I saw Cats in london, back when it still had all of it's original cast. This trip I went to see "We Will Rock You" again, long story, not really, my other obsession is Queen. The theatre where I'm working is currently playing "Sight Unseen" with Laura Linney, it's a fairly good play and has just been extended a few weeks.

Well I probably won't be in England, but it depends on the exact dates. What is this special event?
Otherwise have you ever been to Jedi Con in Basildon?
Costumes? Would you be interested in a very similar textile to Obi-Wans's costume? I found some near my home, very difficult to get, but at the last convention I went to, the few actor who had seen the original costume thought it was perfect. It is beige with ripples, quite thin though. Let me know...

Well thats possible. For my costume I used double thickness plus a third cheap one to give it weight. It comes 120cm wide. It is around 14CHF, $11 - $12 per meter. As you are in the states, I would need to send it to you. If you or anyone else are interested E-Mail me with your details... I'let you know then what can be done. It took me five month to find it. It is quite special, I couldn't even find it in England.

Hi there!!! I am new to this forum... I am from Chile... I am devoted to Samurai, Templars and of course to Jedi, maybe a sequel of both mentioned before... I want to make my own Jedi costume, Ben Kenobi“s style, so, if anybody can give me a little help, I will be very much appreciated... Thanks, and hope to be an active member here... Bye.

Welcome ObiOne, you also want to be OB1, : ((...! That great, he's the best!! I have just finished my Obi Wan EPiii look costume. Got all the proper stuff, saber clip, food pelets...got a friend to make me the the buckle in metal, the one I've got now is in resin. There's always something to do... Which style exactly were you thinking about, TPM, AOTC, ROTS or ANH? There are plenty of tips in the Jedi Costuming area. You can also leave me a message or E-Mail me if you want specifics about my costume...I do lots of sawing.

Greetings Sim Fisto & Obi One, Welcome to TJA and The Outer Rim Order. The costume forums will probably be able to answer most of your questions and give you a lot of help with info on the costumes, if you have a question & need personalised help, post the question in the Costume Forum that it is related to, and we'll get back to you as quick as may be. Same for props, such as lightsabres & food capsules etc. But above all, have a good time here & come post often, we're friendly and very active on our boards. Hey Corja, where've you been? we've missed you around here. By the way Sim & Obi1, "Watch Out for that Marshmallow!"

Well, actually not, see I might only be able to come one, perhaps two days...I haven't booked the flight yet, but I must be back home on the Sunday evening... If I can only make it, one day it would already be worth the trip, but it would become tricky if I were to help... If only I lived in the Sates, I would have helped in any way I could.

Hmmmm, Depends on what airline you fly, some only have 1 or 2 flts. a day, usually in the eve. for morning arrival, can you get in early on Monday morning? Well, you should at least make most of 3 days, I think it starts on thurs, but I might be wrong? There's no pressure to volunteer, just sounds like it will be fun, and there are some perks to it. I'd start checking the flights to Indy pretty soon. I suspect that flts. in will be booked pretty heavily, and pretty rar in advance. We just got another new member from the UK today, checkout the welcome threads. I think Brit Air probably has the most flights or maybe Continental ( a US airline).

Well I have checked the flights, but not booked them, American airlines seems to be the cheapest. I am starting a new formation as a decorator and I do no know yet how it'll go, I start it and see if I can afford missing two or three days in April, I do not want to mess up my studies. I had planned missing two days school, like thursday, friday and be back on monday. I could, if this school seems ok, miss wednsday as well. It's a tricky one, but a Jedi can manage a situation like this? Can't he?
