Razor opened his eyes wide as pain seared threw his entire being. There was only a moment that passed as Razor fell and breathed his last.
Dearith snarled as his eyes flickered to his fallen apprentice. It was a waste but he would find another and much more worthy apprentice.
"You may have killed My apprentice, but I will have another.. perhaps even the child in her womb." A cruel smile played across his lips as he felt the tingeling of power prick his kneck.
Mephitso let the power build in him. He was the dragon in the storm. Its fire in his very veins as he gripped his staff, oblivious to the blood on the end. Aerith heard a call to bring her back from the edge of darkness. her head hurt as she opened her golden eyes. instantly she smelled blood as she felt the anger between the two combantants. Amidst the thunder she could hear the feint yells of the people.
"MEPHITSO!!! STOP."
Aerith Yelled with all the energy and power she held. there was too many lives at stake. Even if he could manage to take Daerith, what would be the cost?
Mephitso felt Aerith cal him to stop. it was more then words as he glared at his enemy.
"I would listen to her... you wouldn't want to harm anyone else here...." Daerith glowered with deliet in his eyes.

The young sith male imeaditly calmed the comming storm. At much pain to himself as he did. mephitso's body shuddered with waves of pain. It was enough to let Daerith escape.
"Another time and you both will be mine..." His cold eyes stung like a shap knife as he looked over at Aerith. Mephitso made to move against him but in a blink of his eye the man was gone.
"Wha-?" Mephitso started, but decided against it as he went over to his long time friend and now ti-shan. He carressed the sides of her face as Aerith took her own to touxh his hands. The body of Razor lay a few feet away from her forgotten as guards and other citizens of the high temple ran up, leaving the unexplained questions for later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daerith had used a simple trick. A good use for making his body speed up faster then normal, allowing the lower beings to beleive he had disapeared. Though this time he had to cloud his escape a bit more.
"I shall have my vengence.." He whispered to himself, making his way back to his ship. The loss of his apprentice was regreatable and it will now be more difficult to take what he wanted by force. A wide scale genocide took years to prepeare. Something he didnt have here. While he was still very powerful there wee the small group of Jedi that he knew of. Best to keep his small army hidden until the time would come to unearth his true plot...
CHAPTER 18
Aerith complained that she was ok and able to walk back, but Mephitso wouldn't have it. His anger hadn't subdued, but there would be time for a recourse of action. The new Priestess was carried gently ahead of him as a few handmadins placed Aeirths Helper ceramounsly onto a streacher. There were many in the streets now. Men, women and children who stared; many offering prayers to the Goddess for protectiong their new leaders and to lead the Helper to the promised hevan they all believed so much.
"My lord?" One of the Zabrak Guards stepped up to him. He was armed and looking a bit nervous as his yellow eyes flickered to the crowd. Mephitso never turned as he took a deep breath and answered him.
"We are safe for tonight.. but now I fear The Preistest and I have endangered you all..." he didnt even have to turn to see the reaction the guard had. He felt it. The Man was confused, amazed and worried all at once.
"Sir.. as head of security I should know... what are we facing?" His voice was monottone as they reached the steps. Already Aerith was inside to be looked at by the local physican. The young Priest stopped and turned, muscles flexing. The staff making a lite tapping sound. Guards had already pushed the people back to their homes for the night.
"As you know, I and Aerith are not the same as the people here..." he bagan. The guard nodded as his eyes fixated on his leader.
"The planet we came from was attacked. We were but children then. Aerith and I are the last of our kind and the Goddess lead us here. Somehow she was and is apart of both our cultures." He paused as he noticed the guard take in the new information.
"How does-" He started. mephitso cut him off and continued, leaning on his staff as if an old man.
"As you know we were taken in here. Clothed, taught and became on of you. But we are not. To answer your question I do not really know what we are up against. As I sai we were children. yet this man harnnesses more power then I have.." He siged as he closed his eyes. The guard only stood there, breathing soft as he looked around.
"From now on there will be double the guards. Whatever this man has done will not happen again. You are one of us." With that he saluted mephitso, turned on a heel and left him.
In a way he wasn't suprised. This culture had taken them both in when noone else would have. Yet the Goddes had decreed that they would do her will. Was this what she wanted? The Priest made his way back up the steps and was greeted by two more armed guards. He had to go to Aerith. that was on his mind. Then the plans would be made to defeat this enemy. Only then would perhaps the loved ones from the past could rest easliy.
Daerith swiftly made his way to where his personnal shuttle was. His eyes darkened as the guard and pilot came foward with a slight bow. The man was terrified and with good reason.
"m-my lord?" He stammered in a small voice. The man was nothing more then a slave. Dressed in an red and black uniform and armed with only a firing weapon. Daerith snarled savagely and flexed his right hand. The man instantly clawed at his throat, eyes buldging as he gagged and went to his knees as he tried to stammer out a pathtic apology.
"I am not to be disturbed..Is that clear." It was an order and one that all followed or else lead to pain and or even death. he released his hand and strod past and up the ramp, his boots clanging with power and glee as he ignored the mans feeble attempt to answer back.
With Razor defeated other plans would have to be made.Or would it? Daerith stopped partway down the small hall. The boy had only struck Razor down. There may still be a chance that he could restore his apprentice. The chance was slim, but it was better then trying to take the time to find another apprentice...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mephitso made his way down the marbled hall. His eyes darted to the many statues and painted tiles that he had seen so often. With a heavey sigh he knew there was going to be a difficult future ahead. In the end both he and Aerith were nothing more then peices on a large board game controlled by the unknown forces of the galaxey. The young preist slowed his pace as his left hand shifted to grabe his staff. The smell of blood still lingered from where he stabbed Razor. A thought occoured that noone had bothered to take his body. Then again Mephitso was sure the man was dead.
'No matter...someone will see that the body is disposed of'
He continued down the hall and was greeted by noone. Just as well, for th only thought was on their new preistess. Mephitso continued on and made his way to their room. A few guards were already posted by the doors and nodded at him as he enterd. Inside Aerith was already laying in the bed.
"Mephi.." She whispered, as she turned her head to greet him. Her golden eyes held fear. fear for not just them and their unborn child, but for the people they had come to love as family. The Helpers left them without saying a word. In time the new threat would be dealt with. What was important was the saftey of Aerith. "Im here Aerith." he said softly as he took only a few strides to make it to her side. Placing his staff aginst the wall he nealt and placed a soft hand on her chin lovengly. He regarded her lovly horns and traced her face and tattoos.
"Mephi.. we're not safe." She whispered as she tried to sit up. He gently held her down with his other hand, not stopping his gentle touch that only moments ago had defended them.
"I know. then againg we knew one day that the darkness would find us again. Tha fact that we had this long of peace was a gift." He leaned down and kissed her gently. As he sat back up Aerith regarded him with thoutfulness.
"I know. Yet what are we to do now?" She asked as she closed her eyes. Mephitso only sighed as he sent gentle vibes to relax her even further.
"I'm not sure. But the Goddess herself said we would do her will. We shall fight and bring back the glory of our family and people." He whispered as she fell asleep. mephitso stood and waked over to the balcony. The evening stars were beginning to show in the cool evening sky. A light breese came up carressing him as he stared up at the stars.
"Goddess give me the strength to protect the ones I love and bring justice to the one who has defield all our people." He whsipered and then closed his eyes. If the Goddees heard him, she didnt answer. Only the stars shined down with their light.

CHAPTER 19
The body of Razor lay in an almost twisted form as the night covered the once battelfeild. His eyes were closed as the sand around him was coated with blood. The servent of Daerith was dresed in the same colored pattern as he went to his knees. white paled hands touched cold skin on the body of the formar apprentice. Brown dulled eyes from years of wretched slavery took the spark of life that once held the human form. He had no name anymore as far he was concerned. Just a number in the endless sea of death and slavery. Takng his hand to razor's throat he checked for a pulse. It was there, very weak and growing dimmer as the blood from the wound spilled outward. There wasn't much time.
"If my lord finds out I let him die..." He shuddered and took out a healing patch to stop the blood. Assuming Razor would even survive the trip back to the ship and fleet that was gathering. He noticed that where razor was stabbed it was a mortal wound. Once apon a time the slave had been a very well known medical doctor.
"he should have been dead by now..." He whispered as the wind picked up. he had to hurry. The will to survive must havd been higher in this man. Or mabey it was a figment of his imaganiation? No matter he had to bring Razor back. Quickly he slipped an arm aroundthe man's shoulders and lifted him up. His knees buckled but he held firm as he begain to half carry, half drag the man back towards the ship.

The moment Razor was brought on board Daerith made his way to the small medical hold on the ship. Already they were on their way back to his command ship. The man that had brought Razor in was attaching other medical equipment when he entered.
"My lord.. I do not know how he is still alive..." He started and stopped suddenly when Daerith looked coldy at him. A few monoters beeped warnings of Razirs irrigular heart beat, as he looked at the wound. By all means the man should be dead. His liver and stomach where ran threw from where the staff had enterd.
"Call ahead for the medical staff to have ready the bacta tanks and other needs.." He growled. The man didnt even hesitate as he left the room, leaving him alone with Razor.
"You careless fool. By all means I should let you die. yet I still have uses for you. If you live threw this I have other plans..." The man curled his lips into a cruel smile. Of course Razor would live. The power and will of evil kept him alive and now that boy would surly pay for ruining his plans.

Above the planet of Iridona the smalle cruiser made contact to Daerith's fleet. As of the moment there were only three command ships in orbit. That would soon change. The ships command medical center was plasterd in whte walls. Moniters of all kinds blinked on and off as readings gave med droids and staff results for the wounded. Razor lay on one of the white slabs. A tube stuck down his throat for breathing. His torn and bloody clothes were now replaced with a white tunic and bottoms. Ten hours the man was laced in a bacta tank and still he hadn't awoken. The slow rise and fall of his chest was the only other indacation that it wasn't a corpse that lay on the table.

Razor, in the bacta tank for several hours already was recovering nicely from his wounds. Medical droids and Daerith's most trusted doctors monitored the patient's rising health. It was only a little way now until Razor would be removed from the tank.
The medical ward door hissed open. From the hall came the infamous figure of Dark Lord Daerith, his boots sounding heavy on the floor, his cloak swirliong behind him. A dissapointed face was upon his maw. And as he came up to the bacta tank, he reached out his hand, and began to choke his apprentice.
Razor...you have failed me again! Why?! He yelled at him telepathically.
Razor, able to speak through telecommunication now, sent back, weakly a reply. His hands were around his neck as if to pry off hands that weren't there, in a desperate but futile attempt.
It's not my fault master! I tried my best, but the boy was too strong! He was too fast!
Daerith's eyes seemed to glow in red hatred at the pathetic response Razor now gave.
"Then I should kill you now..."
Venom spat out in cold words, breaking rythmetic readings of the machines.

Daerith increased his grip, and in a few seconds, in the tank, Razor's neck snapped. Then the body just floated, dead in the liquid, it's fallen forward.
Daerth commanded the occupants to clean the pathetic mess up, shattering a few medical unit's data boards as he did so. The remaining ones did as they were told, and Daerith walked back out of the hospital wing, and down the hall.
'Now more than ever I'll need to take that child...' He thought.

CHAPTER 20
The death of his apprentice was nothing to the man that walked down the halls. Razor was was very powerful.
"His ignorance was what killed him.. Blinded him.."
Daerith's light blue eye's flickered up ahead in the dark halls. A small droid sped by unaffected by any emotions. Noone bothered to come up to him. Just as well, for his mood was vile at the moment.
I will have that child.. and the death of the last of the Sith....
Even now Daerith's fleet was slowly assembeling around him. While it wasn't what he had liked, some things had to remain unseen in the planets outter system. He didnt need the few travelers that came to aleart of an assembeling fleet....

As his words faded into the darkness so did his restlessness. Mephitso found himself drowsy and unable to keep his eyes from fluttering shut.
The young Sith dreamed. Waves of colors formed on the edge of a vast lake, as waves crashed gently aginst the white sands. it was almost too bright for the eyes of a normal being. Mephitso found himself dressed in a long elagent black robes. His staff still the same, yet as he turned his head the Sith found himself starign at the mirrior image of the lake!
"What is this??" His voice rang out. it echoed across the waters and faded into the light as a gentle breese swept up smelling of ocean salts and rosemerry.
I have heard and seen what is once again happening to my children.
A familiar voice filled the air and wrapped Mephitso around him. His yellow eyes opening wide.
"My Goddess.." He started and went down to one knee, lowering his head so his crown of horns shown in the bright light.
Mephitso, I have seen what there was and is to come. the path wich you lead on will not be easy. Dangers and trials unlike that which you have seen await for you
The goddess seemed to give a hint of saddness in her voice as the words melted their way to the young boy. Mephitso raised his head, blinking as his proud tattoos shown for all their glory.
"I am yours to command. You have let me and my beloved live this long..." His voice trailed off.
I can only guide you young one. For you and Aeirth are my choosen ones. You will restore my people and help defeat the evil that has tainted the Earth here.
"My Goddes has spoken such words before to me as a child.. how??"

You already have what you need....Your strenght grows and for many years it will continue. Even after all you have loved is long gone..
Mephisto shook his head, not really understanding. He wanted to ask another question. For the Goddess seemed to answer only in riddles this time. Yet once again Mephitso couldn't get in an answer for he was lifted up off the sands and blown away........

Mephitso opened his eyes to find himself laying on the floor. The sun was just starting to rise in the horizon, giving off an orange glow. The vision, still fresh in his mind played over over a few times as he sat up breathing heavely. Licking his lips, the young Sith could swear he tasted the salt from the dream. Or.. was it a dream? Looking over towards th bed he saw that Aerith was still fast asleep. Her long hari drapped over her shoulders as a few of her long pointed horns seemed to glow from her lovley face.
"What am I to do?" He whispered, standing slowly.
For now they would be safe. As safe as they could be. Mephitso knew Daerith wasn't far. The death of his apprentice would surly make him act quickly.
'What could he be planning?'
"Mephitso...."

CHAPTER 21
Aerith's voice rose into the warm air. She was sitting up, propped on one elbow, eyeing him softly. Mephitso didnt even hesitate as he made his way to her and went to his knees.
"I'm here.."
The young Prestiess smiled and layed her free hand on his. Yellow eyes sparkeling.
"Mephitso...." She started, pausing as she bit down on her lip. The young Preist smiled warmly, knowing what she was thinking.
"We'll be ok now. Daerith will not make a stupid move. Theres a diffrence here then what we had on our home planet." He sighed as Aerith sat up, pulling the covers closer around herself.
"I know.." Aerith answered back. So much like a small child again to mephitso's eyes. What they mentioned were the mulitude of space traffic. The traders and travelers. If Daerith attacked while there were too many there was a chance help would come. Mephisto squeesed her hand and said his thought.
"Theres a chance that if he does attack that we can get you off here and to Corauscant. I have been hearing rumors of a group called the Jedi having a training academy there. I am sure they would help you..."
