If you can scan them and email them to Tanthos, I think he will post them, that's how mine got there, I'm a rival in the computer doofus competition. My boss scanned them for me, emailed them to me and then I emailed them to Tanthos.

Yeah I finally got fabric and can start. I found some dark green silk fabric for my under tunic it is so soft. I'm going to make it like OB-1's long and kinda bunched at the wrist. the I got this other stuff rayon cotton blend very very soft about the color of Ryss's tunics for the over tunic. I can figure out if I should make the tabbards the same color that baige or what. My boots and belt are dark brown. My cloak will also be dark brown lightweigh/midweight wool. Hopefully it dyes ok. I'm so stoked about it. I got a great pattern. Basicly a four in one martial arts one youcan make a nija, a Gie, a kimono and kimono robe it is perfect even has the sash pattern and a tabbard that can easily be altered for Jedi purposes. Just gotta find a good robe pattern. I'm torn between Old Republic and Anakins. I love the sleves on his Robe. I really like ob-1 and maces to any sugestions?

I remembered a neat trick with elastic thread for gathering the other day, there is an elastic thread that is fine enough to sew with, you hand wind the bobbin with it/ then you sew with long stiches, using normal thread in the needle, as you sew you pull the fabric tight, the elastic will gather the fabric to about a third of it's width, if it's lt wt. I used it on the gauze under sleeve on the new one, it's very comfortable and neat. I have been mixing the details on some of my tunics, so if you like that sleeve on a differnt style tunic, go for it. Where is the picture of the Jedi w/skirt posted?

Schph, I can't wait to see your pics. I can't wait to see everyone's pics.
Tahiri, your outfit sounds major cool. Our braid colors are alike. I had 'em on it for a long time. That's pretty wild.:-) I had yellow and green at the top of my braid and white/red a the bottom. I never saw pics of more then 2 colors, or where they'd be placed. Do you have pics of your braid?
I like the blue and the green garments. I'm working on some green. I'm not sure what shades of blue look best.

I am working on mine, I am making 2 for a film for class, a sith (my primary) and also a Jedi (which will be me here) I am playing both roles, for boots I am figuring that the best I can do for cheap is well, my old Combat boots from my Army Time. gonna have both follow the same scheme just a light and a dark version, including my modified under robe tunic (A design a friend has in hers) I am currently constructng my lightsaber so i have a new one with light up LEDs

Greetings Alto Fatac....and welcome to the Jedi Assembly...I will be looking for your "introduce yourself" thread.
In the current economy, we all are trying to find the best way to make our costumes as inexpensive as possible...cheap ain't necessarily a bad thing!
As soon as you are done, make sure you send a photo to Tanthos Jorlac to post on the Members Costume page....
film class eh.....hmm....anything you can share along those lines would be great...we may have some budding "fan film" folks here. welcome again.... we have threads on boots, belts, and all of the Jedi necessities...you may find something there to help you in your journey. ;D

took the pix of my two favorite costumes thus far, the lighter one is my first attempt, the darker my third attemp the second attempt, failed me completely, in the pix, you'll see one of the many pvc saber hilts i have constructed, the end results astounded me on the sabers, but the one in hand in the pix sports a 4 foot 7/8 inch wooden dowel, one foot of which is inside the hilt, exposing a three foot blade, which i find personally reasonable in length, plus the other pix are my saber hilts and blastersonly three saber hilts are store bought, anakin's saber, mace's saber, and count dukoo's saber.. i hope to get these pix up and running tomorrow sometime, and as you can clearly see from my arsenal................i am ready for the sith, are you !?
so look for me

I am always ready for the Sith I started my fourth tunic/tabbard/sash set last night. My first (from 1999) is the traditional tan done in Osnaberg.... Second set is a dark brown (the one in the photo on the member's costume page) done in cotton/linen blend Third is a plaid flannel set done as a gag for the upcoming CONvergence party where everyone has to wear something in plaid flannel (a la George Lucas) and now the fourth... it is a taupe color in a cotton/rayon blend that really flows well.....I didn't realize that there was rayon in the blend till the fabric came....but I think it will work out ok..there is more cotton than rayon.... The fifth and last one I will do will be a re-do of my original using a different pattern...done again in Osnaberg fabric....Osnaberg is inexpensive and ravels a lot...but it gets so soft and comfy the more you wash it...

Oh wow, COngrats Schlph.
I found some Osenburge fabris in Chocolate brown and a pale green for some under tunics. 5 yards each at JoAnn's a while back. I recently found some BEAUTIFUL raw Silk.
5 yards in a Pale green that's the SAME color as Bulter Swan's tunic.
5 yards in a Forest green.
I hope it all comes together in time for Dragon Con.
