That's a good looking saber! Who made that? If you don't mind me asking. I've been wanting to get another saber, but all I have is a replica of DM's saber. Rudy G.

Wow... very nice! Looks almost like the one I have except your emitter is more accurate. I'm still looking to get a cap for mine. The emitter has an el blade sized hole even though it is a solid prop.

I'm a little confused. The saber looks wonderful in the close up pictures, but the emitter end is a flat piece. Shouldn't it have a hole for the lightsaber blade? What would a "cap" be? An emitter shroud? Wow... very nice! Looks almost like the one I have except your emitter is more accurate. I'm still looking to get a cap for mine. An emitter shroud? You are a bit confused on which saber is which. The Obi hero saber had no hole in it. The one with a hole is actually one of the stunt hilts. I know Larbel made his with a removable emitter plate and you got 2 emitter ends - one with a hole and 1 without. The hole actually would be good if you are trying to put a blade in, but it is inaccurate for the actual Hero Saber Did that babble help at all? If not, I can try to dig some pics up once I get home tonight (a couple hours from now) Dave

Oh, clear as mud. So, the Obi hero saber has no hole on the emitter end. And the Larbel has two removable emitter ends, one with a hole, one without. What puzzles me is the option that doesn't have a hole in it. It doesn't look right without a hole to me. I've just assumed that all lightsaber emitters have holes. And why would the Hero Saber be inaccurate with a hole? Inaccurate compared to what? Have I missed something in the movies?

Both the hero versions of TPM Obi Wan and Qui Gon had no hole in the emitter plates. I agree they look better with a hole but that is not accurate. Some collectors go for the most extreme accuracy which is cool since that is their thing.......as for me, I have both in hero versions and both in working EL. I have much more fun with the EL and only use the heros for displays.

I'm not a fan of that particular saber, but I have to admit that that is a beautiful piece. You should be very proud

I believe that the "hero" version (although I've never heard it called that before) is the bladeless prop that Obi-Wan wears in the movies. It has a small indent which has the look of a tiny hole, and that's what we're supposed to imagine the blade coming out of. Here's a screen shot... you can see the indent in it if you look hard. Also, the MR version is accurate in that way.

Wow. VERY nice. I'm on the prowl for a replica od Qui Gon's sabre. hadn't found one yet. not even a half scale. I am working on that for you actually - PM sent The Hero version of the Obi actually saw very little screen time, it was mostly used for close up shots. Most of the time, what you see is a resin stunt hilt, one of the reasons for this is that Ewen didn't like the heavy saber pulling down his belt. I am going to pull a screen cap or 2 later for you guys - the Saber box they had from TPM had a decent shot of the front of the saber, I think ****Edit - here are those pics**** I threw the Qui Gon in there so you can see that the hero sabers have no holes - the saber box, well it just looks good Dave
