My lightsaber is done, and it looks so cool!! I'm really excited, because I can't believe I actually made something that looks so neat...I'll post pics once I have them!  I used the instructions for Saber Style Four from the Big Yellow Box, and it worked great. The instructions are very easy to follow, even for someone like me, and the pictures helped alot. I did change it a bit; instead of a gas cap for the pommel, I made a custom-turned-on-a-lathe mahogany one. I was visiting my grandparents, who have all sorts of tools, so they were able to help me. ~Ryss ;D |

Really sounds cool...and the best part is that your grandparents also taught you a skill that you can use in other things.....

Well, the main body of the lightsaber was a sink tailpiece, and since it was a few inches too long, I cut off one end. Then I cut that piece in a sort of wavy design to get that nice emitter shape....I used instructions from the Big Yellow Box site ( mywebpages.comcast.net/yellowbox/bigyellowbox/index.htm) and it was pretty simple! I did modify the instructions a bit, like the pommel, but for the most part that site was very helpful! ~Ryss ;D |

The handle piece is awesome!!!!
You seem to have your costume just about complete Padawan......
Now I have a gift for my Padawan (as is tradition in the Jedi Order.....Qui Gon gave Obi-Wan a stone...Obi-Wan gave that same stone to Anakin)..
For you I have the tunic that I sewed for the Fan Film for the Mace Windu character....hopefully it would fit you...it is hand sewn so it is easy to alter if the sleeves are too long or if you would want a shorter tunic. I would also include extra fabric for you to make whatever tabbard and sash you decide on.....
So....
ask your parents if you can accept them.....and the tunic is yours......send me your address......
