Well I officially have no life I check this forum and the jedi council forum twice a day, and because I feel Im all alone I figured I see how the tru GEEKs are. I check mine some times three times a day (when I get up for work, when I get home and right before bed) I think I might need help.

I'm not sure exactly how often I check---not counting. Since I've slowly discovered I can have several home pages(slow learning Jedi here )--- TJA is my 1st home page that comes up on my pc. So when I go on the internet TJA pops up 1st. ;D

I'm here about once a day, but I'm on for a while, so I don't usually come back.

I'm probably on here at least 5 times a day. I just pop in to see if there's any new posts and pop back off again.
I am definitely a geek

Somewhere in the forums was a "Geek Test"......I scored very high. I am on and off the net close to a dozen times a day (for email, school, the job, checking on my sites and blogs, plain old surfin')....at least 90% of the time I check in here at the TJA on either or both ends of the session (often in the middle too). That probably makes me somewhat omnipresent here....since i pop in and out about 10-12x/day on average. I just stay logged in and check from 3 different computers depending on where I am.

Ze Fro, please let your wife know that there are MANY MANY MANY ladies interested in Star Wars---I know I used to drive my husband nuts ---he knew it was helping me ;D. That is one thing sometimes I can't figure out & on a occasion erks me ---why do some people think women aren't interested in Star Wars -----if they only knew . We've got some ;D fantastic Jedi ladies here in TJA that could put some young boys or even older gentlemen to shame with how well they can handle a lightsaber & know their Star Wars facts. I am NOT including myself (because I'm still learning) in this area but I do have a very VERY strong love for Star Wars because it has saved me in more ways then I can even think of. Thank you Star Wars for being there or as has been said "Thank the Maker".

Okay, I'm in, but I think I prefer 'nerd' to 'geek'. It is currently very popular to admit you are a music nerd around our area high schools and colleges, and it is starting to have a good connotation. Wish that would have been true during the 70s when I was growing up!
Right on, Jan-Qui!

acalsohei pleases dont take this a a negitive I just thought It would benifit all If we knew why I choose the word GEEK. We welcome you and I thank you for your post.
The definitions of nerd and geek are as follows (found at wikipedia)
nerd - refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests that are age inappropriate rather than engaging in more social or popular activities.
geek - a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, gaming, etc.
thus I conclude that I am a geek not because its popular but because I am obsessed with Star Wars, gamiing, electronics, and history. It sadens me that being a nerd is popular.
Jan-Qui I thank you for your reply and I have noticed that there are a lot of ladies, but unlike my geeky self my wife was a prep in high school and thinks that I am rather childish some times. I have allways been a rpg gamer and a wanabe martial artist with a little live action rolplay. I just like to have fun. shes cool but I doubt that she would ever make a costume and join. shes just not that into anything that much. I think Its sweet that there are so many bad A@# female jedi.
