Ebonics?  I know I've heard that word before, but the meaning always escapes me. What is it?

Yeah man, like, I know what you mean, Nova.  ;D  When I was in high school, the whole Valley Girl thing started, and boy did that get me MAD!!  Sheer stupidity!  As for Eubonics, I really don't have a good explanation for it.  I guess the purpose was to teach children "street" language, meaning the language that was being spoken in real life.  At least, that was the idea.  Bad one too, in my opinion.  Maybe Nova can give you a better explanation!!

I give kids books whenever I can too Nova.  When my nieces were born, I immediately started giving them books.  I joined a book club for kids books, and just started giving them to them whenever I had the chance (They live 4 states away...but not for long  ;D).  My sister-in-law told be that I was their major book source, and to keep them coming.  The older one really likes books, though I don't think she's started reading yet.  I'm not sure about the younger one, but if she doesn't like books, I'll do what I can to change that!!

Last time I checked, the eldest niece liked SW, but she was too young for SW action figures.  We did get her a Queen Amidala doll though, which she really liked!!  I'm going to invite her to my house when AOTC comes out on DVD and see if she is still interested.

I think the Jedi(except for Anakin) did a great job in AOTC, but Padme was NO GOOD . Come ON! Yeah, she had an excuse to wear all of those crazy clothes in TPM, but now she doesn't(still keeps wearing them though ). I agree with Shoshana about OB1.
