I have heard about and seen a picture in various books about a scene where Qui Gon and Obi Wan sneak away down to Naboo in Ep. I with the Trade Fed army. Obi's lightsaber gets wet or something and Qui Gon lectures him about it....
does anyone know about this scene? Was it cut? Where can one view it? Does anyone have the story about it?

It was in the video game jedi power battles,or one of them for playstaion I can't remember which.It was supposed to be in the deleated scenes,but Lucas probably didn't think it was necessary

It was in the novel, but not the movie... we doesn't affect lightsabers, remember Obi-Wan fighting Jango in the rain in Ep. 2?

I am trying to find any scenes shot or more pictures of it. I see there is a pic of Qui Gon holding Obi's lightsaber in the Vis. Dictionary. Anyone know more about this scene?

It was in the novel, but not the movie... we doesn't affect lightsabers, remember Obi-Wan fighting Jango in the rain in Ep. 2? if I remember properly a saber has to be built specifically to not short out in water. As to Obi's in Ep II, rain evaporates fast enough that a short doesnt happen. |

Lightsabers are affected by submersion,unless you have one designed fro water like Kit Fisto in Clone Wars,but his homeworld is completely underwater.Obi left a sort of a valve opened on his saber letting water in

the scene was "echoed" in EP.II when Obi1 gives Anakin a similar "talk" outside the bar when they are after the assasin/shapeshifter.

Obi-Wan's lightsaber getting wet was more of an issue of it getting submerged than simply wetting wet. Something along the lines of him tripping into a puddle on Naboo causing a short more than it being on and the water hitting it. |

The scene was in the comic book version of TPM... Obi tries to ignite his lightsaber but it gets wet and he can't, and that's why he's running from the blaster fire instead of deflecting it when he meets up with Qui Gon.

Exactly! That's the picture. So, judging from that pic they obviously filmed a scene where Qui Gon scolds Obi for leaving the valves open thus causing his lightsaber to short out.
Is this scene available anywhere??? I would love to see it!!!

I've also heard some buzz that this image was photoshopped. It's an image from a fansite, if you read the fine print.
