Did anyone see the photo of Ewan McGregor on the cover of the French Star Wars Magazine?
It is a great photo of Obi-Wan's costume for Episode 3....
boy.....with the brown turtleneck....and the hair and beard....he really IS starting to look a little like Alec Guiness.....
amazing what a little re-arranging of things can do!

I liked Obi-Wan with the longer hair, too. I see that he is slowly changing his tunics to the Old Ben style from ANH.

I vote for the longer hair too.... but the shorter hair and the trimmed beard make him look a little older......thus starting to make the transition.....to the look of Alec Guiness....
yes...you can see his new saber pretty good in that shot too....starting to look a little more "A New Hope"....
neat.....

Yeah I liked the Ep. 2 look better. This look is transitioning more towards the older Alec Guiness look. Makes him look older.
One question: What happens to Obi-Wan's mole? (Ewan McGregor has a mole in the middle of his forehead, Alec Guiness does not.) Do the winds of Tatooine sandblast it away?

I was watching "A New Hope" a few days ago and was studing Ben's tunci design. he DOES have tabbords and an Obi. I saw the tabbord ends move when he moved from standing in front of Luke to sit in a chair. Then a second or twol ater he feels Alderaan's citizens die.
I do like his tunics design. I can probably do it, but one problem, I'm a short female. LOL

Since I have long hair...I vote for Obi Wan's look in Episode II...lol
But seriously, I do like the look that they've gone for in Episode III, since it is a good blend of the Original Trilogy and the Prequels.
A lot of the look of the Prequels seems so different to many, but it's simply a matter of timing...the fact that the story is being told now, as opposed to twenty years ago. Imagine what "The Terminator" would have looked like if it was done in the 70's.
But, I digress. Obi Wan's look for Episode III is a good fall back to the Original Trilogy, both in the advent of a darker undertunic (albeit of a different style than "Old Ben's") ... but I'm espescially happy to see the original Graflex style saber. The covertec attachment is good to see on it to (once again due to more modern materials and methods...I don't expect that there will be an explanation as to the transition between the covertec and the original D-ring attachment...just a "new vision" of an old design).

Possible explainaition for the D ring instead of the covertec. After a while of use the protable belt charge port got lost and or damaged beyound repair, But the regular charge station is intact.(One you'd have at home.) D-Ring is there to keep the saber on.
I do have a D-ring and a covertec clip on my belt sicne I usually carry acouple of sabers. Down side of the D ring, it's hard to get the saber off.

too true......
I have a Convertec set up on my home-made saber...and a d-ring and clip set up for my Park's....but I mainly use the Parks...my own is waaaaay heavy.....
and you can really look impressive by zipping your saber off of the convertec in one smooth motion...
;D
