In ep 2 when yoda was meditating when anakin was killing the tuskin raiders yoda could hear Qui-gon yelling to anakin " anakin anakin" "NOOOOOOOOO" but I did not hear it in the movie, and then I read somthing that said it was him in the movie.

Yes it is there, you hear it as the camera first goes from Anakin to Yoda, then Mace windu enters and asks what's wrong. It was done with sound bytes from EPI.

My question is, was it Qui-Gon saying NOOOOO? It certainly didn't sound like him. Solorad and I disagree on this point. He thinks its Qui-Gon, and I think it's Anakin. I don't remember hearing Qui-Gon saying no like that anywhere in EpI. Though they could have altered his voice easily enough. Does anyone know?

I don't know for sure, but I don't think it was QG's voice saying "Nooooo!"

I haven't seen EpII since it first came out, so I don't remember what he sounded like. But they could have taken the sound bytes from parts of the movie (EpI) that never made it to the screen, couldn't they?

tossing in 2 credits... Yes....I read that was Qui-Gon's voice and it has something to do with the controversy about why Qui-Gon's body did not just disappear when he died in PM....
Something about when Yoda heard Qui-Gon's voice in his head saying Noooooooooooooo it lead to some revelation about what happens when a Jedi dies....
I really wish I could remember more. Supposedly this also is to be covered in Ep III

Well....here is the answer ...it was Qui-Gon www.starwars.com/community/askjc/ben/askjc20020701.htmlEyes and ears can play tricks on a person I guess...the minute I heard "Anakin"....I knew it was Qui-Gon....yet others did not hear it the same way.... thank goodness my hearing is ok...I can't see anything!

[glow=navy,2,300]I got a theory. Maybe 2. I think that we don't see Qui-Gon disappear and/or help Anakin has something to do with him becoming Vader. But I can't really put this into words. Like dead Jedi can't come back to help Jedi with unpure hearts? Or something like that. It could be many things with Luke, like the fact that he was the last hope, or the fact that he was pure (and whiney) of heart. . . things like that. We'll make sense of it in a few years but that seems like a decent educated guess. [/glow]
And staying on the topic. It is definitely Qui-Gon who yells Anakin's name. (which was either moved film to film or redone by Liam Neeson) But the "No!". . .? Kinda sounds like Anakin. . .kinda sounds unhuman. . . Hard to tell.

Got it Czuco. I don't think that the "Noooo!" sounded like QG either. But according to Ben, it is. Oh well. And flash-- Leia was their last hope. And, yeah, it's all QG's fault! In 3 days he managed to screw up the entire galaxy! lol! Read the thread about the Jedi names. Makes some sense, doesn't it?

[glow=navy,2,300]Well, yes, everyone knows that, but for the sake of the storyline we'll use Luke because Leia isn't considered the "hero of the galaxy" because Luke and vader overthrew the Empire. (mostly Vader) Whatever. [/glow]

The Qui Gon voice in EPII is done w/ sound bytes, says LIam Neeson in an interview, I think it was on Letterman. The "NOOOO!" almost sounds more like Obi Wan's voice, but BB says that it is Qui Gon, so I take his word for it. Qui Gon is not in the final sequence in ROTJ either, I think perhaps the Jedi will learn the way from Qui Gon, though he may not do it himself, it does not seem as if all Jedi do this anyway, perhaps only those with very pressing, unfinished business.

Quote: vader overthrew the Empire
Actually Vader threw over the emperor. A little play on words, meaning he threw the emperor over basically. I think the unpure jedi heart no ghostie thing is correct. Luke probably had an impure heart when fighting Vader on Cloud City so would get no help from the ghosties.
