Its about a 3-1/2 hour drive one-way up to Ann Arbor ...luckily this time we will have to only go for two infusions rather than every week. And don't get me started on the state if healthcare...&*$#%@

Carol... note this story that I copied and pasted from the local paper... note the last line about "not having insurance"... The body of a man found floating in a Tinley Park creek was preliminarily identified as Thomas P. McKay, 24, of Mokena, according to the Orland Park Police Department.
Positive identification is awaiting confirmation by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, the OPPD said.
McKay, a Lincoln-Way East alum, went missing on Dec. 13 from his father's home in Orland Park where he was temporarily staying. His body was found dead on arrival in a creek running through McCarthy Park near 167th Street and 80th Avenue in Tinley Park on Tuesday, March 3, according to the Tinley Park Police Department.
According to the OPPD, McKay was reported missing by family members after he "unexpectedly left" his father's home.
Cmdr. McCain with the TPPD said the body was found by a Tinley Park-Park District employee Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m.
No foul play is suspected, McCain said. The cause of death, however, is pending, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
"The post-mortem exam showed no signs of trauma," the commander said. "We're not going to rule on until the toxicology report comes back."
According to a December story in The Mokena Messenger, McKay's father, Tom, said that his son had become very distressed during the week leading up to his disappearance and has behavioral issues. He was taken to the hospital on Thursday, Dec. 11, but was not admitted because he did not have insurance.

Oh &*%$#@ That hospital should be implicated in his death
Anyways
Mark had a spinal nerve block in his spine and both hips. He will need 2 more to make sure he is pain free for a long time. So far he still has some pain, but it has reduced. The next one is March 26
We finally got his Rituxan treatments scheduled for Michiga. March 23 and April 7th. They wouldn't do them anymore down here because of billing ( %&^$#@ -- it is "off label use" so therefore insurance won't pay)
So we'll be busy the next month or so running from one hospital to the next

Since I've been is from Dragon*Con I've been to Urgent Care, The ER and Michigan twice with hubby. While I was gone (at D*C) his legs and feet swelled up horribly and haven't gone down hardly and he can barely walk because of the tenderness. His labs have been good, though, so no one can figure out what's going on.Plus he also has a rash which we have to go up to Ann Arbor (again) on Friday to get biopsied to see if its his disease or something else. and now we have to get an echocardiogram (which at least we can get done here) to see if heart could be part of the problem since his blood oxygen level was a little low
