saw one up close today. almost bought it instanly. took a few moments to see if it was able to be taken apart. noticed that while being better than the ep2 counterpart it still looked very much like a toy and not like a real metal one. the one i looked at was kinda worn i asked the sales person how long it had been on display. he said only like 5-6 weeks. if i were to buy one i thought, it would more than likely get worn that quickly too. to get to the point didn't get one. was i being too picky?

I bought the Vader Ep V saber at a local Toys R Us last month. It is the same weight of the Anakin one (which they were sold out of). It looks like metal to me and I always felt that my Luke Ep V saber was a bit too heavy. Understand that display items (especially a cool thing like a lightsaber) are going to be picked up and swung around by dozens of people every day- so it's no surprise that it would look worn out after a few weeks. You're probably not going to hold it and duel with it every day for 12 hours, so I wouldn't worry about it wearing out fast. The thing that made me decide to buy the Vader saber is this: I asked myself, "If I don't buy it now, will I be upset if I come back later and they are sold out?" My answer was yes- I would feel like kicking myself if I didn't buy one, and then missed out. But you're not being picky, it is an expensive item and it is your money after all.

Just wondering...was the blade removable? That always makes MR lightsabers tough to carry around. I have the Luke Ep IV and it's fun, but inconvenient.

No, the blade is not removable; it's permanently fixed. All MR FX sabers are like that. It's unfortunate, but does keep the cost relatively low considering that most EL sabers with removable blades are in the $250- $400 range.
It also allows for LED technology to be used which creates the realistic power up/ power down effect.

The good news is once the blade dies you can cut the blade off and have another hilt

I now own the Anakin FX saber and boy am I happy with it!!!!! It truly is a nice piece of work. I know that there are some really nice saber recreations on the market, but this one is worth my endorsement. This could become an expensive new hobby.............

I don't know if i like the idea of the FX sabers just being sold everywhere. Makes it less of a collectible and more of a toy that way. I don't know why it bothers me. I guess I don't want a bunch of non-Jedi wielding lightsabers and giving us all a bad name. LOL.

Man I am dying to get my MR FX Ankain EP.III saber. I pre-ordered mine back in April from some MR saler on ebay. He said he wasn't going to get them until May or a month later, then in July he still didn't have them. Then I e-mailed him about 2 or 3 weeks ago to ask where my saber is and he hasn't e-mailed me back. I am kinda to the point where I don't want it anymore I just want my money back and I will put that money to a custom saber from randomsabers. What do you guys think I should do? I just hope to get it really soon so I can finally enjoy it, and have a better substitute than my Anakin EP.II saber.

Contact the seller and ebay and tell them you're sick of waiting, and just want your money back and to cancel the order, and put it towards a custom saber... I hope it works out well for you

I ordered my Anakin ROTS FX back in the end of July through Master Replicas. The only type of delivery date they gave me was "shipping in the Fall". I was very shocked when I received an e-mail from MR about 3 1/2 weeks ago, telling me that my saber has shipped!! Anyway, I received mine from MR about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it!! I also own the Anakin AOTC FX saber and there is quite a difference between the two of them. The ROTS FX is lighter in weight, easier to handle, ALOT brighter, the sound is 10 times better and it's about 2" shorter (which makes it a little easier to carry around when you're as short as I am). Besides, I just HAD to have a saber that has that really cool "power up/power down" light effect! Now...if they would just make an OBI-WAN FX saber!!

Obi-Wan saber would be sweet!! Cha-Al Pesan, report the seller to Ebay and get the process started NOW to get your money back. I do recommend RandomSabers..I'm a RandomSaber wearer myself. And I also now have a FX saber to wield for visuals! I'll also tell you that Wal-Mart.com will soon be carrying the Anakin FX saber's cheaper than you can find in most retail stores and even on Ebay.
MTFBWY!!

Well I sent out my e-mail to the seller and told him I want to cancel my order and I just want my money back. I am going to give him 30 days to return the money if not he is going to get reported.
The very good news is today in the Best Buy ad they had the FX sabers both Anakin and Vaders. So after my soccer game I went and picked up my new Anakin FX saber.I am so excited it looks so awesome and I cant wait to get it. The only bad part is I cant have it until Christmas. But I am just glad I have it. And later on I am going to put an order into randomsabers.
