Yep, that costume braid was not a good investment unless you consider providing entertainment for others the goal! I have since retired my braid! The waitress at Azteca had no trouble figuring out who the braid on the floor belonged to!

The best thing to do is cut the clip off (using a yellow band to secure the topp so it doesn't come unbraided) and use spirit gum adhesive to attach it to your skin at the hairline

I'm thinking of cutting mine off... I just measured it... 25 inches! Way longer than my hair... and long enough to make a good braid to be able to attach when I wear the costume. Not sure...

I have mine in my drawer...
I think you've passed the trials enough to do so if i is your wish..
I don't know if I will try to re-grow mine once my hair comes in or not

Is it still a Padawan Braid if you don't have the buzz cut that goes with it? LOL

The female younglings in the training scene with Yoda in AOTC have braids but don't seem to have buzz cuts... ;D

Well, it's taken 18 months for me to grow my hair and today I went and had it cut off, just leaving a bit to create my braid with. The hairdresser thought I was crazy but seemed to accept the explanation my friend gave: ' insane star wars fan'.

Until I "lost" mine I grew it out for almost 4 years. It was 17" when I lost it
