly. Lakatta nodded and tok her to her bedchamber sense the girls wouldn't be ready for a few days. Once she was in bed the girl closed her eyes and was iediatly asleep.
"I promis you .. by the will of the goddess that this pain will be forgotten young one." She wshipered as she walked back towards the door leading out. There was much to be done this night. As she opened the door Lakatta noticed the girls pack. She thought about taking it but decided otherwise. It was something special..as was the child that was now her daughter....

Mephisto didn't sleep well, but he did mangage to get a few hours in. Before he went to sleep, he had said his prayers to the goess and thanked her for saving him again. Then he asked her if he could please be with Aerith again.
In the morning, the sun poured through the window. It was warm, and felt good on him as he woke. His eyes were a little clearer now, but still dull. He yawned and stretched, then got out of bed and got dressed.
A knock came on the door, and he opened it to see Bowser standing there, a different look then the night before. "I'm sorry for being mean to you, Mephisto." He told him.
Mephisto nodded in acceptance and told him, "That's alright. I'm leaving today."
They both walked down the hall where they were soon caught up by a pair of scampering feet and an excited little voice.
"Oh Mephisto! Mephisto! Good journey to you!" The little girl, Videl told him.
"Thank you." Mephisto told her.
In the living room, he was greeted by the man and woman who had taken care of him for the night. They smiled down at him, as if he were family, eventhough they knew they could not keep him.
"Be well, little one." Relina had told him. She gave Mephisto a cookie for a goodbye present which Mephisto chewed on.
He said thank you and bid the family fare well. Then he and Kerchek walked out into the sun, toward the temple.
The marketplace was full of activity again. People looked at Mephisto with wonder. Others didn't pay attention to him. Then a woman approached them. She was wearing the white dress of the temple workers, and she was looking at Mephisto as she walked up, her eyes gleaming freindly.
The man had stopped walking and stood to greet the woman, and so did Mephisto. He could tell who she was because on Korriban, the temple workers dressed the same. He bowed his head as she came and acknowledged them. Kerchek backed away and knelt to the ground, then got up and left, waving goodbye and goodluck to the little boy.

The young female zabrak smiled and bowed to Kerchek. The young boy before her looked puzzled as he looked at her with those startling green eyes. Eyes that held much passion and pain.
"Grettings young one. I am Serith, a helper in th temple." She smiled at him and nodded for the boy to follow him. The peope in the streets paid them no mind at tha point as thy walked up the marbled steps and into the main hall. It was paved in multiple dark blues and blacks with decrees of religion all over.
"This way." She said as they went down to a diffrent hallway. Down at the end came a graceful zabrak. Dressed in her white gown with black opals. her hors visible threw her hair as she smiled.
"I ahve been waiting for you Mephisto. I am Lakatta High preistess." She paused as he stopped before him."
" I believe someone else here would be glade to see you. My new daughter.. and now you my son.." She never gave him time to respond as she opened the door and lead him in. There asleep on the bed was his best friend Aerith.

Mephistopheles followed Serith into the temple. He had noticed the writing on the steps. It was in his language. These people knew of the Sith religion? Obviously. This awe inspired him.
As they walked into the great hall, he looked around at the walls, floor, and many holy ornaments. Everything was beautiful. And he could feel the power in the place. 'I can feel it, Goddess Nimith...I can feel the power here.' He thought to himself.
Then they came up the High Priestess and she introduced herself, and he greeted her respectfully. She was beautiful and powerful too.
"Someone else? Your daughter? Huh? Me, your so..." He broke off in these questions of puzzlement as the lady opened the door to a bedchamber. Inside on the bed was his best friend from his home planet.
"Aerith!" Mephisto gasped. he ran in and to the bedside where he saw her awakening.
"Oh Aerith! You are here! You are here!" He proclaimed. His prayers had been answered.
