Attention all Jedi;
I just received a catalog in the mail from Museum Replicas Limited. This is company that specializes in weapons, armor and peroid clothing. I looked through it and guess what I found? Two pages called The Galatic Crusades...Mankind's Last Stand.
These pages had some nifty futuristic looking swords and polearm, but that wasn't the interesting part. What was is that they had Jedi tunics and boots.
Now while they are not exactly the ones from the movies, the boots look pretty good. One is a Qui-gon style in a reddish brown, and the other is an anakin style in black with a higher front piece. More good news is the price and size. $165 and $175 in men's sizes 5 - 13. They have zippers down the sides to make them easy to put on and remove. If you are interested PM me and I will try to find out more from thier web site.

They're prices are a bit better than MR, I see. I want to call them about the sizes & measurements, I like these, they might be a reasonable way to go, if they'll fit!?

I'll have to get someone to measure mine, I'm not sure what they are. I like the look of these & the price is reasonable. But Hooray, I found a pair of boots today! They aren't that tall, come to mid-shin, are plain brown boots, sturdy, were on sale, the last pair in the store & my size! we were meant to have each other. I bought them & some cushion orthotics & then went to shoemaker & am having him strech & soften here & there & and put on heel taps to keep them from worn down heels. The 3 year search is over! ;D

I actually have these boots. They are really nice. I put a layer of polish to give them more of a used look. I have to work that zipper up to make it past my calves. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Well, there is another solution, and I'll post the link tomorrow, after I unpack it. Met a guy a Super Mega Fest, saw some work he's done for others, looks very good. Basically, you need to get some short boots to fit & then he alters & adds to them and Voila, they looked great. Nice guy to! He's an RL member. Closing time, so, gotta go.

Ok, Here's the site, and Ashton was at the Mega 7 was a really nice guy, saw a lot of his stuff on several people. so check out www.ashtonomicon.com and his prices seemed pretty reasonable to me. My boots are going to pay him a visit as soon as I get them back from the shoemaker, where they are getting a bit of reshaping and zippers added. OH Yeah, Jedi Boots for Yule gift to myself!

Well, my boots are back from the shoemaker & now have zippers added. I emailed Ashton in Mass. to see if I can send them to him, and the best part is my boss gave me a nice little check for a Holiday bonus this week that will cover the shoemaker & and the customising that needs to be done and the shipping, w a bit left over. OH YEAH! Will post a picture when this is all done, he said he doesn't do any 2 pairs alike, and that he'll be able to dye the boots to match the leather add ons.

Well, now that the holidays and that craziness at work is over for the year, I took time to call Ashton on Monday & we talked about the boot modification he'll be doing for me soon, he's going to email so designs to me and then I'll have proper Jedi boots in time for CIII.
I'll also add, he does really great holsters for blasters as well as some other stuff, so, check his site out.

I am about to order these boots The calf is 17" so they will actually fit. I like the contrast of the leather and suede. The best part is they are one sale for $49. They had some others that looked good so you might want to check out their site Silhouettes.com. They have one pair on the right side of the screen that looks good. The calf is 18.5" and they cost $129. I was considering them for quite a while. I may see if I can have the ones I am ordering customized by someone. Maybe add extra straps.

I tried to order those boots but they were out of my size. However this just gave me an excuse to go ahead and get the more expensive ones that look more like Jedi boots anyway. Here is the pic To make it even easier to spend the extra dough, I got called in the work at Toyr R Us last night and asked to come in again tonight. That is an extra $50 on my paycheck which almost covers the differenc in price. Now I have to find a belt. I may try someone local. I am hesitant to spend $80+ on a belt.

The standard prequel jedi-belt is really less of a daunting task than it looks. The dye, leather, and tools needed are relatively inexpensive, especially if you utilize the screw-rivets rather than a riveting tool. The snap setting tool is about 9 bucks or something along those lines. We have a Tandy's here locally and that would make it even easier for you if there was one there
