Got the private message...still beating head on computer about it...will keep trying... Garden walk... I am a Master Gardener for Will County IL and a restoration technician, butterfly monitor, certified wildfire fighter (for prescription burning of natural areas) and all around good guy volunteer for the local Forest Preserve District. I have a massive garden that was on the Illinois Audobon Society's Butterly Garden Walk...there were 60 gardens flung out over a 5 county area that people purchased tickets to go see....all proceeds went to the Audobon Societies Land Acquisition fund...to buy land to preserve. And above all....the garden's name is: "Endor Garden".....of course! Gotta make the Star Wars connection I am also a member of the Mokena Environmental Commission and founder of the Mokena Garden Club...if you wanted to see something really funny...you should have seen the Garden Club meeting that was held at my house in April....25 members from 20years old to 60 years young ....meeting was in my Star Wars room ( it's my largest room)...really funny to see a little old lady sitting on a chair next to a life-size stand up of Obi-Wan Kenobi on one side and a life-size R2D2 cooler on the other side. ;D ;D ;D

:oWow! Now that is impressive. Most Impressive! I actually considered being a forst/park ranger or wildlife something as a career. Forgot why I didn't do it. Started a petsitting business instead!;D And the next time you post, I want to see it in color! lol!

That sounds as if you have a really beautiful garden, and I love butterflies, I go to a lot of great gardens when I get to the UK, and butterfly farms and gardens are quite popular as well. Sounds like a good picture. My uncle who lives in Montana is a retired forest/park ranger, but I've never been there, it must look amazing.Glad it gave yousome time to read.

Hey, guess what?! My mom let me start reading the Han Solo Trilogy! I'm only on the third chapter of Paradise Snare, but I'm already hooked. So I think I have a new fav EU novel (or series).

LOL Too bad you didn't tell my mom that. The only reason I get to read it is 'cause the school wants to know that we read on our own... for *fun*. So I get my SW books now. I'm so glad I get them! ;D ;D

On the other hand my step son has a reading program at school and they have to read books from a list the school has. Well his teacher said the Jedi Apprntice books aren't on the list so I wrote her a little note. he hates to read but he picked up that series and was so excited so I told the teacher I really didn't care about the list as long as he was finally reading and loving it that is what was important. He just started two in the series and is almost done he's only been reading it for like there days he is only nine so I'm so stoked for him! Hey Eqin let me know how the Han trilogy is I havent read it but I love Han solo he is so cool!!

Good for you, Jade! If the kid wants to read SW books then he should. Noit that he shouldn't read other stuff, too, but if reading isn't fun, then he won't do it at all.

I can't honestly imagine anyone having a problem with any of the Star Wars books....
I mean they contain no swearing, no sex,
yeah, they have a little violence... but have ya seen the news lately?

I never did get a response from that teacher. Still waiting. ugh! Every year I go through this with the teachers. well I'm just going to let him read it anyway and if she dosen't like it to bad. I did my part she never followed through and SW books are really great. They are clean story line with action adventure and that bond between Han and Leia in some like the EU oh my gosh so funny, reminds me alot of my relationship in alot of ways. Gotta love the Jedi. My friend is into SW but is phobic to talk about it in public but we race to see who can get the next NJO book and finish it first. Had to slow down on Traitor though I want to full absorb and savor it. It is interesting. ;D
