Yeah I bought them to make props but then used them for their actual purpose!

I need to finish those comlinks; I've got all the parts and painted a few, but I need to cover up the back and figure out what I want to put on them. For awhile I couldn't find any Gillette shavers, but now I'm seeing them back in the stores again. So, get 'em while they're there!
Don't you think it would be fun if we made comlinks from OTHER kinds of shavers, too?

Those are both wicked cool designs, and very well painted! Did you two find the ones with the solid insert area? I could only find the rubbery ones when I looked around. speaking of which... I think I'll be off to my garage now

I have one of the solid centered ones, and somewhere, one of the rubbery ones. I'm the original owner of both kinds.
Here is the base of my future comlink, with prospective antennae:

Notice how the wavy grip pattern is slightly different with the solid razor, since more of you have probably only seen the rubbery ones. That may influence greeblie type and placement, since there are "blank" spots above and below the wavy pattern.

Jauhzmynn, what photo hosting service did you sign up with? JediBaja (I really like those shirt studs BTW! ) and I are using Photobucket.
All you need to do is copy and paste the URL of the photo in between the image codes when you click on the Insert Image button.

Thanks Loreen! For some reason I can't find them anymore, at least not in the assorted pack I bought years ago at Michaels. They're very versitile, I use them decorate my lightsabers too.
