What up with da bills? ? On the good side, you have plenty of kindling for a nice bonfire. Saturday, I received a clinic bill for a procedure, and (conveniently, on the same day) a late notice for the VERY SAME BILL. Do real people with reasonable intellegences work for these companies??

LOL. I can see that happening.
All of these were from a billing collection service for University of Michigan.

Just a quick update to let you know that we got the results from Mark's scope. He does have an infection (probably caused by Celina's drinking water, no kidding) but there is no sign of cancer. YEA!!! The doc agrees that all symptoms are from his WG and will will get in contact with our other UM doc to see what meds might need to be changed. He also put Mark on levaquin to hopefully get rid of the infection More later when we hear more That is good news!!! I am glad it wasn't anything more..... Funny about the bill! They are as bad as the goverment! I got bill for my fourth quarter taxes, which my accountant forgot to let me know I owed in April , and that day my stimulus check came for $23 and something cents! They deducted what I still owed for taxes! After I just sent the check! Gahhh!!!!! Now I have to wat for THAT check to be refunded! See? I understand.

Finally got a call back from Nerf's rheumatalogist. He was waiting for Nerf to finish his antibiotics before making a decision. He basically said he didn't know what to do anymore. He is taking Nerf off all the meds he is currently on and going back to his ORIGINAL ('way back when) meds. Well, problem is, Nerf has had WAY more than the "lifetime allowance" of such med (a chemo drug in pill form called Cytoxn) and now will be extremely at risk for bladder cancer (as if he isn't already) which is why they took him off it to begin with, and ALSO the pill was not working as well as it once had, which is also another reason the took him off it. AND the dosage he will be on is not as strong as what he was taking. So I am very leery about this.
He could go back on the infusion he had before, which I think DID seem to help, but there is a risk of brain anuerisms and tumors with that and that really scares Nerf. So its a toss up over which is worse.
Also please see the Buying/Selling/Tradng thread for an auction to help us out
BLAH!!

Just an update:
Mark has a herniated disk and nerve problems which stems down into his legs, which was not caused by an injury but by the TNF (tumor necrosis factor) of his disease. Tomorrow he goes in for an epidural of cortisone to see if that will help the inflammation and pain. If not, he will need surgery.
Also we will be setting up another round of his infusions. We have to do it in Michigan this time because the doctor here won't do it anymore. ::rolls eyes::

I have been wondering how he has been doing and was hoping for the best... kind of the "no news is good news" thing... I am sorry that you will have to travel all the way to Michigan... how long of a trip will that be? I have to tell you... the past couple of years I have been getting more and more upset with the condition of healthcare in America...
