At D*C we were told by Mary Franklin during a nice presentation about upcoming SW stuff that the A&E special would be airing soon. If you can wait until you get your SW DVD set, you can watch the full 2 1/2 hr. version of "Empire of Dreams".

At ComiCon Steve Sansweet talked about this. It will be even longer on the DVD. If I now understand my notes correctly, the A&E program was to have been 90 min (Tivo said it was 2 hours....but that may have been for commercials as I haven't watched it yet) and the DVD will have over 2.5 hour documentary.

I saw part of it last night, but I'm going to do what Calaveylon is doing. Get the Trilogy DVD set and see it on that. No commercials.:-D and I can pause it if I need to.

I watched it last night, it was two hours with commercials. It was excellent, I can't wait to see the whole thing on the OT DVD.

It was a fantastic documentary. It showed me how much I really don't know about what went into making SW. I'm not sure if I was the only one, but I got a distinct sense that SW had a very rocky start and came very close to not even happening at all!

I got the same impression Laan. Thank goodness it did happen. Geez, can you imagine where or how our lives would be without it? Ok, that be going a little too far, but you see my meaning.

still can't believe I missed it...that's ok... I am going to the local official "Midnight Madness" for the DVD on Monday night...and took Tuesday off work...I know that I will be going home after MM and watching...
1) the end of ROTJ to see what Anakin's "spirit" looks like...
2) the entire special features disk...
I know I will not be able to go to sleep till I watch that stuff...
