You like me you really like me!
I have no clue when it is coming. They have to work it into there time. They are pretty busy with other prop building and movies from what they tell me. I will indeed post pics.
It didn't come off as being bad at all. I told my wife wife and she was far from being "excited." She just rolled her eyes and said woo hoo. Just like that too. Woo hoo. Not to be confused with WOO HOO! The more I think about it, it was more like woo hoo... Yep, that's it.

I am happy for you getting a new robe. ;D And you should tell your wife she should be happy that you're into being a Jedi instead of a stormtrooper. White plastic i$ expen$ive I hear.
Well maybe not the plastic but once they get the plastic then they need a whole lot of extras to go with it.

My wife is not into SW. She sees it as something childish. What really made her upset is when I told her I will be shaving my head to be Darth Maul for Halloween. It was pretty funny. She said "you are NOT going to glue those stupid horns on your head again, are you? Remember what happened last year? Do you want to go to the hospital again?" Right about there is when I tuned her out. From there all I heard was blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...
She really is a great person, though. I wouldn't trade her for anything.

AZ, what did you glue them on with? Or did you just forget the remover? Last year on Halloween night, just before we closed, a guy came in a begged us to trust him for the cost of a bottle of remover for his demonic appliances,(he'd used our pro-line,which isn't coming off, without it) he'd run out and didn't have his wallet with him, he'd left it at his office before going out. We all remembered him as he was a fun customer, and bought a lot, so the boss loaned him the remover and he was able to go to work the next day, he's a bank president, could you just see him going into work in tha demon makeup?

AZ, I'm delighted to hear you have your Robe on order and will look forward to seeing the entire Jedi garb.
I admit that I, too, am curious about last year's hospital trip. I also hope that you do not repeat it this year.
Nova....that's hilarious. Bank Pres goes to work looking like a demon....or maybe that's justice?

As I dabble in other costuming venues..I too have heard and seen some horror stories in trying out new 'things'.
Luckly, my hubby is very understanding. I bought him a button at the last Dragon*Con that reads.
"It's a mixed marrage. Im human, and she's a KLINGON."
HEHEH he wears it when he decides to follow me to a con.
Good luck with your robe!

Well, it's very much like the bank pres. Only I thought I could just pop them off. I had a friend of mine make me some horns. I have to say they are great horns. Great sculpt work, great paint job. Anyway, I pulled three off with no problems. When I went to pull the top ones off, they were glued a little too good. I pulled two of them off, one in each hand, huge chunks of skin came off. It felt like they were glued on with super glue. Blood started flowing down my back, my face, ON THE CARPET! Carpets can be cleaned, I was just happy that I took my costume off before I did it. My wife, I'll call her "G, " ran to get something to put on my head. Luckily my brother was over. We went to a party together. He's a firefighter/EMT paramedic kinda guy. He looked at it and suggested we go to the hospital. While we were trying to get into the truck, he was taking pics of the mess, my head, and G's face. He was laughing the whole time. So, 184 stiches later, lots of Advil, I invested in prosthetic (not sure on spelling) adheseve remover. But I look at the bright side. I saved the hospital a step and money. My head was already shaved so they wouldn't need to use a $55 razor and a $78 can of foam.
That's my Halloween story of last year.

It sounds like you did use super glue. We have some really powerful adhesives at work, some of which we won't sell if they don't buy the remover at the same time, those are pro stuff that we keep for the guys who run in from a film/tv shoot and need it for an emergency. Most of the people just get the regular stuff. But OUCH! That had to hurt.
