Hi, everyone! Been busy lately, not much time to post - but onto the question! What lightsaber colors are accepted here? I know that different groups use different acceptable colors (ranging all the way from blue, green, and yellow to orange, silver, and white), so I'm just curious . . . what do you guys accept? Thanks!

Not Red, definitly, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow & Orange and variations of those. What colour do you have in mind? We'll accept any that are mentioned in an EU novel or comic book, with book pg & paragraph info. Black & White are non-colours & silver just sound silly to me. This answer is not written in stone, but is a pretty good guide. If it's really to weird I'm sure the council will let you know.

Back during the Filming of AotC, there was an interview with GL. Sam Jackson asked GL 'Who do I talk to about my Lightsabre color?'. GL said 'The Good Guys had Green or Blue and the Bad Guys had Red. That's the way it is.' SJ asked 'What about Purple?' to which GL said, 'That could be arranged.'
I don't follow the EU very much, but I go by that interview as far as Lightsabre colors go.
For what it is worth, here is the link to the interview.

That's the way I heard it too... and Mace is the only Jedi to have a purple blade, if you wanna get picky.

Yes. Corran Horn had a silvery colored Lightsaber. His was a "special" dual-phase Lightsaber which made the blade look silvery.

What about Kyp Durron? I think he had a red lightsaber for quite a while. I am referring to the pics from the I think it was the leviathin comic. I know he had to fight a big monster and he wouldnt let his freind and i think aprentice at the time Dorsk 82 be in the fight(he snuck off to do it).

Yea, but Kyp was also on The Dark Side for a while. And still is kind of ... well... unstable.
IMHO, we want to be recognizable to the public as Jedi. In most people's minds, a red blade means "Sith".

We are still deciding about acceptable saber colors here and will add our decision to our code. For the time being, we do NOT accept red blades in general. If we decide to, it will be character specific only-- such as for Mara Jade, EU Luke and Leia, and Adi Gallia. In other words, you have to have a costume exactly like one of those characters to have a red blade. But we are still debating, so please be patient with us. I didn't want to leave you hanging. ;D

I have the updated section from our Jedi Code regarding this issue:
Lightsaber colors: When a saber is either rotoscoped for a costuming picture or recreated for a saber prop, a red saber can only be used in conjunction with a costume recreation of Mara Jade, Luke / Leia from the Dark Empire comics, and Adi Gallia. Furthermore, the saber colors that the Jedi Assembly will allow are blue, green, purple, yellow, silver or orange unless dressed as a specific character. If a member wishes to recreate a Jedi character from the Expanded Universe, that character’s saber’s color must also be recreated. This is so characters and their respective saber colors are recognizable.

One quick question about the orange........I have been selling the Parks sabers with his orange for the Sith color, the other option is a reddish pink which looks closer to Mace's purple. The orange comes close I think (partially color blind here) to Vaders in ANH. So, my question would be is it still allowed for a Jedi color? I know Lightech offers one more blood red, so just wondering?

If it looks like Vader's ANH... then it's red, and the answer would be no. I believe that the orange we accept is undeniably orange. If it crosses into the red zone and becomes questionable, then it's red. The two colors should be clearly distinguishable.
Make sense?
But I think I would have to see an orange parks first hand to really answer that correctly.

Just a quick comment...Adi Gallia only had red in Jedi Power Battles, the action figure and comic books. One can assume she would have had a blue/green in AOTC if she was in it. Ki-Adi, Plo Koon and other such Jedi who had other colours in these mediums also had blue/green in AOTC. So in that ammendment about Adi...not to sure if I agree

The problem is what EL colors are available..........Lightech makes a blood red looking one....Parks does not........MR makes Vaders very red and looks good.......there may be a few other companies out there that make shades of red although I haven't seen any others..........I feel for the Sith guys......not a lot of choices for EL
