...that you were something else in costume? For example, at a contest around where I live, I went as an incredibly short Jango. I got my picture taken with my brother (he was Harry Potter) and the picture was titled "Robocop and Boy with Cape and Nerd Glasses." Can you believe it?

I've been called Obi Wan Kenobi a lot but I look nothing like a male. ANd definatly not like young Obi Wan.

yeah but Obi's a GUY. I'm not.:-D LOL The ROboCOp thing, sheee. Seems like they had NO clue what Fett even looked like let alone RoboCop. I've seen both Robo movies. His gear and Fett's. No relation. :-)

Yeah, last Halloween I costumed for a cub scout event, and one of the dads came up to me and asked "Are you Anakin?" I politely said, no... I'm a girl. He assumed I was Anakin because of the braid. I just said they all have them and left it at that.

Who ever that reporter was needs to be repremaned...I would contact the paper and talk to his boss and set the record straight. It was direct insult to the characters and you and if a reporter can't take the time to get the character costumes straight, then he shouldn't be reporting... ouuuuuu, that makes me mad!!!

I have been called a Monk a few times. Must be the brown robe. Was also called "Dork" but I don't think that counts here

At Dragon Con a lady asked me if I was Robin Hood. I don't know HOW in the world a Mace Windu-like costume can look like Robin Hood, but hey, she wasn't a con rat, so there.

Jaren, that's sad. It's one thing to have someone misunderstand but to have a reporter PRINT his/her bad guess! I agree with emerita, that was a REALLY bad reporter. I pay more attention to the details of my captions just for the photos I put on my photo host! While wearing my Jocasta Nu costume public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/jocasta_nu/final.html at a local Con, someone who was a regular con-goer thought I was a Klingon. Sigh. While wearing "standard" Jedi.... I, too, have been called Obi-Wan. Sometimes I respond, since I'm old enough, "No, I'm Obi-Wan's mother". A muggle once called me Darth Vader. If he wasn't a muggle I might have been insulted!
