RLSA was the first saber hilt I ever purchased and I love it! I've had it for over two years now. Service was great, Rob was very nice. Yes you have to pay extra for a covertec knob and clip- but I already had one. Rob was nice enough to drill the hole and include the screw for the knob at no extra charge.

How heavy is the lightsaber? Does it put a lot of strain on your belt?

It's probably at least a pound or two- so if you have a thin belt it will probably make it sag.
I made my own jedi belt so I knew it had to be pretty sturdy to hold the covertec clip and lightsaber.

I know for a fact I am going to get another saber from him. I have already asked a question for one thats there. Though I am debating if I want an EL blade with it. I may wait till jan for that when I get a third from him

i wouldnt get the EL kit for RLSA, go for the LED kit if u want something, its alot brighter and more realistic, even though its more.

I wouldn't get EL blades from RLSA, for sure, since they are made from acrylic, and not polycarbonate, which is much stronger.
Hmm, I wonder if they'll sell just the LED kit by itself?

According to the website, it appears that they can only be purchased with one of his sabers and not sold separately as a kit.
I wonder if I sent mine back, if he could install a kit? I would love mine to be a working saber! ;D

It depends on the saber. What it's made out of and if it disassembles.
You need to have enough room for the components in the first place. Then there needs to be holes drilled for screws to hold the blade and other parts, and for the switch.
Unless the emitter end of the saber is already at 3/4" for the blade, you need some kind of blade holder, female mono jack, inverter to power the EL wire, switch and 9V battery holder.
