Thanks everyone...I will keep you posted. He seems to excell at pushing our buttons so patience is in short supply right now. He didn't mention last night that one of his friends has given up drugs in order to invest his extra cash into hsis gas powered RC car hobby. Apparently he wanted something to show for his money and that he could remember. Maybe this will encourage my brother to do the same.

Guys, I need to request prayer for my mom. She will be losing her health insurance in about 6 months and she doesn't know what to do about insurance after that time. She is self-employed and has to provide for herself. Please keep her in mind. Thanks!

Hi All, Thanks or the encuraging words. I've yet another prayer request to add. Were I' lving there's so much spiritualk oppression and even depression, it's effecting me. I find myself physcially, and emotionally drained. Sometimes having a 'heaviness' or a sadness helpless feeling. I do not like this. I've found a differant place to live and need prayer I'll find a job that had weekends off. I want to be able to go to chuch and such. I need more strength now then ever.

yeah man I will pray for you.
I find that in the times where i am the most drained if I go to my room, cut off the lights, put on some worship music(Jason Upton is Awesome for this) and worship and pray then God's presence comes in and refeshes me. Sometimes I have to get on my face and cry out to Him. During this time I also meditate, not the kind that clears your mind but a focusing of the mind on the things of God.
something u may also wanna try is I think called "palming" you take you hands and set them out away from your body and hold them parallel to the ground palms down. This symbolizes laying down your worries and problems(call them out aloud and tell God your laying them down) then turn your hands over and recieve God's healing, mercy, and grace as a replacment for your pains and sadness or tiredness.

HeavyMetal pastor, That makes serious sense. I do that daily.(I never do the mind emptying meditation anyway.)
I know GOd is the only pertson who can truly fix a problem, but sometimes I need a person to talk to. Not slighting Him, sometiems I wish I can physcially see 'em and tell him what's bothering me.

yeah, we all need to talk to others about or problems big or little.... On thing i hate is this idea of "lone ranger" Christianity.... we arent ment to go it alone.
Even the Jedi traveled in twos. I dont know if Lucas intended it to be this way, but you can even see in nature a such as animals that contact with others of the species is imparative to survival. we are designed to share our thoughts with each other... and for that I am glad.... I need people or I dont make it.

Yep. true. No "Lone Ranger=ing" for me. I never found it logical anyway. However it can be hard to find the right people.

That's interesting. I'd graduated froma Christan college with a couple of B.A.s I had a great church there. Man I miss those guys.:-) I'm in the process now of prowling for a new church family in my area. After I'd graduated , God brought me down to Florida. SO the hunt for a church starts all over again.
