Hi- I was wondering, i am not particularly keen on buying a heap of material as i am only 13 and don't have much money so i was wondering if a Luke Skywalker episode 6 robe would be classed as jedi- thankyou ;D

If you are doing the complete Luke Return of the Jedi costume, then yes it would be a Jedi robe. For a prequel Jedi costume it would be a brown robe.

The black robe itself won't be acceptable. However, the robe itself is optional for the costume, so the rest of it should be fine.

Black robe here at TJA? No.
Well, I was going to direct you to the costume standards on the website. However, it's down. I'm told it will be back up soon.
Edit....while I was searching through my personal files for an off line copy of the costume standards (didn't find), Ani beat me to the answer.

With the robe that has the tucks--that would mean that the sleeves have seams at the shoulders? & the tucks would hide the seams right?

the tucks on the sleeves are in the overtunic. Looking at robes in the new book, there are no tucks. In fact, the sleeves are not inset at all.

I thought Obi-Wan had tucks in his robe in ep 2? It shows tucks in the padawans guide.

Ah ok, I haven't seen that book yet... kinda wish I bought it, but after reading reviews, maybe holding back was ok.
I was just going by the Visual dictionary and some publicity shots.

I'm glad EP III Obi-Wan doesn't have tucks in his robe. I mean, there's already so much material in that robe already, it doesn't need another layer at the shoulder, too!

I'm glad I wasn't seeing things for Ep 2. Does that mean that there could be shoulder seams under the tuck?

In some of the pics I have seen of the robe from Ep II it has a seam going up along the side of the robe to the sleeve. But in all of the pics the sleeves are far to bunched up for me to tell if there was a sleeve seam or not. I don't know if any of that helps though.
