GAH! Sorry to hear that. George is right; corporations suck.

Oh, but corporations are people. Yeah, right. Unions have been weakened and there is no loyalty to employees anymore. Sorry you were right, Cal!

Not feeling well today. I have laryngitis. Yesterday I couldn't speak above a whisper. Got some over the counter medication last night though and it seems to be working. I guess I must have picked up the bug from NYCC because it started with a cough a few days after. Next time I'll be more diligent with the hand washing.

My Dad's 90th b-day party went off perfectly! He was so happy and singing and eating and talking to his brother... It was a GREAT day!

Glad to hear the party went well. It's a blessing considering his illness.

From doing events with the 501st, some kids are terrified of Vader and the Storm Troopers. I think it's the helmets. I managed to scare some kids. I dressed in my standard Jedi. I hid behind my life sized Qui-Gon standee. Just as they approached, I jumped out, igniting my lightsaber (that also has sound). A couple girls screamed and screamed. It was fun. There were absolutely no kids in Star Wars costumes this year. I had 100 kids. I estimate only about half wore even an attempt at costume.

We had no Halloween here this year. I didn't bother to buy candy because the kids walk by my door, with my lights on, with my pumpkins illuminated, anyway to go to my next door neighbor's door. The kids walk past my door twice without even knocking on my door. I wanted to go to the local Hannford market in Jedi "just for fun", but had no hot water to bathe before dressing (Jedi are supposed to present a neat, clean appearance, right?).

There is talk of re-scheduling the NYC Halloween Parade, I hope so.
