Olos you are a true master LOL. Granny-Wan if you check around the web, i know ( i dont remember the link ) but there is a forum where they show you stpe by stepf with pictures how to put appart any MRFX lightsabers without damaging. Its a bit a long process, about an hour. but its very easy I know, I've seen some on The Custom Saber Shop forum, but why should I do it myself when he's willing to do it for me? Although I just bought a broken Anakin FX so I'll be taking that apart myself.... this is where the fun begins....

The instructions on that site (Darth Phineas) looks amazing. Thank you for that link, it's much more clear than TCSS.
Apparently Lord Phineas likes to take things apart??? So does my grandson...he's only 6... I see a flash of his future...
I planned on putting the guts back inside if the sound works. I thought some of them might be needed to hold the thing together???
Anything I don't need is up for grabs, Olos... if you can tell me, preferably by picture, what part it is you want... I was going to keep the sound...
I'll know more after I get the thing and get it apart...

Hey I used to take things apart when I was 6... ROFL
once you have decided what is it you keep and what is it you don't, simply post a picture of what's up for grab and I'll tell you what I'd be able to use here - I know I'd like the sensors. Generally, its the blade that breaks, not the electronics.
If you can keep the sound, I strongly suggest you do so. With the combined info from Phineas and TCSS you should be able to use the sound in your hilt - if it works. Its a lot more fun to handle a saber that makes sound then one that doesn't.

LEDs don't all light up... probably the LEDs and not the electronics???
I don't have it yet so I'm not sure... I got it because it looks like Luke's original...close enough, at least...
I'm hoping the sound works, but if not I'll live with it...
It'll be fun to take apart anyway... oops, now I know where Jake got that from... LOL...

Here's the spirit!!
Most likely dead leds in blade, all else functionnal. It is the most probable problem with an FX anyway.

yes. I have another from a diff saber and look about the same. I'll send both and you can decide if you want to tear the batt pack apart.
