The large group TJA photos (Celebrations & Dragon*Con) are just spectacular when every one is dressed in the tans and browns of Jedi.

As the saying goes... there is a time and place for everything. TJA is the place for tans and browns, and otherwise screen accurate costumes.
No disrespect whatsoever is directed toward anyone who's costume ideas are different. It's all wonderfully expressive!

Ive read the posts and I understand the arguments on both sides and I still love "Grey" but to conform (not a bad thing) I will still have my browns, tans, etc ;D I can always have a non canon outfit to wear one day Just not at Official functions. Just keep watching the expanded universe and one day you never know

The expanded universe has some fantastic costumes. I love the ones from the Knights of the old republic comics!

Personally, I really like the browns. They make us very recognizable as Jedi to pretty much everyone. But, I also really enjoy all the variety and uniqueness (is that a word?) of those who choose to make their own completely individual interpretations. Creativity is a very wonderful thing, too! I'll probably do something totally of my own in the future sometime.

Right! And everyone needs to understand that just because we don't accept some of those types of costumes for official membership, that doesn't mean we don't appreciate them. Many of us have alternative costumes--- healers, colors, personal characters, etc... But browns and tans are the Jedi colors that define our club. Aside from the the Luke, Bariss, Luminara, Shaak Ti, etc., variations, it's our "look".

Right. I have two sets of brown graphic print fabric tabbards and obis that are non-standard. I'm also making blue healer tunics for D*C.

I'll get around to it eventually. Takes more time to look up everybody's saber color than it does to light up the pic. ~ K 2

Hey, now, you're stepping on toes.... As I like to say, my hair is the same color it was, it's just not the same color it is!
