I have a question for everyone. Do you leave your toys and collectibles in the packaging, or do you remove them?
We like to play with and display the stuff we buy, so a lot of it gets removed from the package. We mostly display them. I have always wondered if I should be buying two of everything, so we can display them and collect. What do you all think of that idea? What do you do with your SW stuff?

8) That's a hard one! The really really cool lookin toys I DO NOT OPEN! I try to buy 2 of everything when I can afford it. But mostly I buy one and open it to "Play with it" and then put up for display. That is a tough one though.

I do buy doubles if I intend to open a figure or toy. I kind of got carried away when the POTF II line went on sale for $3.00 each!! Now I have all these extra figures and don't know what to do with them. For Ep II, I will buy just what I want and leave the rest. I will probably get some doubles anyway. It can get expensive, as we all know!! I say, if you can't enjoy and play with a toy, then what's the point? Just open the packages VERY carefully!! ;D

Open some very carefully, not that I intend to part with them but you never know. Some I get 2, some I end up with several, don't ask about the fast food toys from EpI!!! The neatest ones were from Pizza Hut in UK for Sp Ed. Also the UK EpI from KFC, but I had to buy like six chicken meals to get them, but I'm a veggie, so I fed a mess of homeless types all the chicken 'cos they wouldn't sell the toys w/o the meals. Blech!

I always open mine. I'm really too much of a kid to be a collector. Must... play... with... toys! But then, if I got something really collectible, I'd probably leave it in the package. Like those lego sets where you can make a life sized Yoda... I'm not gonna spend $80 so I can lose some of the pieces!

If I ever bought one of those Lego sets, I would HAVE to open it and put it together!! They are just too cool not to. I really want the X-wing and Tie-fighter, but I can't afford them yet! Too busy spending money other figures! ;D

NOT PUT LEGOS TOGETHER??!!!!! THATS UNAMERICAN MAN!!!! ::grabs Equi and shakes him:: How dare you even suggest leaving them in the box! ::comforts lego sets hanging around the computer:: It's alright he didnt mean it..... Great Thnx Equi you got my storm trooper mad at me... He's pointing his gun at me and flicking me off. If he shoots me i'm going to turn Sith side and kill a certain Jedi.... He's already killed Vader. I have no control over him. ::Looks back at legos:: Great, Now I have to negotiate with them...

LOL!!!
I have a Tie-Interceptor that my nephew and I just put together. I was missing a couple of pieces to the Battle droid ship and took it back to TRU. They took it back and let me get another one. ;D Lego's were meant to be opened and put together, my dear Eqin! You can't enjoy it if it is in pieces! Action figures you can, sort of...... But not Legos! One vote for OPEN!!!!

ROTFL I didn't mean that! Of course I open my legos! What I meant was those $80 ones that you have to work to find. That's not a normal toy set, that's a collectible. And if you have a tendancy to loose small pieces, like me...

I finally found it...the Legos set of my dreams!!! Solorad and I found the huge X-wing Lego set that I have been dying to have for the past three years. I finally shelled out the bucks for it. But I can't put it together yet (Solorad has forbidden me ) because we are moving in 3 weeks. That will be one of the first things I do though as soon as I get unpacked. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D

Action figures I usually do not remove from the backing. I buy loose ones on E-bay if I want some to play with...which I have lots. The stuff in boxes, like vehicles and my Destroyer Droid room alarm, most of that I will open and display for a while and then put back in the box. Anything that is just too much of a pain in the a-- to get out of its packaging I will usually leave alone too.
I do need to get some star cases for the action figures though...had them all mounted on the wall with a small nail in each and then when I took all the stuff off the walls to move it to a larger room (gave up my big bedroom to use as the Star Wars room)...I vowed to house all 350 + action figures in their own star case...no more nail holes... let's see.....350 Star Cases at $1.00 each....yikes.....that is an investment in itself.

I just bought the new 12" Deluxe Jange, and I think I'm going to open him!! He's just to cool to not play with. But I will take very good care of him! I'm glad to hear though that Solorad and I aren't the only ones who has hung their figures on the wall with little nails while still in the package ! Yippee, I don't feel so weird anymore!! I will eventually get plastic cases for all of the them, but they are indeed expensive ! I can only afford to get a small number at a time. But I will eventually do it ;D!!

Theres a 12" Jengo Fett!? Where'd you get it!? I have Obi-Wan, Anakin, and a clone trooper. I didn't see Jengo Fett.... I want one.... I've got the 4 from TPM, Maul, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and the battle droid. If you get the chance think you can snag me a Jengo. If i'm going to get them I might as well get all of them. The 12" figures don't look as bad as the action figures.
