I will be 18 in Aug. and I'm sure the costuming rules will be changed by then however can I submit a picture NOW to see if it meets the CURRENT standards so I know if I need to work on anything untill then?
(I'm sure with my multiple questions it seems that I'm impatient or trying to find loopholes but I assure you I'm not - just trying to make sense of some of the rules and get ready for when I'm old enough to get in.)

DXL, you are more than welcome to email me a costumed pic. The Jedi Council will be more than welcome to review your costume and offer assistance if needed.

Hmmm, a good padawan he is; becoming prepared, he is.

I wonder if any one had been accepted on their birthday before ... indeed a well prepared padawan they are.

I know that my Padawan Ryss got accepted right around her 18th birthday...I think she might have submitted her photo on her birthday....

I plan to take tons of costume pics @ SW/disney weekends so I should have pics up by late june. (excellent since my bday is in aug)
so as to save space I'll ask this next question in this same thread. since it is "shown" in the EU clone wars animated tv show - can armor be made up to go with your costume? even if (for comfort) some peices aren't included (ie: knee covering, back plate, crotch plates, etc.) I know it was mentioned in a lower forum but I wanted to be sure and ask directly.

From one who knows about Clone Armor only too well....the thing I would worry about first is actually GETTING the armor....
Clone Wars cartoon is actually canon...so IF you could put together a "Jedi General" exactly as Obi-Wan was seen wearing in the Clone Wars cartoon series...you would be good to go...
but like I said....try to find the armor...

ah, yet another question: I'm adding tabbards to my 2 jedi costumes and they're ready for SWDisney weekends and my app once I get done. I was wondering if you could do a quinlan vos costume? I know you'd have to see the finalized version but is it something even worth starting for the JA?

Quinlan Vos is a well documented EU Character-thus an exact duplication of his costume is acceptable...and much of his costume as portrayed in the comic books that I have seen is pretty basic Jedi stuff ....with a few twists....like the arm wraps.....
There are LOTS of reference color pictures of his costume in the Comics.....and...he almost made it into Revenge of the Sith.....he was never seen...but he was mentioned....

Actually, he is pictured in the comic book adaptation of Revenge of the Sith, wearing a traditional Jedi robe. I can't remember if we see the tunics or not. But yes, a Vos costume as we see it in the Republic comics is an acceptable costume, provided it is accurate, and not just a spin off of the character. I love that costume!

but if you want to make a copy you have to copy the entire thing, including the sabre We now have an answer. ;D When replicating a character's costume, be it cannon or EU, we encourage that the saber match, but do not require it. However we do require that the blade color match when the glows are added in. Anyone have any further questions on that?
