It's called either a knob or a button. I thought I saw you say "knob" in another post.
Obviously, you have to have a screw hole for it. Either the proper size with the right thread, or a larger one that you can put a nut on from the inside. Though I have one put on with a pop-rivet on my hardware saber.
Maybe you're hubby can figure it out for you. I don't have one, or a boyfriend or a dad that lives nearby, so I have to do these things for myself. Fortunately, I'm good with tools.

Well theres several places that already have holes rilled. Sense this saber I have is just for looks and no EL blade that won't be a problem. So I guess I'll have to go off to a hardeware store to find the size.

My EL saber is from Rob at RLSA. Back just before Halloween last year, I was trying to get the Adi Gallia style saber hilt machined locally for the wife's Shaak Ti costume. I couldn't get it done for the price range that I had specified. Actually, I couldn't even get close. The next thing I did was to look over Rob's selection. What I found was quite similar to the Adi Gallia style - not perfec, but it completely works for what I needed. Here's the Adi Gallia style: And here's the saber I bought - plus(!) it had been on the site for a while and he gave it to me at "sale price" - which was $50! Truth be told, I did make some more purchases from him - about 6 covertec clips & knobs and the blade holder for the EL blade. I really liked doing business with Rob, he was very pleasant to deal with and quick to ship. All of our transactions took place with Paypal - everything was so easy.

Do people mostly design their own hilts or just pick one from the gallery? There's so many to choose from except I can't spend more than $50-75. If any of you did get from the gallery, which ones did you get?

From what I understand he makes only a one of a kind model and then sells them. Some look similar but their not

Yes, for the most part, Rob does make one-of-a-kind hilts of his own design and sells them. That way, he has what is on the site in stock. Although I'm sure if someone wanted a similar style, he may be able to replicate it.
I'm sure if you were willing to wait for him to make it for you, you could possibly submit a design...

Ive asked rob once before if he could make a personal hilt off a design and he never replied back with it.
