Do we know what the total number of the series will be? JQ had 10, but JA had 18.
The next Last of the Jedi book will be number 8. And amazon has a page for Last of the Jedi #9. It doesn't say anything other than it will be out in December.
Killing Ferus would be awfully depressing for a kid's book. OTOH, Tevor and most of the others are not Jedi and can survive. Possibly to join a new rebel alliance?
I wonder....if Ferus dies, will Obi-Wan or Yoda feel it?

Boba Fett series only had like 6, so Last of teh Jedi could be a very short series too.
Maybe they'll do a Clone Wars or Purge series next

I was wondering about Qui and Dooku's relationship, too! I want to know when he went to the dark side, although you could see it coming when he snuck a look at the holocron.
It's nice to find others who like these books as much as I do! I'm amazed at the depth Jude Watson put into 'kids' books. Hendel D'bu turned me onto them, which in turn led me to TJA!

Only 10 books!!! Say it isn't so! I just love Jude Watson's writing style - so much depth of character. They just can't kill Ferus in the end, I will be so bummed! For sure Obi-Wan would feel it, I think.
Does anyone know if Jude Watson is doing another series after Last of the Jedi?

I have the first six ready to share with my grandson next month when I see him... we read most the JA and JQ (I've read them all). They might be kids' books, but they're really good. Lots of characters in them that fill in the Jedi Order, some story gap fillers, too... like the nest of gundarks incident ;D Of course, I have a real fascination with Jedi to begin with, and these series just feed that!

I am enjoying this series as well. I can't take the NJO books, and these are really well written. I'm glad to hear that #8 will be August-I thought I had read that #8 was December-I must have mistaken it for #9. They have stayed on the every-three-months schedule with all the young adult books so far.

They have stayed on the every-three-months schedule with all the young adult books so far. I don't like most of the NJO, not sure why... I think it's because they don't fit in with the movies very well... maybe it's the time that has passed in between. I don't care for the Legacy of the Force series, although I've read them all... they are "going down a path I can't follow!"

Oh, today's the day - new Last of the Jedi book! I absolutely loved JA and JQ... was sad when I had read them all. Don't mind reading them again, though; they are such quick reads.
Beat ya to Borders...
