One thing you might want to consider is the pictures are taken in different conditions, and I guess with a different camera. Therefore, we cannot compare those 2 pictures.
Another thing you might want to consider is that there are other cheaper conversion that will compete with that... I personally use luxeon. While my 1W luxeon compares in brightness with a MRFX, there is new K2 3W technology that makes for a LOT brighter saber... particularly when paired with a CorbinsComponents driver. Also, the luxeon blade have NO electronics inside the blade... while Hyperblades are sturdy, the electronics inside *will* eventually fail. Also, a light blade is supposed to have NO weight.
I am not saying that hyperblade aren't good, but I do believe that making an enlighten choice requires to know all the options... and I believe that the hyperblade while being a valid option is simply overpriced.

Single LED conversions are nice, but I believe that the Hyperdines are the Cadillacs of lightsaber conversions. They're expensive, but you'll be hard pressed to beat them.
Also saying that the blades *will* fail is like saying that a parks *will* fail eventually.

stress test should prove that the hyperblade would last longer then MR, but not as long then any EL-wire technology blade. EL will surpass its life expectancy, leds will collapse opon repeated impacts. Another problem is the bill for a replacement blade when it happens.
But I agree that they are like the caddilacs: expansive for what you get: part of the bill being the name

When I think of hyperdyne's lightsaber stuff, I think of not worth the money.
But his stuff for the vader sute guys I hear is worth the money.
I will stick with my flashlights thank you. if I wanted a saber with a non removable blade and something where the leds will pop after dueling I would sick with an mr.
and for the bombastic sound stuff erv is deffinatly the person to go to.
Hear that hyper cant get him on this soundboard.

I think it is a matter of what you are going to use your saber for, what it was meant for, or just to show it off in pictures?

Anyone at CIV who saw the Luke outside with the flying Boba could see the sheer power of the Hyperdyne saber. Outside in full sunlight you could tell it was on. Inside I saw it and held the same saber. Incredible. Price is high but it's really quality, the hilt actually vibrated while the saber was on, I couldn't really tell the blade was there. Gave more of the realistic approach.
