Hey everyone. My girlfriend is letting me dress her up as a Jedi for ROTS (even though she isn't a SW fan, but she loves me), so I need to start thinking of a lightsabre design for her. Does anyone have any links to feminine looking lightsabres that I might be able to make? At least something that is quite smoothly designed that flows well. She likes pink, so I am thinking of making one with rose quartz as an exposed focusing crystal.

You could put a pink stone somewhere on the hilt for accent... I have a green jem on mine--- it's covering up an unneccesary switch hole.
Also I've seen a few female Jedi illustrated in the comic books that have interesting lightsabers... more of the organic design.

Hmmm, I don't know what you mean by a feminine design. Lightsabers look pretty uni-sex to me. However, I think the Big Yellow Box Style III is sleek and stylish. It fits really well in my hand and I have small hands -- I wear a size 3 ring on my little finger.

When I say feminine, I guess I mean something that has a flow to its shape, very few if any angles, mostly just curves. I'll keep looking.

Perrin, very nice, sleek lightsaber.
The DarkWoman one is interesting.
The female Jedi we've see so far in the films have lightsabers that don't look much different in form from that of the males.

I definitely like the Dark Woman's sabre. I think I'll make it similar, though maybe not so intricate. That could be quite time consuming, and I won't have access to my dad's power tools until I get home from university at the end of April.

The Dark Woman saber is definitely a more organic design. The other lightsabers on that web site might give you some more good ideas, too. Me, I like all angles and technoilogy for mine.

I was walking around in home depot today looking for other things than this, but I spotted some PVC shaped like Dooku's lightsabre, and thought I could make that look quite feminine. It's the last 2 pics on this page: www.freepichosting.com/Albums/421571937.htmlThe lines show the main areas where I'll cut, then shave the plastic a bit so it looks flowy. The all black areas are where I'll completely remove. I'm inspired by Dark Woman's sabre for sure. I most likely won't use the same purple colour though.

Ok, I showed her what I was doing and she wasn't a fan of the curved hilt, do I'm turning that one into a sabre for me. The flowing pattern will probably look like some Zabrak tatoos, now. But I'll take her with me to Home Depot today or tomorrow to see what she likes.

Perrin Khalon, I like the lightsaber you made for your wife. Simple yet elegant. I like the curved shapes of the cut outs you made in the outer tube.
And I just love what you used for the end cap, with the spiral patterns on it. Where ever did you find such a thing?!
