Hypers stuff isent worth the price. the sound board is junk, and you cant duel with it cause its an over exagorated MR. persionally I would take the 500$ and spend it on a custome saber

Anyone at CIV who saw the Luke outside with the flying Boba could see the sheer power of the Hyperdyne saber. Outside in full sunlight you could tell it was on. Inside I saw it and held the same saber. Incredible. Price is high but it's really quality, the hilt actually vibrated while the saber was on, I couldn't really tell the blade was there. Gave more of the realistic approach. are you telling me his blade is weightless (or extremely well balanced)?? I always assumed they'd have the same unbalanced problems as the stock MR had.

Well my main issue is that there is still stuff in the blade so sooner or later an led is gonna pop no matter what you do to prevent it. His sound board is to pricy for what it does. Thats why ervs first board couldent be sold in the us cause it had some kinda thing where it was so close to hypers copyright he couldent sell it in the us but his new one man for 150$ compleatly customizable sound setup. and now he got the force push effect with the V2. pritty sweet. I would say for a lux type seup the atlas led(white only ) do clo had to take a pic of it in daylight just to get a decent pic. I think as the leds advance we will have sabers that can be seen in daylight.

I'm saying the vibrations in the handle made it seem like there was no blade. As for Hasid: His stuff isn't crap, don't judge until you've experienced it first hand. I talked with the luke, who is in one of the pics from a CIV pic posted on these forums, he said his blade is just as duel worthy as a lux or Parks saber. Sure, eventually something might break, but that is the case with everything if you beat the hell out of it. IMO, I might get my Obi-Wan done with Hyper, which was quoted for $ for the conversion.

everyone has their likes and dislikes. I have not heard or seen one personally but myself I don't feel comfortable with what is basically a very expensive MR blade for dueling.

Yeah, that's Lawrence. SoCal's Jedi Luke. He's had the Hyperdyne ROTJ since Comicon of last year. Recently SoCal's Obi-Shawn converted his Obi-Wan FX to Hyperdyne as well.
They were telling me at an event a couple weeks ago that they went at it with their Hyperdynes during CIV. Really wailing the crud out of the blades; full on swings. Nothing happened to the LEDs.
I am gobbling up as many Obi-Wan FXs as I can get before they are gone. I have a stock MR, I just got a Lux convert, and I'd like to pick up another MR to convert to Hyperdyne by year's end.
Have a Cadillac saber. All blingy and bright and shiny and stupid.

There not hitting very hard. its barly enought to trigger the clash sensor.
Some one did a review of one on fxsabers and it takes a good bit to trigger the clash sensor but again remember its still a component blade and leds will pop.

2 things makes I wouldn't duel with an hyperblade
1- balance. It wouldn't be any better balanced then a stock MRFX. I like to have better balanced sabers.
2- breakage. They are a hell more sturdy then MRFX, but if I can pop-out the tip of an ultrasaber heavy duel blade and twist its filter, I sure can damage an internal board system... I always have spare blades for sparring sessions, just in case. They are duel worthy, not *combat worthy*
this said, they're a cadillac... all nice and good looking, but you wouldn't do any off-road.

Meh. then it would be an old cadillac, Unless he comes out with some sort new setup then his stuff wont be anything like a new cadillac

I always have spare blades for sparring sessions, just in case. They are duel worthy, not *combat worthy* Wouldn't that mean that you're swinging a bit too hard? Afterall, it's supposed to be role play, and if one is swinging to the point of damaging things, wouldn't that mean that one is also risking injury to their opponent as well? A well choreographed sequence at moderate speed sometimes is more enjoyable to watch than two amatuers wailing on each other without purpose, direction, or discipline.

true to a point, If somebody has a well choreographed sequence then I want them to try and bash each other's brains out. what is the point then? Dancing around like a bunch of fairies?
