Yeah, we always have a Toys For Tots collection box in the store after Halloween until around Chritmas Eve, It's a joint sponsership between the store & the Vampires who make the fangs.

Hail Brethern,
At most Cons I go to, I usually get called Obi Wan or Qui-Gon. Though I look nothing like them, they just use those names because they see a person dressed like a Jedi and automatically think Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon. I usually say, "No, I am just a Jedi, my own Jedi. But I am not a Jedi Knight, but a Jedi Day, sometimes I may be a Jedi Mid-Afternoon. It all depends on the mood I am in!!!!"
LOL

When I was at Chiller Con last year, there was a documentary crew filming all the goings on. I got "caught" by the crew and stunned them when I replied that I 'just another' Jedi from the Clone Wars era. After telling them this, I think they still didn't completely accept it. They still thought that I was Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan.

Just like every pilot isn't Wedge, not every jedi is Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan. Right?

I imagine it is embarrassing to the people that think we are something else....maybe they are fans of StarWars and are taken aback when they can't even recognize the costumes... I know I would be embarrassed.......I have seen a few that were so excited to see the costumes that they get all flustered....I always try to be kind and give a slight lesson in Jedi and it always makes the person feel at ease and then they start asking questions about the character I am....we have toi remember that many love it, but just aren't knowledgeable...but maybe they are in other things like wrestling or car racing...I have no clue about that....lol

OMG!!!!! Just tonight... I was asked if I was supposed to be Peter Pan! LOL! I was setting up for the cub scouts halloween pack meeting, dressed as a Jedi (of course) and a Dad came by to help. I was too busy to explain what I was so I just said "yes", and could you pass me the scotch tape please? Later I found out that he was dressed up as Bill Gates, and I didn't even know he was wearing a costume!

Yeah, that one really threw me for a loop. It was a woman I work with. When I told her I was a Jedi, I don't think she knew what that was. And she wasn't really old, but in her late 40s or early 50s. So I finally had to explain that it was Star Wars. Then she called me Star Wars Woman for the rest of the evening.
