I have to add Appraching Storm to my list too.... Kinda forgot about that one...
This brought back a memory too. When I was in the Army, I was stationed in Panama for a time. I went home for Christmas leave and was on my way back. I had a layover in Miami and so while I kicked around the airport waiting for my plane, I saw a book at the newsstand. It was Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn, the first of the Thrawn Trilogy. I instantly bought it and inhaled the book while I waited (long layover). The best Chrstmas present I got that year. This was 1991. Dude. The book that started EU up all over again. It was the first since the "old" Han Solo Trilogy that I had read so many years earlier.... yay! And now look at it. Star Wars books all over the place. Gotta love it...

Mr Zhaun is a very nice man. I met him at NecronomiCon this year. I has just finished the first book of "Heir to the Empire" triology. VERY interesting. Thrawn is one cagy being.

I loved the Heir to the Empire trilogy, bough em upon first release and secretly hoped they'd come to the big screen eventually. Unfortunately those dreams probably won't come to bear, but good trilogy none-the-less.
