Jencappa, so far as I know, padawans wear a single braid, usually behind the right ear, (unless, of course they flipped the negative)but, this might only apply to padawans in Eps.I & II, and the Jedi Apprentice & Quest novels.

Sounds good to me Jen. Which culture? Asian? My hair hasn't grown as fast nor as long as I'd like. Until it does, I use a braid extension for when I'm in Jedi garb at conventions. People think it's a real Padawan braid, it matches extactly my shade. Since it IS a job to weave it in(I do so myself), I leave it in a while after the Convention. I'd gotten compliments off non-starwars fans. Hardest part is wrapping the colored bands. Does anyone know how wide they should be? I know the locations, jsut not their width.

The warrior braids I wear are actually from the viking culture. But there is some reference to hair braids on some of what I've read about wookies.

When I am in costume my character wears a braid for each padawan she has trained. I have three braids. I wear them as a symbol of respect for the padawans.......and a reminder NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN!!...

LOL! You mean not to have a Padawan again or the mistakes that were made with the particular Padawan? That does sound like a very cool idea though.

LOL. ;D...you guys crack me up.......Thing is I was rebellious as a padawan and always getting in trouble....The Council knows that my padawans can't put anything over on me...LOL...Most of the time they are told that if they survive their training with me, they won't need to go through the trials.....

Cool, I have the one behind my Right ear. Once on a lark I braided the hair in front of the ears, like I'd seen in one of George's concept drawings of the prequel Jedi. It looked good since that hair there was down to my shoulders.
