OK... the orange in that pic totally looks orange...
And Primrodo, we're not saying that anyone with an Adi Gallia costume has to have a red blade... that's just saying that red blades areonly acceptable with certain cosume recreations.

The problem is what EL colors are available..........Lightech makes a blood red looking one....Parks does not........MR makes Vaders very red and looks good.......there may be a few other companies out there that make shades of red although I haven't seen any others..........I feel for the Sith guys......not a lot of choices for EL Too bad Parks and Lightech blades aren't interchangeable.

The Parks blade works in a lightech saber but couldn't get the lightech to work in the Parks.......may have been a particular quirk since it was years ago when I tried it.....both may have made changes since then.......not sure ..........and there is the potential burn out.........

Is red really the only Sith color? I was wondering why orange wasn't a Sith color, too. I was just thinking that Sith lightsabers would be fire colors, going from pink through red to orange.

Since the Sith synthesize their own crystals I am sure there might have been variences although only slight on the shades........so good point.........the problem is really only with EL sabers.........red seems not to be an easy color to match.......when we had eight to ten ELs going at once with blue, green, purple and orange (all from Parks) the orange sure looked Sithly to me......

Ah, ok... Mike mentioned the burnout thing. I have a Lightech saber I bought in the fall of 1999 and the blade doesn't work in my newer model either. But in 99 I think he was still designing some stuff with Jeff.

Ah. Ok, I misunderstood.
Well yes, for official volunteering or other events where we represent LFL, we have to be movie canon... absolutely. Even though we do accept EU for membership here, which is what the red bladed Adi Galli is considered, for official stuff she would need the color saber she had in the film. LFL is very particular, as well they should be.

In the film, Adi Gallia doesn't HAVE a blade, does she? We can't assume what she have, because people get all cannon about things. But since WE accept some EU character costumes, we made that rule.
If someone had an Adi Gallia costume, I guess any color listed in our code is fine. The rule was made in reference to people asking if they could have red blades and be members here. So, if you want a red blade, you also have to have one of the costumes listed to go with it. Make sense?
As for the different colors/variations ofl the different vendors sell, if there is any question in someone's mind, they will have to send a picture to the Council to make sure. There's no way we can lsit all the colors and blades of every vendor and say what is acceptable.

Well Canon about things is what she is, as a canon created character and since George himself said they have blue or green, we can only saftly say she has one of those colours. Plo Koon had what Orange or Yellow in teh games and COmics, but in the movie had Blue right?
I'm not out for a canon argument, its just that certian liberties are taken in the EU nowadays. I understand the rule I just disagree that Adi has a red blade.
I don't mind colour variation by any means, just adding to the discussion...

I like open minds, but will stay with my chosen colour of a yellow blade when I finally get the EL of my dreams. Silly of course, but I like it. , and I like the orange toy too.

If memory serves me....which it doesn't do too well anymore...lol..
The Adi Galia Hasbro figure from Episode One was packaged with a red lightsaber....that I am sure of...
The part I am not so sure of is that she carried a red blade in the "Jedi Apprentice" series of books.
