Thanks Eqin! ;D
As for me....I'd first become a Form III master, then I'd try Form IV.....my sister on the other hand, who takes actual fencing, would most definitely use Form II. ;D

[glow=red,2,300]well, aside from my deep dislike for lightsabers, I'd have to say style I, mostly so I can be different, but it's the closest style to a weapon I can stand.(whatever I happened to pick up at the time)[/glow]

Form 3: A defensive style, developed from the ability of the lightsaber to deflect blaster bolts. Form 3 masters are nearly invincible, but may not be able to overcome an opponenet decisively. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Form 3 master. He only submitted to Darth Vader in their duel on the Death Star so that Luke might escape.
Form 4: A more acrobatic style, where one move flows into the next. A use of the force in assistance of the movements is part of the form. This style can also incorporate 2 lightsabers being used at the same time. This is the form practiced by Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi during the time of the Phantom Menace. Yoda, whose skills are demonstrated in Attack Of the Clones, is a form 4 Master.
Form 7: An advanced style, that requires the mastery of multiple other forms. It is an intensely physical style, using many force assisted leaps and other moves. The only known practioners are Mace Windu, and Darth Maul, who practiced a Sith form of Form 7.
I would definatly learn forms 3 & 4, eventually learning enough of all the other styles to master form 7. This would be due to massive Hero Worship(Ben Kenobi, Qui-gon and Mace Windu are my favorite Jedi) learning there styles would be a great asset to me.
(As a side note Epion/Duo and I are working on making a variation of Jedi combat over the course of the next few months, culminating with a Duel at our Star Wars Party in July. The Jedi combat style will be based on the stuff in the Insider and from the various books we own and have copied stuff from.)

[glow=blue,2,0000]I'm kinda doing the same thing. It'd be cool to see how close our styles are to each other if we meet up at CIII...[/glow]

I must agree with Egin form 2 & 5 are a must and live long enough to study the other forms in this order 4 next then 3 and lastly 7 someone who knows form 5 would stand to know the basics of form 3 as it deals with blaster bolt deflection any way i always loved that move of deflecting it back at the source!!!!

I would use a combination Form3,4 and 7. when all 3 are balanced just right, it would make a Jedi virutally unstopable when agaisnt a Sith or two. But like any good warrior, the battle skills MUST be tempered with mercy and wisdom, or we'er nothing but cold-blooded killers. Now, here's the kicker, finding someone who can teach these forms right. :-)

I'd have to go with forms 1, 5 and 7. 1 because it is a variation formed from the use of a blade and as Jencappa I use a blade. 5 due to the urge to win which I always feel and 7 just to excel in a form that most couldn't do. I would try 7 and study real hard to master it. If I didn't at least I could say I tried.

I think form IV would be really easy for me tho. All I can use is the kinetic Force!! *L*

I would probably do III and V. They seem to be the most "practical" for me

My fencing teacher said something interesting that might help in choosing a style.
1) Naturally aggresive fighters tend to have bad defense. 2) It's good to be agressive in saber because it's a very fast weapon.

Hmmm... Based on what I have done in my life I would be a Form III & IV Practicioner. I took a style of Kung-Fu for 4 years that was Tai-Chi based (for graceful movement and inner development), but had a bit of 5 Animal Shaolin Form to add an aggressive edge to it to make it a balanced style. My Sifu (teacher) always stressed that your moves should flow from one to another and was part of what he taught us. When I graduated High School I wasn't a fighter, but could do the forms that we were taught gracefully. Because of this I would be able to do Form IV. Because the of the style of Kung-Fu that I learned (or is it how I perceived it) was defensive in nature, that would make me able to do Form III.

Calaveyon, Kung Fu does help with Saber movement. It's another wonderfuly graeful martialart. I took matrial arts for alittle while. Now I can't becuase of my job's hours conflict with the Dojo's schedule. Too bad I can't find a Sifu that can teach me privatly. The local Dojo doesn't offer this option.
