...but for a Jedi trying to hide from the newly formed Empire, an essential tool to survive. I made that a while ago, before I finished my comlink acually, but I just found the pictures of it that I put online. It still shoots little plastic BBs too, but not marshmallows

Blasters are cool to have anyway. I mean the blaster did save obi-wan... despit his lightsaber.

I sometimes carry a blaster...I have it on a cellphone clip very similar to a covertec...but it's the cheap Hasbro Clone Blaster...I'll probably make a better one someday.

I think it would be fun to carry around one of those clone blasters, if no more than to shoot people with the silly string! Someone ought to make a blaster that fires marshmallows... I think that would be a bit more civilized and befitting a Jedi in here

A marshmallow blaster has possibilities. Perhaps if you found a toy that shoots nerf balls and dressed it up as a blaster?
I agree that Jedi-in-hiding would have to resort to blasters to stay hidden. But I'm sure that they would have phenomenal aim.

ORRrrrrrrrrrrr. A jedi could disguise his/her/it's saber as a blaster barrel. If they built the saber with the ability to shut down the blade containment field it could concievably function as a blaster of sorts....

A blaster/lightsber could be difficult to use. How would you grip it as a lightsaber? The two are held completely differently.
I haven't thought much about getting any blasters for costumes because they can be so much of a problem at conventions. They look too much like real guns. Oh, gone are the days when you could see a half-a-dozen Han Solos with blasters blazing.

yes a jedi-in-hide have to use a blaster but look at luke in rotj he wasn't really hiding and he used a blaster so if it's good enough for luke it's good enough for me

I was looking for parts to start an endor Trooper blaster rifle when I came across this: www.kapowwe.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=1-1-574&Category_Code=Lotsoftoygunsand I immediatly thought of the Jedi Marshmallow Blaster! I mean, it alread looks like a star wars blaster: scope, flash guard and all... and it fires plastic balls that look to be the size of marshamllows! How perfect is that? edit to add: ...I'm on the mailing list to find out when these are available again

I think the consistancy of a marshmallow would render it unshootable from guns of that type. The marshmallow would likely absorb most, if not all, of the "push" from the gun and either just stick in the barrel or go "Phump" and fall out the front. I still would like to see one that works though....lot's of uses there.....shootouts, cookouts, etc.
