I am searching for tall boots that aren't cowboy ones and don't cost more than $60. Does anyone know of a place to get them?

Lots of sources for women's right now, Men's cost more!! The Chadwicks site and Roaman's site both have some nice ones for women. They are on sale now, as the spring shoes are coming in. The links are in the links thread in the Jedi Boots.

check the military surplus stores in your area, the German government is currently getting rid of surplus East German Jackboots for cheap. I got a pair that cleaned up nicely for $20.

There are usually riding boots (as in equestrian) for sale on e-bay....some are really cheap...and they are usually pretty tall...like to the knee...confine your e-bay search to "riding boots" and you should find something.

eBay is the best. I bought a pair of "brown riding boots" for $7. Also try Wal-Mart. They are all on clearance now and I bought a pair of black (they were out of brown) for $3 and even better they had a small piece of elastic near the top to accomodate heavier people.

I just ordered my Jedi boots FINALLY!!! I have ordered them from Grand Prix Equestrian online. You can find their website here: www.gprix.comI paid about $43.00 dollars for my equestrian knee length boots. Sure , they are synthetic but I think they will look great! I'll let everyone know how they look when I get them.

Well, I think I've decied to have some custom made here in the city, as I can get them to my design, be certain that they'll fit & be comfortable, and not cost that much more than say ordering from motorcowboy, 'cos after shipping the difference is maybe $100 or less. I just got a custom order today that will pay for about 1/2 and I have one coming in later this week that will cover another chunk.

cool beans Nova...
I am still thrilled with my $26.00 ebay boots that I paid the local leatherworker $60.00 to customize....they will probably last me the rest of my life....they fit great...I have worn and walked in them for sometimes 12 hours at a time....there just is no substitute for a good looking/good quality leather boot!
